Property is older and shows its wear and tear. The pictures make it look nicer than it is. Pool was empty when we arrived which was a bummer for the kids. No prior notice or info on their website as to the status of their pool.

The heater was blaring all night and you couldn’t turn it off. I had the windows open and it was 40 outside and 90 in the room. Nobody answered at the front desk. I wanted to use the pool but it was under construction and I really stayed because it said swim club. There was no swimming. It was not fun at all. Plus the next day was trash because I didn’t sleep all night because of the heat.

Terrible customer service The property was already doing construction on the pool Yet only notified us that the swim portion of this "swim club" a day and a half in advance We did not have enough time to replace this hotel as we were already traveling The least off the hotel could have done was give us a partial refund Especially since it was very very hot in Big Bear during our stay All they offered was if we decided to ever come back we could get a percentage off. That doesn't help the one day we had to stay in Big Bear The positives the room is nice. The bathroom needed updating but the room was decent The negative. There's no outdoor space other than the parking lot There's no nice seating area The pool wasn't available. The jacuzzi wasn't available, so if you're not sitting in your room, there's no actual amenities or anything else to enjoy of the hotel The hallways just smelt like cat litter. I'm allergic to cats. I didn't know this ahead of time that there were cats I think the website and Expedia need to just give quest 100 accurate information so we can make a decision on where to stay

Heating was more than enough. A little loud at times. Beds were comfortable. Great location to walk to restaurants. Internal swimming pool is interesting but needs updating. The hot tub was NOT hot.

I loved the stylish, renovated room and that the hotel is within walking distance to all the restaurants. My family enjoyed swimming in the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi during winter. Free parking is good as well. Overall a great stay and won’t mind booking here again!

The hotel is within walking distance of the main part of town. Rooms are very clean and staff very friendly. The only complaint was that the spa was not hot enough and no one knew how to increase the temperature

Really enjoyed this hotel. There are no elevators and a lot of stairs to get from one side to another or to an upper floor. The room was spacious with AC and a fan!! A giant window to see trees.

The walls are paper thin so I could hear the couple next door watching something loud - there aren’t TVs in the room so I guess they brought a laptop with them or something. The shower was original to the property and the glazing was pitted and falling apart. There were spiders and mildew around the bathroom because there isn’t a vent - just the window. Everything in the room looks nice when you stand way back at the door, but when you get up close you see it’s very surface level. The people at the front desk are nice, and the property is convenient walking distance to the village, so it wasn’t terrible, it’s just the room.

Absolutely disgusting room. Filthy sheets. Dog and human hair everywhere. Dirt and toe nail clipping in sheets. No manager ever even called to address it. They moved me to a room with double/queen bed even though I selected a king originally. Awful.

The place was so filthy we left at midnight and paid for another hotel down the street that was clean. Our expectations weren’t high, we only expected clean floors and sheets and unfortunately our white stocks turned black and the sheets had stains. We tried to suck it up but ultimately we made the decision to leave for a comfortable sleep. I let hotel management know our disappointment and currently waiting for a response.

The room was super clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Especially Janeth, she answered all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend.

Beds were comfy minus the dog hair in them and little spiders all along the window sill. Room smelled bad so we had to go buy air fresheners, entire family was struggling with the odor. Empty Pepsi cans under the couch. No phone to call the front desk when we needed extra toilet paper, only provided one roll for a week stay. What if there was an emergency? Overall not my favorite place and would not stay here again, I would have gotten a refund if I could have. We also had to listen to loud dump trucks sit in idle for over an hour multiple days in a row parked in the alley next to our room both very early in the morning and the afternoon.

First the positives: staff was friendly, location was great as it’s right by the village and the location is quiet. The quirks: they have two friendly resident cats that roam the lobby and the halls. I loved that but just fyi. There is sort of a crystals vibe here with crystal lamps in the room and hallway. There was a boom box plugged in at the hallway playing until about 10 pm. There isn’t really any outdoor space attached to the building that you’d want to sit at. They had three picnic tables surrounded by odd storage of things like part of a toilet. You could see this eye sore from the room. The negative: terrible night’s sleep for all three nights. The floor boards creaked and walls are thin so you heard your neighbor’s movements and voices in rooms and hallways. Got a text that parking was free but front desk said there would be a charge for parking (in the end I was not charged). Rooms look nicer in photos than reality, with lots of polish needed throughout (broken door on cabinet that appeared to have one held a fridge but now was empty and dirty looking inside, general wear and tear like tired, stained paint in bathroom, a weird slatted radiator looking thing on the wall that looks dirty or dusty or in need of paint?, yet they had put in an updated mirror and some kitschy appliances, etc, to make it look funky modern hippy). For $200 a night I expect better, maybe the place would be good enough to get by at a lower price on the top floor.

The overall experience was ok. We went on a weekend trip to the snow and found this hotel to be a great option for its proximity to the center of town. While the room was spacious and clean, the significant noise coming from all the walls that sat adjacent to our room was insane. We could hear everything happening above us, and we mean everything! Our neighbors to right and left of the room were also an earshot away and it was so uncomfortable! If you are looking for a quiet place to lay your head after going snowboarding or a night on the town, this place is not it. What it has in aesthetic fails in privacy. I hope that they can see this review and try to find ways to reduce the noise from their rooms—there are plenty of options now! The staff were friendly and no issues, so that was a positive.

It was ok. Strange check in. No one there. Self check in. Most places will check you in if you are only 15 min early, which I was. The self check in on the web would not let me check in until exactly 4 pm. Loke others have said, paper thin walls. Someone in a near room had a dog that barked until late in the night. All in all, not a bad place. Just a little different than what I’m used to. One of the nicer inexpensive hotels around there.

Nice enough property & room. The contactless service was off-putting and, as someone with a long customer service history, disappointing. Wish that had been featured more prominently on the rez site, but I will look more closely in the future and avoid those properties. Felt like I was staying in a ghost hotel at times, but that may be related to it being low season. Also, if texts are a primary feature to communicate with staff, a response shouldn’t take 3-4 hours.

Staff was good. The stay was great and wish I would go back because of how easy and simple it was but I had issues after check out. I was charged for a deposit and random small bill. It’s been 6 weeks and have not been refunded. No one has an answer on why or when. I’ve been in contact multiple times yet have gotten my refund and it’s not a small amount either. This has ruined my experience.

No coffee cups or creamer in room, only 1 coffee pod even though there was a keurig. There was no view of the lake, I did see trash outside my window, the fridge froze our drinks. The front desk was unresponsive when the people in the room next to us were fighting, loud yelling and it sounded like someone was being thrown against the wall. They never responded to my texts or phone call and nobody was at the desk- we ended up having to call 911 I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

This was a terrible experience for my family, and I. We had next-door neighbors, being super loud, partying, cussing, and fighting out loud. My children were scared and nervous. I reported to the front desk, and nothing was done. I believe police were called and nothing was done the partying, cussing, and loud noise was throughout the whole night in which my family was unable to sleep to the staff. Please do your job, and they have not even called me back yet.

Great cozy place. I was traveling solo, and wanted quiet accommodations. There were families staying at the hotel, but the management was courteous enough to put me in a different part of the hotel. I loved the "Boutique" look. It was very comfortable, including the bed. I also like that I was in Big Bear Village. It made it easy to go out for a drink and get back home.

The hotel was a nice stay, but be aware they will nickle and dime you for everything. $60 pet fee. $56 resort fee, $17-$34 for breakfast per person. Not even the in room coffee is complimentary. Really feels like a bait and switch with the pricing. Anything positive I could say is overshadowed by the gross hidden fees.

Check-in was too late in the day 4pm. If we wanted to check-in earlier it would be an extra $50. We couldn’t use the tv. The worker tried her best to connect but she has no luck with the tv. Power shut off at 3am so we woke up with no electricity and we knew nothing about it. Food wasn’t available to us or coffee. Online it stated we had 1 free parking but when we checked in, we had to pay for parking. We will not be returning to Sierra Blue.
