Grand Park Royal Cancun - All Inclusive

el area de la alberca estaba en construccion...aunque la alberca nos dijeron que ya estaba lista, habia todavia unos 100m2 entre la alberca y la playa con mallas de protección en la que se podia ver que estaba en construcción con decenas de trabajadores y con maquinas moviendose sobre la playa e incluso dentro de la propiedad. Nos hubiera gustado que nos dijeran que un area tan importante como la playa y la alberca estaba en plena construcción.

It’s my third year of visiting Cancun and the best hotel I’ve seen. Great gym, sauna, clean room and assorted food, happy that there was an European food like. I loved that there is pool and beach side for adults only. I loved the little cafeteria with coffee and ice cream available for all day. Special thanks to Ganzalo our servant who was the best and most helpful person

Everything was great. Only thing we’d hope for is the pool to open longer than 8pm.

Great property, great location, great service. We were here for 4 days. - Airport transfer: They provide free airport shuttle only if you book directly through them for 4 nights. Since we booked through expedia, we had to make own arrangements. - Rooms: We booked king ocean view room. It was large, well-equipped. We got one on ground floor, but I'm assuming the higher floor ones would have better ocean view. They clean & stock up the room everyday. You get additional 1 room service request for free/day. But we didn't need it. - Food: There are 4 restaurants. Food is good/mediocre. Some items are a hit & miss. We liked the italian place best. Except for Hibachi, restrnts don't need reservations. Service was quick & good, except for the asian place (slow service). You will always have something to eat (even outside of lunch/dinner hours) since there was a pool side snack corner serving burgers, a cafe serving coffee, fruits and desserts all day. - Amenities: There were 2 huge pools. Pool towels always available that you could take to the beach. There were multiple activities everyday (Foam party, beach volleyball, music). Each pool had swim up bar with great quick service. They will make drinks the way you want them. The staff always kept area clean, also waited on us while we were inside pool. Nobody pressurized us for tips!! - There was a bus-stop right outside the hotel. Direct beach access. Enough beach chairs. You could book activities with AquaWorld from inside hotel.

Did not revive any information prior to stay that pool was under construction. Smaller pool was crowded. Not given any VIP upgrades for Expedia status.

I hand a wonderful stay. The only downfall was were we not aware that construction on one of the pools were underway. But the resort did have another pool (smaller) & beach access so it worked out.

Property is undergoing major renovations. One tower is fully gutted/being rebuilt; and the entire main pool complex is not usable either. Adult pool is open for everyone. That being said, the premium tower we stayed in had amazing beach front views, and was far enough from the construction that it wasn’t super intrusive. The resort has wonderful staff and service. Our VIP butler Yajahira was fabulous—booking restaurants and beach cabanas for us and helping plan excursions. Food is average for an all inclusive; the buffet was hit or miss, but we really enjoyed the Italian and Asian themed restaurants. Would probably stay here again once the construction is finished.

Fantastic place for a vacation; family, friends or romantic partners. There are three restaurants to choose from plus the buffet. Food is good. Two pools one for families a one for adults. Both very nice plenty of activities and entertainment.

The main pool was closed for remodeling with nonstop noise from construction crew yet no compensation was offered. The hotel is very outdated and the food is not great. The concierge tried to trick me into believing we would get a certificate for free future stay for the inconvenience when really it was to try to to get me to go to the breakfast to listen to the timeshare spill. I did not accept therefore the certificate was not honored even though she said it was for “the inconvenience”.

Great size resort for walkability. Staff and service was great. Not very many dining options but Oriental and Italian restaurants were terrific. Pools are too cold and the hot tub was barely warm. Ocean is often too rough for swimming here. If you just want to relax, eat and imbibe, this is your resort

This should not be classified as a luxury hotel. It was very basic. Buffet food awful. Never hot. Saw cockroach wandering amongst the food (see attached picture) Staff (with the exception of reservations/front desk) were friendly and helpful. Front desk rude and disrespectful I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Very overpriced for what you get Nightly entertainment was a joke

Clean room

Overall this resort is wonderful. The beach and pool areas are kept very clean and there are plenty of loungers around so no need to reserve early. The towel service was lovely. I was able each day to get as many towels as I wanted and refresh them throughout the day. There are 2 places to swap towels and I found that convenient. The hotel and restaurants are maintained meticulously well with a cleaning standard that I appreciate. Cleaning service included daytime cleaning as well as evening tidy up and turn down service. Butler service was top notch. Jessica went out of her way to explain every day what the activities were around the hotel for day time and evening time and arranging anything we needed. The food is spectacular, especially enjoyed the hibachi and the menu at Koi )the Japanese specialty restaurant). Amazing food. Top shelf liquor available on request. Few things to note : our air conditioning didn’t work throughout our stay. We called for maintenance twice and although the service men said they fixed it they did not actually fix it. We slept with our patio open instead (6the floor) Hotel is currently under renovation, People to note: Fermin (sp.) the breakfast chef Yolanda, Erika, Hector 1 were excellent beach and pool side servers. Top notch. Hector 2, and Carlos are beach bar chefs and were lovely and jovial. Angel at the lobby bar will make you any kind of fancy drink you can find off google. Excellent bar chef.

I never go to this property again I go to the room. It was not clean.

We visit Cancun every year for my husband’s birthday and this was our first time staying at this hotel. We had an ocean view room and it was amazingly beautiful. The cleanliness of this hotel amazed me. The staff continuously cleaned all hours of the day. Our particular room was cleaned in the morning and again in the evening when we went down for dinner. That was quite the surprise for us. Room service was excellent as we had a wonderful breakfast in our suite before starting our day. We booked a tour with the concierge staff on property and it was absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a clean, safe, and quiet place to relax. It was great and we plan to revisit in the future.

The property has beautiful grounds. Our room was spacious. Every area was well maintained and so clean! Staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was great! The beach was wide and the water was beautiful. My husband and I had a wonderful time here. I hope to return.

Very clean

Property is okay, just not luxury (at least not yet). Start off with negatives: 1) The property is undergoing construction, which was not disclosed on the website. So there was noise and not all amenities were open (hot tub, a main bar, etc). However, the new rooms should look really nice, so definitely worth waiting until construction is done to get the best experience. 2) Rooms were great, but no slippers or bathrobe was provided (even after we booked a spa treatment, we couldn't borrow the bathrobes for our stay). 3) The single-pane windows allow a lot of noise to come through the room. With the wind, it feels like we're inside a wind tunnel. 4) Mini fridge was refilled once during our entire week stay. When I called the front desk for service, they said to use the App to order it there. 5) The App itself. No one told us about the App or the code to log into it. You need it to book room service. Concierge was more concerned about the high-pressure sales pitch rather than the comfort of our stay. 6) Beach had no bar or food that can be brought when using cabana. Poor staff has to walk over to the adult pool in order to get drinks there and bring it down to you at the beach. Not a dealbreaker, but the service was slow. Now the good: 1) Property is centrally located in the heart of Cancun hotel zone, so easy to get to/from the airport. 2) The staff was great, especially Yolanda, who served us food/drinks at the beach when she was supposed to only serve drinks.

Clean rooms and amazing service:) overall 10/10

The staff are friendly. The beach is amazing. We like Italian and Mexican restaurants. The only thing is the room. The room is clean but needs renovation. There is a wooden door between us and neighbors. We can hear kids yelling at midnight and a couple having sex for another two nights. It’s rather embarrassing to stay in the room with teens.

Enjoy the staff service however the Wi-Fi in our room never worked. Informed reception but was told to call technician who was unable to fix it. Then they offered to move us room which we did not take since it was already halfway through our stay.

Beautiful hotel, great pool and restaurants but they put my room right next to one of the restaurants and the constant noise in the early morning was annoying

The property was beautiful. The service was excellent. The room had issues. Coffee maker had to be replaced. Certain outlets did not work. Sliding door to the balcony was falling apart. A/C only cold down to a certain degree and was uncomfortable during certain times of the day. There are 5 restaurants on the premises and they were ok. None were outstanding. The pools were clean and fun but got crowded cause the beaches were unswimable cause of the amount of sea weed. Over all, I give the and A for the beauty of the property, D for the room, A for the staff getting things right, C for the food. We will be trying a different venue next trip. But thank you for this experience

Room was great and just like the pictures we had the grand master villa on the oceanfront. Food was fantastic all the staff were amazing and friendly. We had a butler for the week it comes with the villas . Her name was Jessica she was amazing. We had a group of 10 people down there. She reserved our bali beds and made all of our dinner reservations, sent us the daily schedule with her recommendations and was available for anything else we needed. If you can please request her, she was amazing. She organized our transport as well. Big shout out to Jessica she really did everything she could to make it our dream vacation. The beach was second to none. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation in a smaller resort . This is the place for you. Everything is nicely spread out for a smaller resort and not overcrowded

We stayed in Room Master Suite - the room was very old and needs some renovation and upgrading. Food was ok but they needs some more restaurants. Best food at the flor the sal. Italian restaurant was really bad. The location is the best, just wonderful and beach is awesome.

Insulation in the elevators was horrible. Very hot. AC in the room were mid at best Other than that, I would return

Super large openings around door so you can hear everything. I could hear people’s thoughts in the room next to me. Heard someone past gas by the door and laugh. Had large ants crawling in bathroom often so treated them like my pets. Second day there sewage was backed up (neither me nor my partner took any dumbs at that time). Had room with swim up pool and pool was ice cold at all times. Only really good food that I had was at steakhouse (which you pay for). Phone was never fixed in room. Staff was lovely enjoyed that you didn’t have people trying to get you to buy something at all times. Does have quick access to beach. Everytime I tried to connect phone to tv I could hear it connecting to neighbors room. Back to the food, I got food poisoning from a burger (which are just sitting out in open so guess that’s my fault for even trying it) so I was out for a whole day. The cafe spot when you enter is good. So overall worse place I’ve stayed of all the places in that area. Staff is what makes me give 2 stars I Wouldn’t recommend.

Very friendly staff. Very clean hotel with good food options. Bar staff is very attentive. Beach is well manicured, raked every morning. Plenty of beach seating during our stay. Will definitely come back.

The staff is the best part of the stay. Hostesses Manuela, Diana, Alejandra, and Maria José make you feel at home. The waiters are so attentive, José, José, Ivan, and Erika. In Café Sol, Edgar is the best! The entertainment staff are superb: Dario, Leonardo, Ramon, Miguel, Kimberly, and Christina! We have been coming to this resort since 2015 and will continue to do so as long as the caring staff remains.

I don’t like that the staff was trying to sell room upgrades and time share telling us the room was not ready when it was . Constantly asking to go to time share events each time you walk in the main lobby

4 Stars - Stunning, Nature-Filled Grounds and Wonderful Staff, But the Room and Food Fell Short I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars, and it’s just barely. I almost went with 3 because of a few issues that affected day-to-day comfort, but the strengths here are real. The Grounds (the standout) Let me correct something clearly: the outdoor grounds are impeccable. Honestly, they’re the most beautiful I’ve seen in the Hotel Zone, and they convey real nature in a way most properties simply do not. The landscaping feels intentional, lush, and thoughtfully maintained. Walking the property is genuinely enjoyable, and if you’re someone who loves being surrounded by greenery and a “tropical” vibe that feels authentic, this place nails it. Service (another major strength) The staff are the other reason this review stays at 4 stars. Across roles, the people working here were polite, considerate, and dedicated. Even when something missed the mark, the tone was still respectful and kind.

This is our 3rd time visiting this property! The staff is absolutely the best! Very friendly, helpful and always smiling and willing to assist. Furthermore our butler Jessica is so amazing and has been great every time we visit! She is very knowledgeable of the property and helped us with booking restaurants, cabanas, and anything else we need she would be able to assist! Also, Marie Josè works for the excursions and events part of the resort. She helped us book some excursions on several occasions. She’s very nice, knowledgeable of the different things you can do in Cancun! Definitely recommend her when staying there! The only thing this time that was a bummer was the construction on the pool. 😞 We wished it would have already been finished but we understand resorts have to make renovations so we didn’t let it prevent us from having a great time. The other pool on the resort was open and is nice also. This place is great and we will be back again in the future. As someone who has been here 3x I highly recommend this resort!

The concierge is not-so-cleverly disguised. They are more recruiters for Time Share/Club Members than anything else... I found this to be a huge turn off. Before you get to go to your room (after) a long day of travel, the hotel will very deviously set you up with one of these concierge types, they'll take you on a tour of the grounds (why?) and arrange for you to attend a presentation. Other than that, the resort is well kept, clean, and comfortable. Serving staff in the a la carte's is exceptional! Maid staff - also exceptional! Massive beach area! Pool serving staff excellent (Erika)! They do offer golf cart rides for those with mobility issues - be warned: this resort is spread out with a couple inclines and you're walking on stone paths, but easy figure out the lay of the land. I'd say overall, slightly above average - with a few quirks. The Italian restaurant has great service, atmosphere, and salad bar, but the main courses are 6.5/10 at best.

Check-In Quick process (about 15 min) in a spacious lobby with seating. No welcome drink offered. We inquired about reserving a Bali bed ($400 p/d), and that it would be best to upgrade to The Royal for $500 extra for our full stay. Isaias was polite, but our room keys didn’t work, so we had to return to the front desk. Membership Sales Avoid the timeshare tour! They promise 90 minutes, but we were stuck for nearly 2.5 hours and passed through 7 different people. After repeatedly saying no, we had to walk out. Pushy and unprofessional—do yourself a favor and skip it. Butler Service Jessica was amazing! Although we weren’t contacted on time, once we met her, she provided 5-star service—great communication via WhatsApp, handled all our dinner reservations, and reserved our Bali bed daily. She truly elevated our experience. Restaurants • La Veranda: Great buffet, Fermin on the grill was fantastic. • Flor de Sal: Friendly staff, but food took 30+ mins. Great cappuccinos. • Koi: Fun hibachi experience, food was okay but not hot. • Café Solé: Great spot for ice cream, pastries, and light bites. Adult Pool Bar Belmai, Fanny, and Santiago gave us exceptional service by the premier pool. Very attentive and friendly! Beach Seaweed was heavy in July—beach closed 4 out of 5 days. Luckily, the water cleared on our last day and we enjoyed it with a Bali bed. Check-Out Seamless! Jessica arranged luggage pick-up and our taxi. We relaxed at La Veranda and Cassis Bar until departure.

Expedia booked the trip and when I went to resort they extorted me for additional money said Expedia gave them wrong info. To me this is an Expedia and grand royal problem. They followed me around the resort; all staff knew about the problem and then locked me out of my room. Lidia the manager was rude. If you can have Expedia contact me to resolve this that would be great. Lidia was unprofessional and rude. Rolling her eyes at me.

Ok property, food was fine, tons of helpful staff however not at the front desk. Took forever to check in and check out.

Staff was excellent!

I really liked that there was a bus stop right outside the hotel. You can pay $1 to get you to any destination on the hotel strip. The hotel staff was so nice and the hotel itself was clean. They were doing construction while we were there which was a bummer, but I do know once that is complete the hotel will be beautiful. It’s walkable to the beach and you can use the beach cabanas!

This property was filled with lush greenery and beautiful landscaping among the large pools that caught the vast ocean views. We loved the cleanliness and coziness of the hotel and patios and rooms. They were stunning to stay in! We loved the staff who were attentive, kind and very helpful. The ocean views and beach property was the best I have seen yet! You don't want to miss out! Go to Grand Park Royal because you will be back! Guaranteed!

Very convenient location walking distance to entertainment and shopping areas. Clean and beautiful views excellent service, stuff are very nice.

The stay was great and very clean pools ... Bar staff was great!! All around great place to stay in Cancun!! It seemed located in the middle of the strip easy to go explore!!

Clean, good staff, good food

Nice property the only problem was do not trust the filter water dispensers. We only ate at the property restaurants and drank the filter dispenser water and were sick 2 days. Be safe and don't ruin your vacation. Buy bottled water.

Better food options at the buffet

I absolutely loved the room and the food in the all inclusive hotel. The employees were kind. With that said there is room for improvement. Apparently when I booked it was some VIP package. When you hear that you think it is going to be something special, but it is not. Everyone is given a bracelet, and different colors mean different things. Having the VIP bracelet essentially makes you a target for pressured sales, it started from the moment we arrived to our last day. After a long trip to get there the last thing you want is to be told your room isn’t ready and get a tour of the resort with all your luggage in tow only to be sat down with someone trying to sell you a time share. You want to go to your room and decompress. We never got to eat at any of the restaurants where you have to make reservations, because we were told conflicting things: it was included in the VIP package and then it wasn’t, so we just decided we wouldn’t go because who wants a surprise bill if they decided it wasn’t included. When things went wrong, like when a storm came and dirtied the plunge pool I had to request it to be cleaned three times before it was done, and that was pretty typical, needing to ask a few times. The butler was great. He arranged a taxi for our trip to an excursion and arranged for it to pick us up upon finishing our excursion. The taxi driver conveniently didn’t show up after, the butler took care of it. Not sure what was supposed to be included because not told

Dining options terrible. They should have better options. Paying 60 usd for 5 shrimps is unacceptable.

Staff was good and tried to help, but they didn’t have our room ready for the first night. Some of the concierge were pushy to sell their services. Food was above expectations. To be honest we had to eat out few times because the restaurant offered the same menu every night. Buffet had more options but the smell of grise was terrible

I give Grand Park Royal Cancun 3 stars overall. The property itself is nice, the service staff was excellent, and the location is great, but our experience had some major drawbacks. Check-in and check-out were both incredibly frustrating, taking over 30 minutes each time, which really put a damper on arrival and departure days. For an all-inclusive resort, the food was less than subpar. The variety and quality didn’t meet expectations, all the meals felt underwhelming. On top of that, the initial and repeated approach by the timeshare sales representatives was overwhelming and intrusive making it difficult to relax which significantly impacted the overall quality of our stay.

Loved the swim out room. Having a butler was great. Bed was super comfy and the bath towels were nice and luxurious. Not a lot of activities and the food wasn’t great. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The food was delicious the whole staff were extremely polite and wonderful

The Italian restaurant was great. The Mexican restaurant was also great. The buffet restaurant didn’t have enough variety of choices and the food was disappointing. The adult pool was really nice and relaxing. The bartenders made great drinks at the adult pool but if you’re looking to get a drink served to you poolside, the servers were courteous but didn’t come around too often
