Indianapolis Luxury Clean Downtown Home.

When we arrived at the home at 9 pm the thermostat read 82 degrees and the upstairs window units had not been turned on so it was at least 10 degrees warmer in the bedrooms upstairs. We set the thermostat to 70 and it said 2 hours to cool. After 4 hours the thermostat read 77 degrees downstairs. In the meantime we went upstairs and sat on the queen size bed which immediately fell to the floor revealing that the bed frame had been taped together showing the host already knew the bed needed to be replaced. The listing stated that the downstairs bedroom had a king bed. It did not. It was a queen. While waiting for the hvac system to be addressed we discovered that several of the ground floor windows would not lock. We felt very unsafe in this downtown neighborhood. It took so long for the host to respond we had to call vrbo for assistance. Vrbo was unhelpful in resolving our issues amd had a difficult time getting ahold of the host. I slept on a mattress on the floor in an unsecured hot house. After many attempts at communication, the host did finally replace the bed frame. However, the host did not address any of our other many issues. We attempted to communicate several times with the host with no response. He refused to acknowledge the safety concerns or the fact that the home did not match the listing. Both couches were broken. These are only the highlights of what was wrong with this stay. We have requested compensation with no response. I do not recommend this house.

It is very old - the stairs are very narrow and dangerous. There is no bathroom upstairs and it is in a questionable part of town. Only upside is it is close to a lot of business related venues.

Close to downtown, quick uber ride. Recommend for an alternative less expensive option to downtown hotels.

Overall this is a nice house with plenty of room and centrally located but the service from the owner was less than acceptable. There was no coffee and no laundry detergent, which isn’t a big deal but never responded to inquiries. What really isn’t acceptable is that the thermostat defaulted to 60 every hour. So you could turn the heat up but every hour, it would turn back down to 60. So both nights, we ended up very cold when we woke up. When asked about it; again, no response. Disappointing because the actual house was pleasant.
