Stayed 5 nights

Have stayed here before and this is our best visit this time. Food is above what is to be expected at an All inclusive. Zacharias at the Dijon was wonderful. A great food experience at the Dijon. Beach is the best in the Hotel zone with the jetti to give you calm water and see the fish. The room and the view from the Altitude Tower is worth the little extra it costs. The only bad thing was we had no hot water the entire 5 days in our room. It was tolerable especially since we were out all day in the sun. If you are not interested in the Time share pitch let them know from the very start and don’t waste your time or there’s chasing after you. Highly recommend the Grill restaurant and the Dijon. The Risotto was good but typical and the Japanese/Hibachi was the same. The coffee shop has Gelato in the afternoon so you better get there before 3 because they make 1 batch 5 different flavors and once it’s gone…it’s gone until the next day. Hopefully we will be back soon

Stayed 5 nights

Stay at Altitude – Krystal Grand Cancun (5 nights) Great stay overall with a few areas to improve. The resort offers 4 restaurants (Asian/hibachi, Italian, grill, and French). No limits on dining, except the French restaurant (adults only). Make reservations on Day 1. We booked through Hotels.com and got 2 beachside cabanas—nice perk. Special thanks to Mariana at the front desk for helping us secure a cabana on Day 2. Café was excellent (coffee, desserts, ice cream). Pool and beach service was attentive and consistent. Cons: Bathrooms had a noticeable sewer smell in both rooms. Infinity pool is adults-only. Civecheria needs more staff—only one waiter handling everything. Activities were inconsistent (e.g., beach volleyball scheduled daily but only happened once). Overall: Good experience with great dining and service, but maintenance and staffing improvements are needed.

Stayed 9 nights

We had a great stay and would happily return. The hotel has plenty of pool lounging options, especially if you're staying in Altitude where you also get access to the infinity pool. Towels do go on loungers early, but that’s just part of the routine. The beach is right there as well if you prefer that. The staff were really friendly throughout. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and welcoming, which made a big difference to the overall experience. Tip-wise, it’s worth bringing plenty of 20 peso notes (roughly $1/£1) for drinks around the complex. The drinks themselves were good, we never felt the need to pay extra for premium options. The travel desk sorted trips to Chichen Itza and Isla Mujeres with bus pick up on site. The restaurants were understandably busy at peak times (you can book), but they were always well managed and worth the wait. The food quality was high, with plenty of variety, and we didn’t have a disappointing meal. A special mention goes to Luis in the Grill and Zacarias in Le Delice, who both provided exceptional service and were really friendly. The location is another big plus. It’s well situated with a short walk to local bars, shops and a supermarket. We always felt safe both in and around the hotel. If you’re a runner, head toward Coco Bongo, there’s a walkway that takes you all the way down the strip. Overall, great stay in a great location.
