Lovely hotel, food and location. However, the main reason we booked this hotel is because we have an electric car and we needed to charge it overnight. There are only 2 chargers at the hotel and neither were working. When I rang the hotel for assistance they were unhelpful, advising me that the chargers had nothing to do with the hotel. As a result the following day I had to waste time finding a charger and wait for the car to be charged.

The hotel was lovely unfortunately parts of Nottingham suffered like so many cities with homeless people. Being in a city there is no outdoor space or views to speak of but very nice hotel and staff were good. Parking on site was an asset although at £18 per night a little expensive. Our standard room was adequate and the bed was large and comfortable. Would have preferreed a freestanding shower but they do state whn booking all showers are over the bath. The toilet handle was loose and required regrouting but otherwis the stay was very enjoyable.

This is my family’s favourite hotel so far in the UK. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Staff are nice and receptive. Swimming pool area is really nice as well though there’s tume restriction for kids.

The bar, restaurant and foyer have a very classy feel and the service from all the staff was fantastic. Breakfast was really good with plenty of hot and cold choices and the chef available at the hot counter to cook eggs how you like them is nice extra. The rooms are tired and do not match the luxury of the downstairs of the hotel. The complimentary drinks tray was not next to a plug socket which meant you had to move it to use it, the only socket it can reach was on bedside table - this felt a bit hazardous?! We booked a premium room would have expected robes & slippers for the price and star rating but none provided. The only difference to a standard room seems to be a slight difference in the size with a more than slight difference in price. The pool area is a bonus but if you booked here for a spa break you would be disappointed (thankfully not the reason for our booking!) only 2 loungers, the hot tub was set way to hot to even get in (unusual for a hotel spa I know!!) and it just all looked a bit tired / blank on decor touches. Great location for exploring city centre.

The room wasnt cleaned properly. The sink is still dirty. We left the used towels in the bath for changing still left there when we get back. No new towels were provided. Tissues were empty the maid dont change it , called reception to ask for a box to be replaced said we will get it sorted for u but never get it sorted. The only thing that is good about the hotel is the location and lovely pool for the kids. The showers at the pool were all broken , some doesnt work some that work doesnt have hot water. All in all its very convenient location

I found the room service food undercooked, pizza still a bit doughy and the squid batter gooey on the inside, the oil tasted old, the room itself was tired, dodgy loo handle, dirty and worn hatches in the ceiling, not enough room on the floor for your suitcase, couple of stains on bedding with a white flannel lodged between the mattress protector and bottom sheet, the housekeeping isnt great. Waited 1 hour for a taxi, james was happy to leave me waiting ouside with no update until i went back in and out. Was told my room was ready by james, only to go up and it wasnt cleaned. i eventually got a different room which had been kind of cleaned. Marias and james's answer to everything is to try to give you free drink tickets, no warm welcome with greeting on arrival by reception but Zyla was approachable and helpful. I didnt have a great stay at this hotel, I would say the best thing about this hotel is Marco Pierre Whites Steakhouse Grill and casino is opposite.

A comfortable stay. Some minor cleanliness issues in the room. Communal bar area is nice. Had a great visit to the gym and pool. Hotel quite noisy at night - we were woken at 2am by loud guests returning to their rooms. Good location for Rock City, Theatre and city shops.

The central location of the hotel is perfect. Easy to find, but the car park is a nightmare, spaces are way too small. Check in excellent but there is a very nasty smell in the lobby, which they were aware of. Room was good quites small but ok for our 2 night stay. Whilst the room was cleaned, the table wasnt it was very dusty on arrival and stayed the same throughout our stay. Also coffee cups not cleaned or changed. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the bar area was good, it was suprisingly busy late on. Drinks were expensive! Overall pretty good city center hotel and we would go back again.

Large and clean room. Helpful staff members at reception when we had queries. Breakfast varied and good, plus friendly staff. Worked really well with parking with hotel discount. Didn’t use spa facilities. Will choose again if ever in Nottingham.

Stayed for 2 night's in your hotel. Very helpful receptionist (Gemma) who helped with an extra lamp for the as it was a little dark. Also a fan due to my husbad been very warm. Nothing was to much trouble and all with a smile. The room was very clean and plenty of clean towels and toiletries. Tea/coffee making equipment was lovely. Small fridge with x2 bottles of water. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety to suit all. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. The rooms and elevators were old and dank. The toilet didn’t flush well and there was no space in the room to store belongings except for a very very narrow closet. If two people stayed in this room I can’t even imagine where they would put their things without tripping over everything.

The hotel is well placed for spending time in Nottingham and easy to reach on foot from most locations. Its car park is safe and secure too. All the staff were excellent, friendly and professional, where nothing was too much trouble. The only minor negative is that some fixtures and fittings are quite tired and a full refurbishment of the bedrooms must soon be on the cards to bring the hotel up to date.

Great location. Clean room, quiet, except sometimes the air conditioning was noisy. We were there when the weather was beautiful and we could not get fresh air - no windows opened. Good fitness room. Many places in the lobby to gather. One block from Royale Theatre tram stop - very convenient. Within walking distance of the Castle.

The view was awful The tv wasn’t a smart tv The WiFi wouldn’t work well And whatever block was around the hotel we couldn’t even use our phones properly or as the tv was not smart we couldn’t even access our own phones to watch anything. I needed to work from my phone and I couldn’t access anything. Really made the stay not very good

This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in, anywhere in the world, of any class of hotel, that has no drawers or storage shelves in the whole room, nor space to storage an open suitcase on the floor. It was necessary therefore to store clothes on the windowsill and hang coats and dresses from the shower screen as there was no where to store clothes. As we were staying for 3 nights and attending a wedding this was particularly annoying. After complaining we were told “ if you don’t want the room we can refund you and you can go elsewhere!!!” I have heard such poor and disgusting customer service. As we had arrangements made and were in an unfamiliar city this was a totally impractical solution. (We we could have upgraded at £70 / night!) This is the Crown Plaza, not the the inn at Bethlehem - I don’t expect to be thrown out on the street, without a room because I criticise the size of a room! These room are totally not fit for purpose, as a standard double - they should be marketed as small rooms or it should be explained that they have zero storage and are only suitable for people without luggage!

The public areas of this hotel are lovely, a very high standard. But alas that’s where it ends, once you get to your room you’ll find it extremely small. The bathroom is so small my husband had his knees pressed against the wall when on the toilet and found it difficult to wipe because of the enclosed on three side nature of the toilet. For some reason I didn’t sleep at all well, pillows were uncomfortable but I could put my finger on exactly why. Breakfast was very nice, tasty and a plentiful buffet. It was reassuring that they take food allergies seriously, but having someone follow you through the breakfast buffet writing down everything you’re picking up on a food allergy registration card is somewhat unnerving and demeaning. I really recommend changing this as it’s not a pleasant experience and anyone who has a food allergy will know how to be careful in line with their own needs. All in all the hotel is okay but it’s certainly not cheap and given the size and standard of the room I wouldn’t say it’s worth the cost.

Nice hotel, Staff etc..as before.... but..... We always book similar adjoining/neighbouring rooms where available, if unavailable, a response would have been appreciated. Our messages appear to have been ignored and, on arrival, we found that one of the two booked Premium King Rooms had been changed to a twin on a different floor to accommodate an unrelated corporate group booking. We had received a stock response offering us an upgrade offer to "Premium" rooms that we had already booked (?) so on this occasion, the personal service experienced before was sadly lacking as well as getting the feeling of being Guests who can be shoved aside to make way for a more important booking..We won:t be returning, and I do believe that they would not really care about this.

Be advised, check in was over 40 mins late as room was not ready! This resulted in us being late getting to an arranged party. The tables at the bar had food from previous people on them which wasn’t the best. Apart from that it was fine.

I had emailed twice (no response) and called ahead requesting an early check in. I spoke to someone who said I could have one for an additional £30. When we arrived this was not in the system so we had to downgrade the room (I wasn’t charged for the upgrade). Not the end of the world but poor service. When we went to our room I noticed that there was only one set of towels (there were 2 of us). I asked one of the maids working on the floor to put another set in the room but when I came to have a shower in the morning, realised that she hadn’t. When we checked out we were directed by the receptionist to the lift to the carpark - when we got to it, it was out of service and we had to walk up 6 flights with all our bags. If we’d been warned in advance we could have collected the luggage once we had picked up the car. None of these things are huge deals but the overall impression of the service and hotel was that staff were a bit slapdash and not committed to good customer service. The bed was comfortable and the receptionist who checked us in was friendly.

The hotel is well placed for spending time in Nottingham and easy to reach on foot from most locations. Its car park is safe and secure too. All the staff were excellent, friendly and professional, where nothing was too much trouble. The only minor negative is that some fixtures and fittings are quite tired and a full refurbishment of the bedrooms must soon be on the cards to bring the hotel up to date.

Great location. Clean room, quiet, except sometimes the air conditioning was noisy. We were there when the weather was beautiful and we could not get fresh air - no windows opened. Good fitness room. Many places in the lobby to gather. One block from Royale Theatre tram stop - very convenient. Within walking distance of the Castle.

It is at the heart of the city centre. The room was decent, breakfast was fabulous, staff was friendly. The only drawback is our room faces a club across the street which was very loud all night long. Not so good if you want a good night sleep.

The only complaint I have about my stay is the noise late at night / early morning coming from the night club across the road from my room. Double glazing is definitely needed as the noise went on for hours after I'd gone to bed. Couldn't sleep!

Hotel was great, staff were amazing, room was immaculate and comfortable however, both nights I stayed (Tuesday Wednesday) I was woken up by the rock venue behind the hotel. Music was way too loud and even with the tv on to try and drown it out I couldn’t sleep. Such a shame as this will definitely affect me returning to this hotel.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Theatre Royal and Concert Hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable but took over the room. The bathroom in room 731 smelt damp. Seal to shower screen was suspect allowing water to spill over. Breakfast was good quality and lots of choice.

I found the room service food undercooked, pizza still a bit doughy and the squid batter gooey on the inside, the oil tasted old, the room itself was tired, dodgy loo handle, dirty and worn hatches in the ceiling, not enough room on the floor for your suitcase, couple of stains on bedding with a white flannel lodged between the mattress protector and bottom sheet, the housekeeping isnt great. Waited 1 hour for a taxi, james was happy to leave me waiting ouside with no update until i went back in and out. Was told my room was ready by james, only to go up and it wasnt cleaned. i eventually got a different room which had been kind of cleaned. Marias and james's answer to everything is to try to give you free drink tickets, no warm welcome with greeting on arrival by reception but Zyla was approachable and helpful. I didnt have a great stay at this hotel, I would say the best thing about this hotel is Marco Pierre Whites Steakhouse Grill and casino is opposite.

Very efficient reception and lovely architecture in the common use areas. The spa was nice and the gym well equipped. The room was clean but on the small side and the mattress far too hard and uncomfortable. No robes or slippers in the room which would have been useful for the spa. Breakfast had a varied selection. Unfortunately, although the chef appeared from the kitchen when asked to make omelettes, the pan had been left on the heat so the area smelt of burning oil, and the omelette was burnt immediate on the outside whilst being unedibly undercooked on the inside.

My room was spacious and clean. I had a very large comfortable bed. There was good air-conditioning. The breakfast was excellent. There was a very good choice. It was slightly noisy Saturday night but this didn't last long. I had dinner in the hotel one evening. The food was good. The price of the food was what as to be expected for today's prices so not really expensive. Would definitely stay again.

Location, the Hotel itself, Check-in and Staff were excellent as before. However, the Air Conditioning was inoperative in both of the rooms bookedon the first of two nights and the Staff were unable to offer a change/upgrade due to the Hotel being full. The Staff members went full out to rectify this early the next morning and even part refunded the first night'stay. Things may go wrong rarely but the Hotel Staff did do their utmost to.put it right so I will further recommend this Hotel as well as the excellent facilities enjoyed on previous stays. That being said, We can be assured of being looked after by the Staff Members. Thank You all, We hope to see you again, soon.

Terribly hot room with AC which did not work, it was more like a heater as the room was warmer than outside. Very helpful staff at reception when we arrived, pleasant and courteous, but on departure, we had an awful experience with a rude and unpleasant man who made our not very nice stay even worse.
