When we checked in, we were greeted by the nicest young man. We enjoyed great customer service and while the motel itself is older the owners are taking great pride in updating it and keeping the maintenance in top notch! My ONLY suggestion that would improve the stay is that this hotel is pet friendly (another great perk) and the entire grass/sand area is covered in spiky briars that hurt the paws of our pets. Please consider a separate pet area that has been completely removed of them. Great stay and this will be our go to motel!

We stayed here twice because the first time was so good. The receptionist was always very friendly and professional. The free breakfast is hot food that is always stocked and is from 6:00 am to 9:00 am. There is even a laundry area for extended stay. We were in rooms 114 and 113. There was a bit of a closing problem with the bathroom door in 113. I did like how the bathrooms had pumps for the shampoo and body wash, so you could get plenty. The beds are very soft and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and included a small refrigerator and microwave. The only negative thing about the hotel itself is that it's on one side of Loop 224. The closest turnaround is Douglass, which has a terrible entrance ramp to the loop.

Before staying here, I read all the reviews. Majority of the reviews was positive and now I see why. The room was simple but the price of the room was worth it. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Well lit parking lot. Only negatives are shower water flow was poor and you can hear the traffic from your room but if you’re tired enough it won’t matter. Staff was nice and friendly. Will definitely come back again.

The room was as expected. Clean and comfortable. The property looks a little shady, but the rooms and front desk/dining area was clean and nice as well. The parking space was very limited to the amount of rooms in the front of the hotel. As a woman, traveling alone, it is inconvenient to have to park far away from the assigned room when the establishment is off a busy highway. Luckily, I found a spot in a lit area, but walking in front of men and rooms made me feel a little uneasy. Breakfast was decent, fresh and hot; coffee was great!

I enjoyed the free breakfast, with warm food like eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits. several options of toast and cereals, coffee and tea, and cold choices of orange juice, yogurt, muffins, apples, bananas, pastries or cookies. There were vending machines with snacks and drinks as well as other foods to purchase like ice cream, mini pizzas, etc. I enjoyed the clean room, the hot water with very good water pressure, the soap, shampoo, and lotion that was available. The refrigerator and microwave were handy for snacks. There was a large parking lot with plenty of free parking, a covered area with a picnic table and benches for guest's use, a very large area where sports could be played, and a room with a washer and dryer for guest's use The bed was comfortable with extra pillows. There were multiple usb outlets in the room, a desk and chair where one can eat or work, and an extra chair to relax in. There is free t.v. with 57 channels which includes sports, movies, shows, and news. There is free wifi in the reception and in the rooms.

This is my second time to stay there. The first time everything was great. This time there were some stains on almost every towel in the room and there was a stain on a pillowcase. So I'm going to stay there one more time because my daughter lives in Nacogdoches, but if there are stains on anything that time, then I won't stay there again.

They clearly tried their best to renovate. I had a very pleasant first impression. Easy parking, warm welcome, clean room. Until I settled and wanted to start the tv. That’s when I went for the remote and saw the first roaches. Killed them. Both smaller and bigger ones. Searched the room and bathroom. Didn’t find any other. Went back to the wall mounted tv, saw roaches crawling again. After a better look they probably had a place behind the plywood that was placed against the wall to mount the tv. My plans changed so I was thinking to stay another night since it actually was a good stay, but after the roaches I called it a day and went somewhere else. If they can fix the roach problem, this is a 10/10 stay. Good breakfast as well. Both hot and cold options.

The floor was dirty, the staff was nice enough, but the room had a strange smell —-a mixture of cigarette smoke and cleaner. Also, the tub had black marks on it, and the toilet was broken and had cigarette burns on it.

On my second night of staying here I woke up to roaches crawling on my legs!! There wasn't one or two, there was dozens of roaches. They were all over the bed, walls, dresser, in my luggage. EVERYWHERE!! I was offered another room... That's it... Like I would actually stay there after that! I checked out in the middle of the night and stayed in my car until I could find a room at a different hotel. In the end they only refunded me half my stay. This trip was traumatic. I'm terrified of bugs and was traveling alone. Literally worst experience of my life.

Upon checking in, the girl at the front desk was fantastic. Very friendly and got us checked in fast with no problems. When we got to the room, one of the first things we noticed was that there was not a single clock in the whole room. Nothing to tell what time it is. I realize this is not a big deal, I just wanted to mention it because I have stayed in A LOT of hotels and this is the first one I’ve ever encountered that didn’t have a clock of some kind. The bed was super comfortable and soft. The thermostat was terrible. It was inaccurate and kicked on and off when it felt like it. So all night long we would wake up either freezing or hot, no in between. Another thing I thought was strange was that there was no bar soap at all. There was a hair dryer, however not in the room, you had to go get it from the front desk. Maybe that’s a thing now, not sure. The toilet paper was like sandpaper and the towels were the same. I felt like I was taking layers of skin off when drying off from the shower.

I paid for what I received...a nice, clean room. Red Roof Inn is right on the loop around Nacogdoches--lots of loud traffic; once I had the A/C on, I could barely hear it though. No noise from rooms to the sides or above...a Great Plus! Property is very clean, but aesthetically 'bare'. NO BREAKFAST: NO COFFEE after 12pm in the lobby. Personnel were LOVELY and efficient.

Before staying here, I read all the reviews. Majority of the reviews was positive and now I see why. The room was simple but the price of the room was worth it. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Well lit parking lot. Only negatives are shower water flow was poor and you can hear the traffic from your room but if you’re tired enough it won’t matter. Staff was nice and friendly. Will definitely come back again.

Hotel location was right off of the highway. Very close to everything was very clean and nice. We love that hotel had a nice window cover so no one could see in good price for very good hotel. Definitely staying again.

The room was as expected. Clean and comfortable. The property looks a little shady, but the rooms and front desk/dining area was clean and nice as well. The parking space was very limited to the amount of rooms in the front of the hotel. As a woman, traveling alone, it is inconvenient to have to park far away from the assigned room when the establishment is off a busy highway. Luckily, I found a spot in a lit area, but walking in front of men and rooms made me feel a little uneasy. Breakfast was decent, fresh and hot; coffee was great!

This place is always great. I stay here every year when I work the Holiday event at the Expo. The staff is friendly, and even though it's near the loop, it's a quiet place. Very safe, great beds, cold a/c and hot water.

I enjoyed the free breakfast, with warm food like eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits. several options of toast and cereals, coffee and tea, and cold choices of orange juice, yogurt, muffins, apples, bananas, pastries or cookies. There were vending machines with snacks and drinks as well as other foods to purchase like ice cream, mini pizzas, etc. I enjoyed the clean room, the hot water with very good water pressure, the soap, shampoo, and lotion that was available. The refrigerator and microwave were handy for snacks. There was a large parking lot with plenty of free parking, a covered area with a picnic table and benches for guest's use, a very large area where sports could be played, and a room with a washer and dryer for guest's use The bed was comfortable with extra pillows. There were multiple usb outlets in the room, a desk and chair where one can eat or work, and an extra chair to relax in. There is free t.v. with 57 channels which includes sports, movies, shows, and news. There is free wifi in the reception and in the rooms.

AC worked well. Breakfast was basic but good and filling. The bathtub/shower had some discoloration on the caulk but it was very minor. Water pressure and temp was excellent. Bed was clean and comfortable.
