HESTA Hakone - GUEST HOUSE -

部屋は清潔で広々しています。部屋にはシャワーはありませんでしたが、大浴場があり、ここも良かったです。 ただ、冷凍のカレーやカップ麺はあるもののまともな食事を取れるサービスはありませんでした。周りにお店もありません。夕食を取らずにチェックインすると、事実上、まともな食事はできません。朝食も同様です。 チェックインは、16時からでしたが、それまでフロントには人はいませんでした。また、フロントは21時までで、サービスを終了します。朝もフロントには人がいませんので、箱に鍵を入れてチェックアウトです。 価格が安いので、合理的なサービスとなっていると思いました。 駐車場はあるので、車で宿泊する人には、良いホテルだと思います。

The building was old but very well furnished! Comfortable rooms, spacious. The onsen was fantastic. The guest house was understaffed, but the receptionist was kind. I would absolutely reccomend this place to stay, especially to make use of the Hakone FreePass! The Ropeway and the pirate ship were 15 minites away walking and the bus stop for the H and J lines were right outside the property.

Quiet place but kind of remote, a decent walk to get down to the Lake. The facility has no elevator but is only two floors. Most of the restaurants in the area close early and the hotel doesn’t have a Cafeteria / Restaurant, just vending machines and a concession stand.

Bien que la guest house soit bien placé, pas très cher, bien entretenu, celle ci à des machines pour boir mais aussi à manger, un bain partagé ouvert presque tout le temps et des machines à laver et sèche linge qui ne coûte pas trop cher. Je note tout de même ces quelques points qui embêté durant le voyage : - la principale,une odeur de souffre abominable au réveil, je me suis demandé si ça provenait de mes collocataires, de lair de la région le matin, ou de la climatisation/chauffage... Je n'ai pas trouvé - Les attractions, temples, etc sont limitées, il faut se rendre à l'autre bout d'hakone pour en voir plus. - Ensuite vient s'ajouter les transports qui débute tard pour la plupart et finissent tôt par la même occasion. - Les indications que j'ai obtenu avec de l'aide ou en fouinant moi même concernant les déplacements n'était pas au top, en deux jours d'excursions j'ai découvert des moyens plus rapide pour me rendre ou je voulais. En revanche : - les transports sont vraiment pas cher pour voyager dans la région, mais j'apprécie beaucoup le hakone free pass qui permet des économies. Pour voyager à hakone, il faut être préparé ou véhiculé.

The onsen is amazing.

Enjoyed staying here! Quiet and comfortable. I think it would be a lot easier to get around if stayed in Gora though. Also didn’t realize it was a shared bath (no shower/bath in room) but it was nice. There is also an additional fee you have to pay at the property for the bath (hot springs).

Parking avec places disponibles en mai sans souci. Cela semble peu pratique sans voiture si vous voulez manger dehors etc car peu de choses dispos à pieds. Onsen vraiment très propre et avec des produits à disposition : différents gel douches/ shampoing et conditionner. Ce sont les meilleurs produits qu’on ait eu dans les onsens. Propreté impeccable. Nourriture rapide à disposition en vente à la réception ou via des machines. Attention de bien avoir en tête que les chambres n’ont pas de salles de bain : seulement lavabo et toilette. Il faut donc se doucher dans les onsens (nus, non mixtes).

The staff that help us was extremely helpful. We stayed for one night and it was very nice. The onsen was needed at the end of day to soak. The only think was there was an extra charge of 6.00 CAnwas on the website and there is nothing close by if you did not bringAN witch I do not recall

A stay on the cheaper side of the usual Hakone pricing. Very big room. The public bath was not well maintained, and therefore not enjoyable to use. Location is not ideal but not a big issue if you have a car available.

The hotel is old with stains all over the bed linens , cold shower and check in at 4 p.m and check out 10 am with service average and the place itself is like the 90 s Only food is out of dispensors i will not stay here again

とても親切な対応で満足していますが、部屋入り口付近のライトがセンサーなのですが、ベッドで寝返りすると反応してしまい、センサーを切ることもできず、あまり眠れませんでした。 あと最初部屋に大きな虫が4-5匹いて驚きましたが、やっつけた後はでてきませんでした。あとお風呂がとても熱く水埋めもできないので、熱いのが苦手な私はつかることができませんでした。

Not the cleanest place I’d ever stayed in and it’s definitely dated but you get what you pay for. The rooms are huge western size, more than enough room for two people and to spread luggage everywhere too. The gentlemen on reception was very polite and helpful, had a translation device to hand for a few of my more complex requests.

料理は凝っていて美味しかった。 やさいサラダのブッフェがよかった。 建物は写真より古かった。 窓の桟にゴミがあり気になった。 部屋に入った際にややカビ臭い感じがした。 温泉は清潔感があってよかった。

The hotel locates in a quiet place, with difficulties to find the location, no restaurants and other facilities around. No elevator as well. If well prepared for all these inconvenience, this hotel is definitely worth a try, with its more than reasonable price. The hotel rooms seems to be newly renovated, large size, very clean and comfortable. I love it so much, would come back again definitely 💕.

お風呂のドアにカビが生えていました。

酒店房間已翻新，所以感覺10分良好，房間寬闊，房間價格便宜性價比高，下次到箱根都會租住這間酒店。

箱根の中心エリアからはやや距離があり、周辺にはお店も無いので、自動車での利用がほぼマストですが、部屋は綺麗にリノベされており、とても過ごしやすかったです。金額を考えれば、かなりお得だと思います。

部屋の中は清潔感があり良かったです。

게스트하우스 이지만 화장실과 욕실을 단독으로 사용하는 룸도 있어 좋아요

The hotel is close to the Ropeway and Pirate ship, as well as a mainbus station and so perfect for getting around. I had a huge room with a great view of the lake. The public bath was also great. Yes, its outdated and there's a strange smell, but dont let that put you off, you will have a great time here.

We enjoyed our stay. Quiet, quaint, simple and still room for 4 (2 parents 2 teens). It's a great location for the lake activities. A car rental is recommended.

The room is spacious. No elevator, it's can be tough to carry heavy luggage up and down. There's only public bath, no private shower. It's a quiet area, most stores and restaurants are closed after 5 pm, and before 9 am. Short distance from buses, but a bit challenging for walking with luggage, and good luck if you can find a taxi in the area.

住的是兩張單人床的房間，有廁所也有浴室，感覺是新翻修的，房間狀況維持得很不錯 價錢也很合理，唯一可惜的是沒有電梯，攜帶大型行李的要特別留意自己搬行李 服務人員很好，協助搬運行李。

Very comfortable beds, quiet rooms, easy parking.

A really nice hotel with really helpful staff. The rooms were a great size, with comfortable beds and private bathroom. For the price I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area

We didn't feel welcome at all. We arrived a little early with a little kid. Unfortunately we could not check in an hour before check in time even so the room was ready. No reason, no explanation. The hotel seems very money oriented. Everyone has to pay an extra fee for the onsen, even if you don't plan to use it. You have to pay if you want to leave your bags a couple hours after check-out.

no communication about checkin time and refusing a refund. not acceptable.

Propiedad muy lejos de la estación de autobús/teleferico, 20 minutos a pie de subida, no ofrecen transporte ida o vuelta a la estación, sin personal entre 9 de la noche y 8 de la mañana, el personal no habla ni un poco de inglés y son groseros, no resuelven dudas, las instalaciones del hotel ya están anticuadas, televisión solo con 4 canales, no hay nada que hacer en el hotel ni en sus cercanías después de las 6 de la tarde.

El personal súper amable, felicitaciones para el recepcionista ya que su inglés era excelente y fue muy fácil la comunicación

Personal at Reception Not very friendly

It's quiet new the hotel, and friendly staff (we were sorry for late because did not check the email carefully late check in is 10pm, but the staff was waiting for us). If you drive, will be a very good option to stay at this hotel, covenience for sights seeing.

The price simply isn’t worth it. There is no reason to pick this hotel over anywhere else in that area. The positive thing is the room is big (no shower). I will now list below the negative aspects of this accommodation. - Staff are non existent, there is occasionally someone at the desk but never after 9pm. They are completely useless at assisting you and are unlike any other Japanese person I have encountered. They couldn’t arrange a Taxi for us, and couldn’t answer the phone either. There is no food outside of the vending machine options which are ok. If you don’t have a car I would avoid this entire AREA of Hakone. It is very beautiful landscape but extremely hard to get too - if you are out after 6pm good luck there is nothing open in even the main area of Gora which isn’t just a small town open for the attractions this area is blackout at night. The Bus stops at around 730pm. If you miss the train or bus you are at the mercy of waiting for a taxi to maybe show up unless you have a competent hotel to organise one for you. This area seems to have infinite guest houses and hotels all with a very weird vibe seemingly run down and semi abandoned. The onsen was very average and lots of things like lights, kettles etc do not work. The way Hakone works is there is a ropeway cable car that goes up and down the mountain and ends at 5pm this is a short walk away to the bottom at Lake Ashi which is lovely in the morning and day time then you catch the cable up to.

It’s surprising to get poor service in Japan. The front desk wasn’t available and when they were there they were rude. They stated I had to pay for the Onsen even though I couldn’t attend it, then when I paid they didn’t give me back my change until I asked for it. During check out I waited for 30 minutes for them to show up and answer questions, but they didn’t show up so I just left. Definitely do not recommend.

A little far from all the attractions. Not much around. All the restaurants close by 4pm. Even the only convenience store at the station closes at 5pm. Only vending machine food are available.

Près d’un lac vu sur mont Fuji. Près du téléphérique, pass de trois jours pour les transports soit bateau,téléphérique,bus etc.. chambre grande,très confortable, onsen bain eau chaude. Quelques minutes de marche du débarcadère.

Togendai est une ville au bord du lac, mais très peu intéressant d’y demeurer puisque 1 seul restaurant le soir et très ben de chose à faire. Hesta est une vieille hébergement sans charme, bruyant. Il est à 10 minutes de la gare/bateau, avec une rue sans trottoir et plutôt dangereux le soir! Il est mieux de s’abstenir et de viser Motohakone et/ou Gora pour séjourner dans la région d’Hakone

It was good; it met expectations in that it was just a stay in Hakone. It is a shared bath, and the vending machine food isn't that great. The nearest convenience store is a 1-hour walk from the stay, and most restaurants close around 3 or 4. The bus stop is a short walk away.

This is the great hotel with bigger room than others hotels I got in Japan trip. Nice bathroom with all supplies you need. Easy to walk to Togendai station and bus station. The locals restaurant are closed around 5pm.

Hors saison (mai) le peu de restaurant ferme à 20h00. Pas de petit déjeuner servi, que des distributeurs. Personnel vraiment pas aimable, quand présent. La chambre est spacieuse.

There is not much dining options around this hotel. The counter has some snacks and instant noodles, and there are vending machines selling microwave food. Which are rather poor choices of food. My toilet also reeks of urine stench. Because the toilet is separate from the shower and there is no drainage in the toilet floor, you can’t wash the toilet and get rid of the stench. The room makes use of motion sensors for lighting in certain areas. You can brush your teeth at the sink directly behind the door, but the light will turn off around 30 seconds and you will have to activate the motion sensor again while still brushing your teeth. If the hotel can make improvement on these areas, then the stay will be more enjoyable and less stressful.

For an economy property, it was fine. A little tricky to find and no food service on property ( a 15 minute walk downhill to a lovely Japanese restaurant for dinner, but nothing opened in the area in the morning)

És un lugar tranquilo. A unos 15 minutos de una estación de bus y telesilla, y también de una atracción turística de interés. Hay tiendas, pero cuando fuimos muchas estaban cerradas. Casi no hay restaurantes alrededor, pero el hostal proporciona alternativas económicas (máquinas expendedoras).

Great location near Cable car and Ashinoko. Spacious rooms but vending machine were only food options in the hotel. Coffee making facilities in room Would be great.
