The Yellow Capsule Cancun Close to Airport

My first night the pods power stopped working, they had to switch pods. The second night I couldn’t get my tv going in the new pod, the remote needed batteries. The door from locker to beds has a lip in the floor that is protruding up, it’s dark in rooms and can’t see that lip. I split my toe open stubbing it. The locker room is very small and is uncomfortable with people in there because you can’t walk by with doors open. I had a good stay overall. But changes could be made for safety and relaxation.

Overall it was pretty good experience. The capsule is comfortable enough for resting overnight. Hotel transportation to the airport was a bit pricey.

The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He was the only person running the entire place which I think is the reason the place was not clean. The front desk and kitchen/ rest area was clean because he constantly cleaned. I didn’t like that both female and males shared the locker room, because we had to open our lougage to grab our pijamas. Plus they only have one small table to open your lougage. So everyone can see your belongings, and people are standing wAiting for the table. I ended up opening my bag under the bathroom sink, which was very disgusting. The entrance to the bathroom/ showers did not have a door, therefor any men in the locker room can see you brush your teeth etc. the showers, toilets, sinks, floor, locker room area, capsule, shower head was very very dirty. I didn’t see a cleaning person at all. The front desk guy was doing it all and he was busy checking in guest. It felt very gross showering since I notice all kinds of hair and slime everywhere. The capsule also had hair everywhere. They don’t give you blankets which I thought it was strange since it is a hotel. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Very very hard to fall at sleep. I have always wanted to stay in one of these, I’m glad I did, but I will never do it again. And they don’t have parking.

Excellent costumer sevice, although shared toilets and bathing rooms, they are sparkling clean when I was there. The breakfast is delicious. Nice comfortable space if.you have to wait there after checkout.

Room was perfect, only thing I didn’t enjoy was the locker. To small to have 50 capsules. Only one table to organize your things and if there is 1 or more people at the same time you is uncomfortable.

Very cool sci-fi hotel. Found the capsules clean, reasonably quiet, and comfortable. The staff welcoming and receptive. Shared washrooms and facilities clean, good space. Private transport is a plus, as well as the delicious morning breakfast. Definitely see myself coming back if I am ever in Cancun again, whether with a group or solo travel :)

Had a short stay for a very early morning flight found washrooms especially men's dirty. Urinals reaked never flushed out the 10 hours we stayed. Not being dramatic, had to hold my breath in the washroom. Smell ran into the locker area. Sinks/ countertop soaking wet and looking for an area set down belongings/items. Capsule and area appeared clean. Capsules ventilation seemed poor had trouble on high setting even cooling down slightly, we needed to open the door to get fresher air and to help cool the unit down. I feel fan air movement is not adequate or needing of service.

Safe box never worked even after 2 or 3 trials with the staff twin cabin mattress quality is average, my locker was damaged, to close have a little trick, washroom is average.

O Hotel tem ótimo custo benefício. Muito limpo, organizado e ótimo atendimento. O ambiente todo tem um cheiro muito bom, a música ambiente é agradável, e café da manhã que é servido (Wafles e ovos), é muito saboroso. Café, água e chás a vontade o dia todo. Pra quem tem problemas de lugar fechado não recomendo, porque a cápsula é bem pequena. Apenas o chuveiro poderia ser melhor. Fica num complexo onde tem alguns restaurantes, shopping, Walmart, Sam’s, farmácia e outras lojas. Mas adorei a experiência, tanto que voltei porque não consegui embarcar no voo da volta para o Brasil.

Todo muy limpio, futurista y el servicio muy amable. Recomiendo para sacar del apuro de una noche o pocas noches

The capsules are clean however sheets are old and have stains.

The other guests closing the capsule doors in the night made it hard to sleep. They do provide ear plugs for that but still can be annoying. Breakfast has limited options.

It is my first time staying in a property like this. I have mixed feelings. They definitely need to advertise as a hostel, because that’s what it is. For a quick overnight stay to get some sleep it would be perfect however I don’t understand how they would buy pods and stock them on top of each other when the neighboring pod has a light on it shines through into your pod, only the connected pod to yours. Also I experience during the middle of the night people turning on lights in the main room where the pods/capsules are and then it lights up everything. So I think if they could find a way to control that it would be awesome. I also think that They should take into consideration that Americans need cooler air conditioning the pods do not have air-conditioning but they do have airflow so it’s dependent upon the air conditioning in the room that the pods are located in. It’s always better to be a little cooler than to be hot no one likes to sleep in the hot or at least a mass majority of people don’t. I know that I don’t. so I stayed two nights, one night was without any issues with the lights or the temperature and the other night I was woken up several times because of the lights and because of the temperature. I will say that the staff is extremely nice and it was five stars for cleanliness. I think that there must be a way for them to control the temperature and lighting situation. You don’t get blankets you get a sheet.

No pudimos dormir. Los colchones no son suficientemente gruesos asi que duermes en el piso. Se escucha lo de las capsulas de a lado y lo peor el calor. No puedes regular la temperatura de la capsula. La unica opcion que te dan es que la abras para que entre el frio de afuera. La limpieza es buena, en general el personal es amable. El desayuno es bueno y el cafe las 24 horas muy buen detalle. Pero arreglen lo de las cápsulas de verdad era insoportable el calor y eso que estoy acostumbrada a temperaturas altas. Más que descanso parecía una tortura.

Overall not a bad place. My only complaint is that with 30-40 pods in a room, the doors opening and closing are too loud. They need to insulate the doors so you hear less and the extra weight would make them quieter. Also, do the doors really need a confirmation set of beeps? Beeping all night I couldn't sleep. Cool concept. Needs tweaking

Las cápsulas son muy reducidas, si tienes claustrofobia definitivamente no es un lugar para ti. Si te toca una cápsula inferior, el techo se mueve mucho cuando hay huéspedes arriba. Eso si, muy limpio, el colchón es cómodo y el personal muy amable.

It was a little hot but all in all VERY comfy. My husband is 6”3 and about 320 and I’m 5”2 190. We were super comfy for our 1 night stay.

Bed was not comfy

Its okay but not easy to get in and out of these capsules. You have to crawl inside. Also in the capsule there Is no place to set a drink down. No shelves at all just a mattress about 4" thick. Pretty comfortable but getting out is a challenge unless you are young and or fit. They should have bars to support your weight to pull yourself out but instead very flimsy plastic interior. Its a good concept which needs improvement.

Es un lugar súper cómodo para descansar! Está a buen precio y a 15 minutos del aeropuerto! Queda cerca del Walmart, Sam’s , algunos restaurantes! Tuvimos un detalle con los vecinos de cápsula de abajo 👇 pero lo reportamos e inmediatamente nos cambiaron de cápsula y todo bien ! Cuenta con lockers para guardar tus cosas son espaciosos! Te dan toalla y tapones de oídos 👂 El desayuno es muy rico 😋! Luisa es muy atenta y amable ! Súper lo recomiendo !

Incredible service and hosts.

It was a pleasant experience at the Yellow Capsule. Cleanliness of the beds are important and the staff works hard to keep all common areas disinfected , super clean, and in order. Very American friendly. Victor and Karen ( front desk ) are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They enjoy their jobs and meeting people! Very hospitable. Great location. See you next time. They told me that you will get a discount the next night, and when I came to make payment, they told me to take your clothes and go out

This property held my passport because THEIR point of payment wasn’t working so I couldn’t pay a cleaning fee, you have the option of leaving your ID as security deposit for the 2 keys and I did that, at check out I turned in both keys so I should have got my passport back. That cleaning fee had nothing to do with my passport and especially their out of order payment system, mind you, my airport transportation was waiting outside with other travelers in the van for over 30 min! I even had to be outside earlier and the night shift lady was doing too much!

Perfect for the solo traveler just looking for a quiet place to rest near the airport. Glad I gave it a try, it worked well for me.

Great location and friendly staff! It is away from downtown Cancun, but close to public transportation so you’re only a short drive away.

It is neat little place with extremely nice staff and great breakfast. I enjoyed the capsule to sleep in but I could easily hear the next capsule. The guy was snoring loud all night.not close to the beach and still 20 minutes to the airport.

It is great for a good nights rest and the breakfast is great. I am having major dental work done at Gnux Dental which is just downstairs from the yellow capsule. I like the location since it is safe and there are many good dining options within walking distance. It is not far from the airport (about a 20 minute taxi). The staff at the Yellow Capsule are friendly and helpful.

Boa acomodação para um pernoite. Cápsula confortável, deu para ter uma boa noite de sono mesmo sendo compacto. Café da manhã é modesto, apenas meio waffle com alguns pedaços de banana e ovos mexidos.
