Excellent property and cleanliness. Greats views of the Caribbean Sea from each room. Staff was friendly and attentive. Very good menu for Breakfast. Beach side good service for lunch and snacks as well !! Dinner at the lounge with live music on some nights was appreciated. Must try spicy tuna sushi ! Fresh and so good !! Other amenities such as gym, sauna, spa, saloon are great ! Outdoor ocean view jacuzzi is incredible. Convenient location to some great restaurants and mall around, walkable. If I had to pick on something it would be allocation of room, initially I was given a handicap room on the ground floor when I did not need or request for one. I was given better options for the next day however. But apart from that everything was a very good experience at the hotel, staff is considerate and helpful 👍

Good hotel, not too much entertainment, but dining options were nice, staff friendly, property was clean. I only stayed 4 nights and went on daily tours, so I didn’t get to use spa or gym etc., however, I checked them out and they looked nice .

Everything, from cleanliness to the staff, was excellent. The location is fantastic, with a walkable area that offers great convenience. However, it may not be the best place for kids. There is no designated children’s area or pool with toys, and the kids' club has limited activities in a small space.

lovely grand old school hotel, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. great pool and gym. beautiful lobby. the rooms and decor in other areas are elegant but perhaps starting to look a little dated and tired. It would be spectacular with a more contemporary refurb. the restaurants onsite are a little overpriced and uninviting. overall a great hotel experience.

The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, going out of their way to answer every question and make sure all of our needs were taken care of. Our room was spotless and offered a stunning view of the ocean. The pools were also exceptionally well-maintained, with attentive staff ensuring everything was clean and enjoyable.

A bit expensive for the quality of product provided! The rooms are nice and all face the ocean. Don’t bother pay for ocean view unless u really wanna see the ocean from every part of ur room. The breakfast was okay. I would not pay money for it. Staff are professional but the front desk was super pushy for upgrade and tried to make it extra difficult to accommodate my party of 3. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay but mothing to right home about! The pools are kinda small and so is the hot tub. The kids club is a joke and is not appropriately staffed.

The Kempinski Hotel in Cancun was an incredible experience. The entire property was spotless, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The view from our room 4010 is mostly of other balconies and those balconies see right in to the room. It’s great from the door and the desk, no good from the bed and leisure chair. I would not pay for a sea front room for this view. When I’m in a tropical vacation, I like to see the sea when I wake up in the morning - right from the bed! I like to lay in the bed and not been seen by other balconies.

Overall experience was average. The price we paid wasn’t worth the money. The hotel is a bit outdated and needs a hefty lift in the amenities side. The room was old and the windows were with smudges, the drawers besides the bad and the TV had some kind of bugs inside. The breakfast can be better with a more vast variety of food (I am comparing to the same amount of money in a resort breakfast in playa del carmen we paid - you get a check every meal). The service is amazing, the beach as well, though a thorough cleaning is needed when there are algae in the sea. The staff is very welcoming, polite and attentive to all needs.

The service is 100% flawless here…which is why I continue to return. The rooms are starting to look a little frazzled (sheets had holes, bathrooms are VERY out of date, paint was peeling). But I will return solely for the amazing service. However, I do hope some serious remodeling is in the near future.

A special thank you to Salma, who made sure every element—from the big moments to the smallest touches—was handled perfectly for me and my family. As a welcome surprise, one of our rooms was upgraded upon arrival. Throughout our stay, the service was consistently outstanding. The staff regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and were always one step ahead of our requests. One thing that really stood out: during our excursions, our family was the only group picked up and dropped off right at the hotel entrance—while other guests from nearby hotels had to cross busy streets. It made us feel genuinely cared for. The Casitas restaurant team deserves special praise. Excellent service and facilities. Manager was on site daily in a suit helping in every capacity from towels at the pool for guests to checking in during dinner service and helping the wait staff. Second time staying in this property, it is probably the best in Cancun since I’ve been there 23 times! Although it is a lot more expensive for dinning. Breakfast buffet is 60 dollar per person and a small lunch for 3 ppl is definitely over 100 dollar. It’s very quiet and luxurious so I feel like it is worth it. Will definitely go back

The property was very good and the staff, with some notable exceptions, were extremely friendly and professional. The front desk staff left a lot to be desired. We posed several questions and never received any replies, or wholly inadequate and unresponsive ones. Food options were EXTEREMLY limited, and not worth the charges. By the end of our 15 day stay I could recount the precise order and contents of the breakfast "buffet", and the so-called Sunday brunch simply added one or two items. I highly recommend that the property consider having more varied options, including a dinner buffet (more varied than the breakfast buffet, hopefully) and that two "high end" restaurants, both of which were almost completely devoid of patrons most nights, are a waste of space. Finally, in an age of high speed internet and satellite TV options, the internet in our room was abysmal. We asked for some attention to this, as my wife is a digital artist and needed functioning high speed internet to work, but the response was deafening in its silence. As for TV, which we only accessed in the evening for a few hours, the guide was not in anyway connected to the actual channels, and watching Mexican wrestling, second or third division soccer, or ancient NFL reruns, was a disappointment and quite laughable. My wife and I have travelled extensively throughout the world and stayed at Hotels with the same claim to luxury as this one. The amount we spent here was not close to worth our dollars.

A property more for a family environment or the older crowd. We loved that it was classy, luxurious, and not trying to be trendy for a younger demographic. The staff was amazing and made us feel like we were special guests. The breakfast buffet was great. Only very small critique is the menu options for lunch and dinner were not very extensive, although everything we had was great.

Bring a big fat wallet. This place is outrageously expensive. The food is mediocre. Menu variety limited. Food was never hot just warm. it's going to cost you $100 for breakfast for two and it goes up from there. I'll never stay there again.

The hotel seems to have a lot of fame, but it is certainly not worth the exorbitant price per night. The room itself was clean and the staff was extra helpful and kind. The downside, though, is that the pools are very "exposed" to the sun and the shade is almost non-existent. There are umbrellas but they are not too helpful. The beach has some beautiful private areas and we thought we could use them but the staff explained that there was an additional $300 per day for use of two chairs in the shade. That, on top of the $435 per night charge, and the $60 per night resort charge. This place does not feel like a resort at all. It feels like a very bare, very pricey place that no one goes to. I think there were maybe 20 guests total when we went. The pools - which are free- are not "wow" - they are your basic 3-star hotel pools you can find anywhere in and outside of Mexico. For this price I was expecting a much more luxurious experience. Overpriced and not worth it.

Overall, my stay at the Kempinski was exceptional. The service, ambiance, and attention to detail truly stood out. The only minor drawback was the pillows, which could have been more comfortable.
