Excellent property. Small but well appointed room with luxurious bedding and bathroom. Also, complimentary coffee and snacks in room were a Nice touch. Location was central to great shopping and restaurants.

Lovely boutique style hotel. We spent the night for my husband’s birthday. Room was small but well appointed and made good use of the space. Check in was really smooth and easy. We had some drinks in the bar - I felt the service was a bit underwhelming for a 5 star hotel bar (and associated prices..!). Waiters were perfectly friendly and nice but lacked the subtle urgency and attentiveness you’d expect from a bar like this. A bit of a wait for drinks, had to keep going to the bar to order / request menus, didn’t notice when we’d finish our drink to ask if we’d like another - that sort of thing. Maybe it wasn’t table service but other tables were being served so it wasn’t clear! They did bring a nice dessert as it was my husband’s birthday which was very thoughtful and included mini bar in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was really lovely but they did forget my eggs order. Overall it was good but not the best.

Lovely stay friendly staff, small room for the cost but comfortable. Great shower. Room service really hard to order - phone not working initially, then when it would dial out it kept going to reception not room service who kept forwarding my call which went unanswered. Great gym

It was disappointing that an expensive hotel in Mayfair with room rates in excess of £500/night doesn’t keep the bar open after 11pm. The first evening I got back to the hotel at around 11:10, and waited in the bar while one of the staff spent 10 minutes chatting to two female customers having just served them and then came over to tell me that the bar was closed … but for me he could offer some bottled beer, but nothing else. The following evening was only marginally better in that they told me as I walked into the bar at 11:15 that no service was possible. Disappointed- and won’t be staying again in the future.

We loved this very high end boutique hotel. The staff were perfect by any standard and the location is unparalleled. The hotel bar is rather small and sits in the centre of the hotel with no outside facing windows. But the food and drink are excellent.

Stayed here the night before my wedding and the pre-check in service was excellent. I was upgraded on arrival and the reception staff and porter were very welcoming. The room was fantastic with all the amenities you’d expect. A spacious bathroom with excellent products. The bar service was not good. The initial order taking was overfamiliar and unprofessional, and then the barman a) Didn’t know our order was in and b) was left alone and took an age to make a negroni and old fashioned, which seemed more to be about not knowing the ingredients than the process taking some time. The breakfast service was slow as well and food was average. I would stay again for the room but there seems to be a disparity between front of house staff and waiting staff.

Overall amazing property. Friendly staff, excellent communal spaces - Gym, Bar, Restaurant etc. The room is a little small but well appointed. comfortable bed, great TV channel selection, and excellent water pressure in the shower. the unlimited free mini bar (no alcohol) is a nice perk. My only real complaint would be that if your room doesn't face the main street, it's dark as the building you window faces is tall and also under construction. It woke us up in the morning a couple of times. The hotel however is an excellent location. central to most things but nestled into Mayfair and around the corner from Shepard market which is full of great restaurants.

This was my second time staying at the Mayfair Townhouse and it was just as great as my first! The staff here are top notch and even remembered me from my last visit (luckily in a good way they say). Extremely clean and very close walk to the tube station, parks & restaurants. Will absolutely stay again!

My room was spotless and very comfortable. The bed was so amazing. I felt at home and welcomed every day. The room is a bit on the smaller side and I upgraded. Honestly, it was such a wonderful experience with very attentive staff Nebih was particularly helpful. Additionally, te concierge

Small rooms but clean

Great stay with very high standards of service and cleanliness.

While the room was very nice and clean, it smelled like smoke! I complained both days and all the was offered was a spray of fabreeze! I was never offered another room nor was an accommodation made. All of my clothes smell like smoke and are now at the dry cleaner!

Staff, cleanliness, service

only dissapointment was our room had quiet a strong smell of dust upon entry. Nothing horrific as was used it after short period in room, it was highly likely caused by construction work out side window. But the room, staff and location are fab, especially if dinning near area. Hide for breakfast round the corner is a must as well

Excellent staff. Concierge, Doorman, Desk people were very helpful with taxis, restaurant reservations and information about the surrounding sites. The hotel is in excellent condition befitting its 5 star status. Housekeeping was incredible. My wife became ill in the middle of the night with vomiting after eating at a restaurant earlier before the theater. I cleaned up as best that I could with all of the towels and then called for new towels. Two women came immediately and replaced all of the bedding and towels and cleaned the floor in about 15 minutes. Unbelievable service. They probably deserved more than the 20 pound tip that I gave them. Location is great for walking to the theater district near Piccadilly Circus in 15-20 minutes. London “tube” entrance 1 block away. Piccadilly Bus Line 1 block. Walked to Buckingham Palace across Green Park in 10 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel with such excellent staff.

Being on a side street just off Piccadilly means that you have immediate access to everywhere you'd want but you have none of the associated traffic noise. We had a room overlooking Half Moon Street and were pleased and pleasantly surprised how quite it is overnight. The bed, bed linen etc are all very good and it's nice to find a London hotel where the AC actually works as intended and is silent ... all of this results in a very good night's sleep. Staff are all exceptionally polite and professional but whoever serviced our room missed the fact that we did not wan the linen or towels changing ... a minor issue but we do try our best to be environmentally friendly during such stays. Would definitely choose this hotel again.

Ideally situated. Room and wardrobe space limited. Decor in room was rather dull. Secondary glazing would help with street noise. Bed and bedding so comfortable.

Really beautiful hotel. The room is small but nevertheless well appointed and very comfortable, and generally a great deal given the location and amenities. It was great for one person but might be a little cramped for two.

The location was great, walking distance to so many sights. The rooms were small, no place for luggage, too cramped.

This property is in a great Mayfair location. The rooms are small and corridors are tight as you would expect in central London but well equipped. Our room had no outside window ( it faced to other brick walls) so felt rather claustrophobic and the remote control worked for both TVs at the same time which was annoying but the staff, food, decor and location were all excellent!

Seems overrated as a "luxury" hotel. Let's start with the good: 1. Mayfair is a nice area overall and you can walk from the hotel to several coffee shops and a Shepherd's Lane area with many small restaurants around the corner. 2. Green Park and its tube station are only a couple of blocks away 3. Porters were generally agreeable 4. Hotel is clean and seems to be popular with international guests Now the drawbacks: 1. Small rooms (not that unusual for London) with VERY THIN WALLS. This was a major detractor for me. 2. Bathroom privacy was concerning as the window has a thin curtain that does not blackout visibility and I do not believe windows are tinted. If I were female I'd be concerned taking a shower. 3. The shower/tub lacks a full door so water gets on the ground of the bathroom very easily. 4. No dental kit or other typical bathroom amenities. In contrast, I stayed another night and previously for a week at another hotel on Leicester Square that had great amenities. 5. No in-room guide to tell you if there even IS in-room dining 6. Not sure if there is a gym but no pool/spa that I can tell, or if so, no evidence of marketing it to the guests 7. As nice as Mayfair generally is as an area, this hotel is not actually near any department stores, boutiques, grocery stores, etc. It's a considerable walk over to Regent Street for older travelers or families with young kids (I would NOT recommend this hotel to such families, as the rooms are too small and walls too thin).

Super small room. But location is key

Did not feel this was a “deluxe room. Very small. First room had a view of an active construction site. Second room was on ground floor. Constant pedestrian and car and truck traffic. No privacy.

We had a wonderful stay at The Mayfair Townhouse. From the moment we entered until the moment we left everyone was so friendly and gracious. The location was wonderful near stores, a mall and a beautiful park right across Buckingham Palace. Getting a cab was easy with the help of the staff. Though we purposely chose to walk everywhere that wasn’t too far to get in our steps. And once back in the room, we had the most comfortable bed. We slept so wonderfully in our nice cool room. Lastly, the hotel offered a delicious breakfast with a variety of food that met everyone’s taste and room service came in handy for those late night cravings. It was my first time in London and I can’t wait to go back and stay, once again, at The Mayfair Townhouse.

Front desk staff couldn’t find my reservation when I arrived. Rooms dark and small, wait staff find . Front desk should not be working in hospitality. I stayed because its Sister hotel 11 Cadogan gardens which is excellent was full. This place couldn’t be more different or less satisfactory

Lovely stay, great service

The overall service level of complete staff is very high but especially with frontdesk Andre who was very accommodating with my room when I arrived before official check-in time and Bari one of the doorman who's overall help and friendliness

The facility is fine. The service however was abysmal. Either the staff doesn’t know what they’re doing or they don’t care. Couldn’t tell which. Requests for things in the room went unanswered multiple times. Reception would say they’d call with assistance and just not. The front desk had a really difficult time charging things correctly: it was like it was everyone’s first day. Would never recommend this place and won’t stay there again for sure.

We stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday - we received the best service from all the staff, the room was decorated for his birthday and it was such a nice surprise for him. A place we will certainly be staying again when we come to London!

I was told to wait downstairs for my room to be ready and that I would be called whenever that was. After a few hours of no call, I decided to check for myself and I was told the room had been ready for a couple hours. No one came to get me, and no one called me. This isn’t how I want to spend my time after a redeye flight, and I don’t think if the checkout is at noon that I should have to wait till 3 to check in, especially if I’m willing to pay to have this expedited.

Very nice property, great condition. All people I met were really polite, except for at check-in. A bit short in the tone and not very friendly. However, we’re all human and can have better or worse days. All in all a great experience.

I stay in London most weeks and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The service was appalling, pretentious even. Couldn’t get served when I had a business client with me at the bar ( the bar was virtually empty), but when we stood up to leave, the waitress sped over with the bill. My client looked at me in disbelief. My room booking (for £455 a night) included breakfast. But I was challenged at reception and the concierge had to ring a manager, who asked for him to take a photo of my phone with the booking confirmation to PROVE that breakfast was included. Then he proceeded to tell me they’re having a lot of problems like this with Expedia bookings! Then why challenge me as if I’m lying? Honestly, the worst service I have ever had in any hotel, never mind a supposed luxury one. PS it wasn’t the concierge fault…he was merely doing what his manageress was instructing him over the phone. Terrible!

We love this hotel. Centrally located in beautiful Mayfair, a stone’s throw from restaurants, pubs and shopping. A short walk to the tube and just across from the park. The staff is exceptional and helpful. Beautiful place to stay.

I wanted to stay in Mayfair neighborhood as a central location from which to explore London, and it was perfect for that! I was around a lot of nice restaurants that were walkable at night, which was nice as I was solo. The hotel is 5 minutes from Green Park Station, for 3 underground lines and a bus stop, plus walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Westminster area, Piccadilly/Trafalgar and more. Location can't be beat. The hotel itself felt quite luxurious, however the room was small and would have felt quite cramped if there were 2 people (it was their smallest option). I was only there to sleep and change however, so it made no difference to me. Service was warm, efficient and friendly.

Great location

Perfect location, right by the Green Park tube station, an incredibly easy ride to/from Heathrow. Mayfair is a lovely neighborhood, and Green Park leads you to Buckingham Palace....the Piccadilly Line is so convenient, all just a couple blocks from the hotel. Also, the staff was amazing! I needed assistance with finding a pharmacy and they were on it immediately.

This is an excellent hotel, perfectly located for visitors wanting to see well-known sites.

I loved this stay! I was traveling solo and felt safe, comfortable and cared for. There was always staff available at the front to open the doors or answer any questions. I had breakfast downstairs twice and enjoyed it thoroughly. My room was the perfect size, and the complimentary mini bar was a fantastic touch!

Fabulous boutique hotel. Great location near Green Park. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The staff are friendly and professional. The room was comfortable and an adequate size for a weekend break. A couple of observations, not much space in the bathroom for personal toiletries and the hanging space in the wardrobe is short and so long dresses are crumpled up. Dandy’s bar is quaint and the food lovely. Staff again polite, friendly & professional. A great stay, I would return and highly recommend to others.

Great breakfast

Incredible gem in London's best neighborhood that doesn't break the bank. The Green Park station across the street ensures that you have convenient access to basically anywhere in zone 1 within like 30 min. Getting to locations like Buckingham, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Soho, etc is only a 10-20 min walk. Very nice layout and the lobby/bar design lends itself very well to socialization (unlike most Hotels that are very impersonal). Their description of it being a "home away from home" during your stay is accurate. The deluxe room, while small, is more than sufficient for 2 people. Wonderfully comfortable and refreshing bed and bathroom. It's all beautifully finished with obvious attention paid to detail and we really admired their little personal touches like the handwritten welcome note.
