There was a $24/person “resort fee”. This is not a resort property. When I asked what it was for, they said 2 bottles of water, security, and WiFi. Those are expected amenities. Their Direct TV did not carry, ABC, NBC or CBS, local channels. They said they were working on it.

Overall the stay was ok. Our room did have a musky smell and the AC stayed on was some what noisy. The pool area with the terraces and seating is wonderful. The gym facilities is also great. The check in floor is lovely as well.

Used toiletries empty toiletries in bathroom, asked for new ones and was told they didnt have any. Toilet had a turd in it not fully flushed. Used the shower and brown water came out of shower. Pillows were dirty and smelled of body odor. Trying to get help was pretty much impossible. For the price of the room youd think it would have been a better stay. Stay clear of this olace.

Stayed here in the past and it was a great stay however this time we had a bad experience. There was something all over the walls of our shower not sure what but it looked like someone had an accident, and whatever it was looked like it was on one of the pillows. Needless to say we were a little grossed out by the uncleanliness of this room.

My first room had a pubic hair on the toilet seat so I switched rooms. The second room was missing a shower curtain liner, the tub constantly leaked, there were ants everywhere, pillow case was dirty, just overall not good housekeeping. I will never stay again! Way too overpriced for the quality.

The room smelled horrible. One of the pillows had a shoe mark on it like someone stepped on it. When in laid down on my bed the smell of the room was worse. Eventually my daughter and I smelled all the pillows and about 3 of them smelled like urine and body order. We threw them on the floor and although the smell wasn’t as strong, I was was disgusted laying there. We had to get to bed in order to be up early and check out otherwise I would have asked for another room.

Everything was beautiful EXCEPT the noise. Very loud. There was street racing happening outside the hotel early in the morning, then as guests were leaving in the morning the doors slammed so easily and rattled our doors. Quick overnight on our way from Texas to home in California. Beautiful hotel with large rooms and a bed that was spectacularly comfortable. Super soft and support at the same time. Close drive to incredible New Mexican food (Si Senor) and great coffee in the AM (Milagro).

This hotel was so old and outdated. It was definitely dirty. It’s expensive and they want it to appear nice and fancy and it may have back in the 1800’s. I do not recommend if you want to sleep comfortably during your stay. The beds are made for people under 5 ft. And when we arrived the front desk girl had no customer service skills and was extremely rude and unhelpful. She canceled our room without our knowledge and we had to start from square one. I would not recommend anyone stay here if he want a good experience and a nice stay. Save yourself and stay anywhere else!

I love how Hotel Encanto reflects New Mexico culture, and looks so elegant but feels homey at the same time. It’s clean and beautiful, thanks to the hard-working housekeeping staff. Front desk personnel were also wonderful, especially Carlos who greeted us on our arrival close to midnight. He was very accommodating and friendly. We had an enchanting stay!

At check-in, the receptionist was so busy checking her phone that she told us/wrote the wrong room number on the key card envelope, which necessitated a trip back to reception after trying to enter someone elses room. A bunch of kids were screaming and yelling in the corridors in the middle of the night that woke us up. Seems they also destroyed a flower arrangement in the elevator lobby. There was only 1 coffee cup in the room and it wasn’t clean (pretty disgusting). Guy at reception didn’t seem overly bothered and pointed me at the paper cups at the end of the reception desk. Sorry to say I won’t be returning here.

Upon returning to our room after being out all day we found that the room had not been serviced. The bed was not made, used towels still lying in the tub. I called the front desk to ask for service to the room and was told that the hotel does not provide daily room service, this was not explained on check in. The staff said they would service the room if we requested. I requested service and after 90 minutes no service was provided. We heard someone yelling in the hall. When I opened the door I found several house keeping staff yelling at one another in their attempt to clean other rooms. I asked the housekeeping staff to please try to keep their voices down and requested they clean my room at their first opportunity. They cleaned the room within a hour. On the first night of my stay the UNM football team were guests of the hotel. The players in the room next to us created a lot of noise jumping on the floor, opening and closing drawers and playing a video game until 11 pm. On the second night of our stay a private party was booked in the hotel’s event room. The music was so loud it caused a vibrating in our room. You could literally feel the bass. After complaining to front desk staff we were told the event would end at midnight and there was nothing they could do about the excessive music other than apologize and comp a breakfast the next day. The tub spicket constantly leaked and the towel rack was grossly rusted. I would not stay at this hotel ever again.

This is a beautiful property with beautiful grounds and lobby. The staff was lovely and the room was very comfortable. There is shopping and dining all around. It's very convenient and there are beautiful views of the mountains in any direction.

After a long drive from Dallas Tx we were very pleased with the hotel atmosphere and our room was delightful. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable to sleep in. We had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious.

The property was gorgeous, but I was pretty frustrated at the lack of advertised amenities. The dinner restaurant was closed, and the snack shop was also closed, due to Easter. I had not planned on needing a hotel room, so I booked last minute. I had my dog, and did not realize the pet fee is $75, plus there was a $25 amenities fee that I did not know about beforehand. My thermostat was not working well, and maintenance ended up having to change out the filter. All in all, I spent $250 and I did not feel it was worth it.

The first thing I want to say is that this is a very nice property overall. The theme of las cruces (the crosses) is well represented, if that’s your thing. The outside pool area is very beautiful and well appointed. A lot of chairs, cabanas, umbrellas, and trees, I was there early and two maintenance people were very thoroughly cleaning the area. I also saw several maintenance workers inside cleaning the expansive lobby area. Having said that there are signs of age such as broken shades and pealing paint.

When I booked the hotel, the receip from Hotels.com only shows total of $171.74. When I checked out the hotel, the staff charged another $27.10 (Plus tax) on top of the total $171.74. The staff told me that the additional amount is for amenities. The hotel is self service which mean that every guest has to take your luagge to the room yourself, only two small bottle (10oz) water and four pack of ready coffee. My question are: - I never see that charge on the total amount on the receipt. - What kind of amenities that allow the hotel charge another $27.10. Hotels.com never put that amount on my receipt. The hotel cheats customers by letting us know when we checked out. Total fraud to me. I have been travel in 40 years both business and personal and never see the addition charges till check out time.
