We stayed as it was quite covenient for a concert we were attending. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, on a very hot weekend. Also on returning from the concert we found the bar closed at 11pm which was not ideal

It is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff on the desk are very friendly and welcoming. All the other staff are pleasant and polite. Our only problem was that the customer lifts were very small, making it very difficult for my husband and i to fit in with his disabikity walker

Portable fan in the room was a necessity for June hot weather. Street facing room had windows that only slightly opened. Otherwise a lovely hotel with comfortable beds, clean bathroom, lovely lobby, easy and secure luggage dropoff and a beautiful restaurant with a garden.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thanks to the friendly & efficient staff. The lobby area and restaurant are clean, comfortable. spacious and modern. There was a delightful garden. Our bedroom, although comfortable and with all that we needed to hand, was tired and desperately in need of the attention that the ground floor has received. It was rather old fashioned and certainly in need of a lick of paint. We discovered that the hotel has a car park so, if we visit again, we would hope to use this.

This is a lovely Hotel, spotlessly clean and staffed with attentive,pleasant,helpful people. Nothing was a problem for any staff member we met. It is ideally located for easy access to the Underground stations of Russel Square and Holborn and is in a lovely part of London. The Hotel also has a beautiful Courtyard garden with a lovely Bar and Restaurant too!

I needed a quick and cheap overnight stay before a running event in London. The Bedford hotel, although not the cheapest, was very conveniently located. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Russell Square tube station and is surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops. I had a single room and although small (most London rooms are!), was clean and modern and everything worked fine. The check in staff were super friendly and helpful and all in all my stay was a pleasant one. Recommended.

Rooms were not very clean and the hallway reeked of an over-powerful air freshener, making it hard to breathe as we came/went from our rooms. Staff wasn’t overly friendly or helpful. I chose this place because of the hotel’s “green” policies but saw no more in action at this hotel than any other (just the decor—but how does that help save our environment?). Heat was unable to be adjusted in the room causing us to have to open the windows. No water saving practices in place. I wouldn’t stay again.

We were very happy with our stay - 5 nights March 7-12, 2025. The room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. Although we faced the street, the traffic noise didn't bother us at night. There are several hospitals nearby, so quite a few sirens. If you're noise sensitive, you might prefer a room facing the courtyard. The front desk and housekeeping staff were excellent and very attentive. However, we didn't find the same level of friendliness at the restaurant and found them a bit rude. Also, we don't recommend the breakfast buffet. For the price there are better options in the neighbourhood. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to London.

The Bedford is pretty much my go-to choice when staying in London. It’s walking distance from two underground stations which gives you quick access to most of the city. It’s surrounded by dining options ranging from budget fast food to bougie restaurants. The British Museum is a brief stroll away, and despite all that, it’s quiet. (I’ve only visited as a solo traveller, but it’s perfect for solo travellers.)

My room appeared to be recently renovated with quality materials and craftsmanship. Although it was small, I had everything I needed. I’m glad I chose the “garden view,” which faced the back side, because it was quiet and the view was quite tranquil for an urban hotel. The breakfast spread was generous, but most of the food was more highly processed than what I like to eat. The location was great for me, an easy walk to most of the places I wanted to go.

Great friendly staff. Short walk to the British Museum and it sits between two Tube stations that are a short walk away. Bus stop right across the street. We ate breakfast there every day of our stay. Very good breakfast. Plus they will make you an omelet if you ask.

Good clean hotel. However staff lacked attention to detail. Left only 1 (quarter sized) chocolate in room with 2 people staying. Had to ask for facecloths daily. Was there for 7 nights and thought they would have figured that out by the second night. Reception was helpful but couldn’t make a decision or in some cases wasn’t informed or empowered, as questions always had to refer to someone else.

Amazing stay at the Bedford. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We got upgraded on arrival and offered late check out as we’re celebrating a special occasion, and also found goodies in the bedroom. Very nice touch! Room was large and comfortable, bathroom clean and modern. Breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel was perfect! So close to everything but nice and quiet.

We were very happy with our stay at the Bedford Hotel. It's in a great location and it is well kept and looks freshly decorated. What made this a good stay was the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff. They were always extremely helpful and accommodating. We were able to store our bag for the day, even after we checked out - which was a huge, huge help to us! Overall it was a great stay and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I had a technical problem with processing an email that I needed help with, and it was nighttime. 3 of the female staff basically ignored me, it was thanks to Mr. Tarvo, who was very professional and spent an hour trying and finally succeeding at solving my problem, all while 2 of the female staff spent the same hour complaining about their job, mind you in front of me, a guest. I commend Mr. Tarvo for his commitment to his guests and above and beyond customer service. Thumbs down to the rest of the reception staff that night

Great location and price. Breakfast was very good and included in the price which was a surprise. It was only a 15min walk into the west end. We had a room at front wirh some street noise but it didnt bother us. It is London after all and we had the window open!

Excellent situation near Russell Square. The staff were helpful and friendly. We chose a room facing the garden. It was quiet and spotlessly clean. The complimentary tea bags were weak. We had to buy some. We had breakfast at café Tropea in Russell Sqare. Worth a visit. The food was amazingly good.

Enjoyed our stay at the Bedford Hotel. Excellent location very close to Russell Square Tube station. Our room was very comfortable, overlooking the gardens in the rear of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, a lot choice, with cold and hot options. Very good coffee and delicious croissants. The only issue we encountered was controlling the hot water in the shower, it tended to get very hot and needed to be mixed with a lot of cold water. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

Very nice and service minded staff. Clean and comfortable room, but old standard bathrooms. USB-C charging next to the bed was convenient. Very central location, close to British museum. Had a room facing the courtyard which was quiet. Breakfast was good but I can’t recommend the hotel restaurant otherwise, food lacking taste and overcooked, no finesse.

This is a nice option for a stay in London. Extremely central but quiet (with triple glazed windows facing the street, and a lovely garden view out back). I liked my view of the British Museum roof! The service is very good, and the breakfast is excellent. In short, highly recommended.

My husband and I loved the Bedford! Centrally located with plenty of dining options. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was right next to the gardens. Our room was ready ahead of check in time, everyone was pleasant and the room was clean. Could not ask for more. Definitely would recommend!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden view room I had was small but beautifully presented. The evening sun came flooding into the room which was lovely. I opened the windows to birdsong! It was too cold to sit outside but it looked an inviting place for a drink or coffee in warmer weather. The one downside was breakfast. I favour continental not cooked and the choice was limited and quite generic eg cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Nevertheless I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

Excellent stay, very good breakfast. Terrific location between Russell Square and Holborn tube stations and across from a bus stop for going south and a block from another for going north. All I’d change is the music at breakfast. Such a nice restaurant should play either good music or none.

A beautifully appointed Hotel....gorgeous ambience in the bar/restaurant/ breakfast area with a view of the superb garden...picture perfect and so serene .. like a warm comforting hug ✨ The staff were exceptional.. So polite , friendly and helpful.... Bedrooms spacious , clean and comfortable... Breakfast selection incredible....everything you could wish for. I do have to mention Meagan The Assistant Manager who went over and above to sort a problem out for us when we arrived ......the outcome made our stay a very positive memory so much so that The Bedford will be our go to Hotel every time we visit London ❤
