Love this hotel. What a great find. Staff were amazing. Place was very happening on Saturday night. Walked to restaurant nearby. Great town.

Very charming, well maintained independent hotel. Interesting history behind the name and the property. Downtown is within walking distance. Plenty of charm in the hotel and the town.

Had a very nice stay. Everything met my expectations from the high reviews. Will stay again on my next visit to Nacogdoches.

Maid svc only by request; did not respond to our request; sliding closet door must be moved side to side to allow access to closet, or refrigerator / safe / coffee maker side of enclosure; door does not slide freely and must be wrestled to access the two halves of the space, creating potential for personal injury; only one chair in room for double occupancy; room small and cramped; valuables safe had dead batteries, would not lock / unlock; access to shower faucet restricted by fixed plexiglass barrier making adjustment of water temp difficult before entering shower; shelf projects over lavatory, impedes lavatory use; baseboards have peeling plaster finish; several members of our group had difficulty with online reservations, at least one encountered a scam in the process; after I paid my charges in full the main component of the charges remain on my credit card and have been disputed. This is a convention hotel not configured or optimized for overnight / multi-day guest services and not worth the cost.
