Smart Brickell Hotel

We very much enjoyed our stay in Miami and a great deal of that was down to choosing the Smart Brickell Hotel as our base. We had a Residence one bedroom plus condo which had a magnificent view of Brickell and to the southeast (great for the 4th of July fireworks). Ideal for some self catering when necessary - There's a decent coffee shop by the lobby but no hotel restaurant, though we felt no loss as there is no lack of excellent eateries within walking distance of the hotel. Public transport is good and easily walkable/accessible from the hotel. 2 good Publix supermarkets are a few minutes walk and the classy Brickell City Centre shopping mall is nearby. Great swimming pools which are good for kids. Good and discreet housekeeping, friendly and efficient reception, and a special mention to Isa at reception who was lovely. We had a great time, felt it was very good value for Miami and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return to the Smart Brickell Hotel.

Overall it was a good stay. There’s plenty of space, the balcony is nice, has modern appliances and it is great to have own laundromat with pods provided in the suite. Gym, pool, and sauna are all great. Walking distance to Publix, cafes and restaurants. The only thing I can probably say is the dirty hair dryer, when my wife tried to take it from the bag, it was sticky and has hairs and make up on it. We wiped it off but it’s just gross.

Car parking was $30 a night not the $20 the website says

Nice location. Large, modern room. Pool area was well kept. Convenient shuttle to the cruise port.

The hotel is not complete, as I stayed on the residential side, my stay was comfortable and the staff was very polite and professional. I just wish they would of advised that the hotel Is still fairly new and is still under construction. The pool was open but no bar, or any other kind of activity. It was empty. The hotel is very nice and clean overall.

Would recommend to anyone. We were three adults staying in a 1 room bedroom with a sofa bed which was already made up for us when we arrived. Fantastic kitchen facilities. Pool area is great and a great bonus. Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault it 😁

Firstly hotel is in a very safe location with good shopping on the doorstep a train station and you can walk to Bayfront Park. Room was clean and spacious and staff are friendly, courteous and professional. BUT What the listing doesn’t show is that the hotel is in the middle of a building site. Opposite the work begins at 5.30 in the morning! Consequently the rooftop terrace is closed and we were told the swimming pool was too. So that was two selling points for the hotel gone then. We also had no ice machine on our floor. There is nothing about this on the website and I just feel misled. Had we known what to expect we would not have booked here we probably should be given a part refund. It is a shame because this could be a lovely hotel when the area is devoid of construction in a few years.

We had a great experience during a family trip there. The condos come with everything, including washer and dryer. Highly recommended. The only thing that we wish was simpler was parking. We didn’t like the valley parking only option, it’s slow and creates an awkward moment because they expect a tip every time you ask them to get the car out.

They charge you for anything extra. Early check in $55 dollars

On my stay, unfortunately there was construction across the street, but that was fine. They moved me from the 2nd to 6th floor, which was excellent. My only complaint would be there was no iron in the room so I had to ask for it and the floors were beautiful, but dirty you couldn’t see it, but my feet were really black. Everything else was fine. I would stay there again.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, everyone from the front desk to the valet to housekeeping. The room was spotless. I will book there again.

the property is new but still needs work. no phone to call guest services, only has Whatsapp. Our airconditioning didnt work for most of our stay. The floors are dirty, leaving black marks when barefoot. The pool was nice though and we were able drop off bags the morning of prior to checking in.

Loud as can be. The noise from outside .. the people in the hall way. Honestly didn’t feel clean. No tv in the room also the floors were slippery kinda like gueey. Only 1 valet parking person. I just was not satisfied.

This hotel was fantastic. I hold cleanliness of a room in the highest regard and I did a white glove test to all the surfaces and to my surprise each one passed with flying colors. I didn't even take out my Clorox wipes which i usually do at all hotels, even high end ones. They held our bags so we could roam around while awaiting check in and did the same when we checked out. The front desk personnel was extremely kind and provided great service. The 2 pools were gorgeous (roof top location), but admittedly I didn't actually go in them. They had a valet but I didn't park a car. One downside is the entrance is a bit hidden, so don't panic if you pull up to the address and don't see a typical large hotel sign.

Property was in a good location. It is a fairly new property but some things are lacking. Primer on the walls not paint. Walls scratched up. In need of a good cleaning, eg, baseboards dusty and grout in shower stained and dirty looking. Nothing on the walls, no pictures etc. Only one mirror in the whole suite which is in the bathroom. No iron or ironing board. Construction in adjacent building. Price was lower than most other hotels in miami. Staff were very good, friendly and helpful.

Excellent location, room was meticulously clean, very spacious 2 bed 2 bathrooms.

Very professional and clean

The room layout is nice. I did notice hair in bathroom shower from a previous guest, which grossed me out a bit. There was no iron in the room. I called the front desk they said they would bring one up to my room they never did. The hotel itself is beautiful I enjoyed the pool and the cafe in the lobby. Also in the heart of Brickell lots of dining and shopping.

Clean!

The Good: Modern esthetics, full kitchen, good HDTV and fast Internet, Good breakfast at the Soca cafe, good-looking pool area (that we didn't have time to use), gym had free weights and cardio machines, unit was spacious and slept up to 6. The hotel was centrally located in Brickell, only a few blocks from Brickell Center and Mary Brickell Village. Destination Dispatch elevator needed no waiting. The Bad: Fewer towels than people -- we had to ask for towels. Contruction next door was noisy and annoying. Air conditioning was whimsical and almost impossible to program. Nightstand drawers were glitchy. Check-in took forever. Kitchen was sparsely supplied with silverware. The Ugly: No storage anywhere, just 4 hangers for 4 people staying for 5 nights -- had to ask for more. Single table lamp on one of the nightstands. No clocks anywhere in the unit. No room to hang wet towels. Closet doors were always in the way. No shower door or curtain. Location was really noisy -- could hear loud cars and bikes well after midnight.

Hotel room is nice bed is comfortable Area of improvement is the shower has little counterspace for personal items and also there is no shower wall for shampoo or soap Also, the TV cable box does not have regular TV channels, you require a paid subscription to log into your Netflix, prime, Disney, suggestion is before you leave, is to log out of your above subscriptions. If you’ve watched, as we noticed, the previous people were still logged into their profiles. The entrance is under construction and they appear to be putting a new addition on so the entrance to the hotel is a bit confusing to start Also, the check in time is late for 4 PM as we saw other people able to check in before 4 PM while others had to wait until 4 PM to check in. Also, there is a 120 deposit that you have to pay upon check-in but is return to you once your room is checked and no damages.

We booked here because it was close to our port and it was fairly reasonable for a 1 night stay. The rooms were very broken up, no tv in the bedroom and very bare. If this is due to a construction/renovation I feel we should have been told. If we were there for longer than 1 night we would’ve changed hotels.

Our room was great, even equipped with washer and drier. The wifi never worked, same as TV cable. We asked for support but were told that there was nothing else to be done to fix it. Besides the wifi/cable issue, the hotel crew was kind and very supportive. If for vacation, I would look to stay here again!

Spacious rooms

Way too long check in process. Difficult communicating English at times with front desk. No TV in bedroom. TV was not intuitive how to use. Good Location. Felt safe, lots of people around. Very close to restaurants and Metro Mover and other Public transportation. Clean and comfortable room. Very good included breakfast. Internet was good. Suite very sparse which is ok but did not look like the pictures on website in my opinion.

This hotel is very well located! The bedrooms are great in strucutre and size!

The front desk staff were nice, and so were the pools. The AC didn’t work for 2 nights of four. It’s clear the building was put together as cheaply as possible. In a year old building to find gaps in bathroom tiles, cheap fixtures etc is weird. Other than the AC, it was mostly fine though.

Such a reasonable price for the amount of space in the room! Loved having the full kitchen and the pool area was lovely. There is a lot of construction going on surrounding the area but the windows blocked out most of the sound.

We stayed at Smart Brickell Hotel the night before our cruise. The hotel far exceeded our expectations! The rooms were so spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed. The staff were warm, courteous and attentive. The hotel is located near several restaurants and was only a few minutes from the cruise port. We have found our permanent hotel to stay when we visit Miami. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Love this spot! It has a home like feel. Very spacious and clean. Housekeeping took 45 minutes to bring extra towels as we were only given one set on arrival. We asked at the front desk and had to request again via whatsapp. But outside of that. It was great. Will definitely stay again.

The check in at this place is very difficult, lots of burocracy. I’ve been in 5 stars hotels and never had problems checking in if it’s not your name but your husbands and both have same last name. We had a wedding to go and that was no iron in the e room. Poor communication.

We stayed here two nights each before and after a cruise. The communication was terrible. All our calls went to voicemail and were never returned. We received emails to arrange transportation online, but the broken link didn't work even after I fixed it. The Reply button in that email also failed. The transportation they ultimately arranged for us was unreasonably priced. Forget their offer and go Uber - we paid less than half for equivalent rides. That said, staff we spoke to in person were mostly, if not always, helpful and pleasant. The room we stayed in pre-cruise was large and clean but felt austere, probably because the walls were bare. Faucets weren't labeled as to hot and cold and it wasn't always easy to figure out which was which. There was a cable box but no instructions. When we finally figured it out, only a handful of local channels were available. Post-cruise we stayed in a 1-BR 15th floor condo. Same problem with calls and automated communication. I eventually found their WhatsApp and used that although I typically waited 15-30 minutes for a response. The condo was very nice, however, and had enough hung on the walls to feel cozy. We enjoyed the patio and the pool, and we were pleased with the full kitchen and washer/dryer. Internet access was excellent. Same issue with unmarked faucets as in our pre-cruise room, though. Despite the so-so experience, I'd book a room here again, but I'd be actively looking for an alternative.

The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and offered an excellent place for us to get dinner (305 Peruvian). One of the ladies names was Isa and her bright smile welcomed us at the front desk each day. The Hotel location was in easy walking distance to Brickell city center. The train station was also very close. Another item that was appreciated were the 2 pools located on the 8th floor over looking the city.

Our stay was FANTASTIC! The hotel was in pristine condition, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the amenities (pool/gym) were as advertised! Absolute great stay! Only downfall was the communication — almost non-existent prior to arriving, but once on site, they were very VERY good!

I had a very nice stay. The only negative is that I had a VERY hard time contacting the hotel over the phone!! Almost impossible!! I had a couple questions leading up to my stay and never could contact anyone. No one ever answered the phone but one time and the person was young and couldn't help me or even tried. Other than that the facility is newer, clean, in a good location, and after I got there everyone was nice. What a pleasant surprise being they don't answer the phone I didn't know what kind of place this was going to be. Definitely was nervous at first. Glad it worked out.

The receptionist was very rude and unwelcoming. She told me there was no room available even though i booked reservation on expedia and showed her proof. I expressed my thoughts about comppaining ro expedia and she non chalantly stated she didnt care, she wouldnt give me a bisiness card or a first nqme either. Her demeanor and attitude is unwelcoming and disrwspectful

First time in Miami for me and the hotel location allows to walk for 8 minutes to all the vest restaurants and bars in brickel. Very well located.

This hotel will be great once it's finished. It's very clean, the room is spacious and well equipped, and there's a nice pool. At this stage they don't have any food or drink provision at all and the outside is still something of a building site. There are lots of bars and restaurants within a 2 block walk however so the location is pretty good.

I think the room was really nice. I would've have given higher stars, but we had to use our own login information in order to watch TV. They had no restaurant inside the hotel. They were also doing construction.

We stayed at this hotel for only one night. We flew in early and were able to check into our room early for a fee of $50. The property was very clean and well maintained. There is a wonderful little coffee shop right outside the hotel which was very convenient for us. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Beautiful rooftop pool. Lovely property.

nothing close by to use for dining

The hotel doesn’t look like the pictures. I booked this hotel thinking we would have breakfast and I found out since I booked through Hotels.com it didn’t come with breakfast (even though it said breakfast was included on the description). The room was clean, but no Kleenex in the bathroom, & there was only one small trash can for the entire room. The outside noise was very noticeable & at times a bit much. I don’t know if I would go back personally, but wouldn’t rule it out.

The property is a bit hard to find, as there's no signage, and it's more condo than it is hotel. The room was very clean, but the construction in the area meant it wasn't quiet during the day, but that's not the hotel's fault. The one bedroom room we got, had a full kitchen and so it made a perfect long term rental, even though we were only there for 1 night. It's walking distance to some great shopping and food options. There's no restaurant attached to hotel, but you can walk a couple blocks and get some really good food anyway. I kind of wish we could have stayed longer, as this would have been a great place to do it at, with the 1 br and full kitchen set up.
