The whole experience was amazing! We are really happy to have had stay at Nyx. The place was clean, the workers very attentive and nice. The activity coordinators were sooooo incredible! They have activities for everyone and very often. They start with bracelet making, then aquatonics, mixology class, water volleyball, Maya show, and just to name a few. Everyday they have have like 7 activities. The rooms are okay, a little old but spacious and clean.

Nice hotel but poorly run. Front desk was helpful. Especially David. Beach bartenders were friendly and attentive. The food was ok at best. Buffet food was cold and stale. We got food poisoning one night after eating at the Italian restaurant. There was construction that started halfway through our stay that was so loud you couldn’t hear the ocean on the beach. We were not alerted that construction was happening or that the beach bar and Unami would be closed. Having read reviews before coming, we double checked with the staff what days Unami would be open. We were planning to eat sushi on our last night but could not do to the construction. The beach also was covered in seaweed. The hotel did a good job of raking the sand in the morning but by 2 pm the sand was covered in seaweed which smelled terrible. I recommend looking up the hotel on Google Maps to see the amount of seaweed that washed ashore. There was even more seaweed in the water. The hotel dress code was also poorly managed. We packed based on the dress codes mentioned on the hotel website. The hotel did not mention that the buffet, deck restaurant, and lobby bar also had a dress code. We were asked to leave at the breakfast buffet for wearing workout clothes when there is no dress code on the website and other people in the restaurant were wearing workout clothes and swimsuits with shear/see through coverups. At the formal restaurants people were seated with workout clothes as well. Would not stay again.
