Hilton Nottingham

Great location right in the center. Older building but modern updates. Air conditioning worked well in the room. Staff was fabulous. Pool area not very clean and quite busy.

Hotel is completely fine and what you would expect for an established Hilton. There was only one lift working, of which we were told was brand new, but it was incredibly slow. Some tired elements in room, but was all clean and in working order.

Lovely staff. Room on the small side even though we were upgraded. Nice that the hotel has a swimming pool and spa. I had an amazing massage treatment by Claire. Felt great after. Overall lovely experience.

Was decent enough. Hotel is well situated. Everything in walking distance. Hotel is a bit tired. Hilton need to whack a few quid in. Rooms are ok. Strangely our room didn’t have any drawers or a cupboard so lots of clothes end up lying around …. Bathroom was nice and clean and a good enough size. Pool / gym area is very nice and comfy. Breakfast is good. Bit light on the pastry selection though. Bar area is dry. No atmosphere. It’s kind not f hidden away and has no appeal to sit and have a drink. I’d stay here again for convenience and location but not for more than a night or two.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Service was great. The spa facilities were lovely. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Will definitely be using again.

I am the sort of person who regularly frequents other chain hotels, in particular, the usually cheaper purple one. I must say i think hilton will he a top choice for me in the future. For a very similar price to my usual option, EVERYTHING was so much better. Room was cleaner, facilities weee so much better and thank goodness for air con. The area gets a little noisy on a night time, the parking was a bit difficult to find, but staff were helpful in guiding me there on the phone. Breakfast was nice, the gym was good, the walls in the pool could perhaps do with a clean, but other than that, i cant fault it. Will definitely be staying again!

Convenient location, and comfortable room. The spa and pool however was a let down. Beautiful pictures online however it's part of a commercial non-hotel guest gym / health club so very busy and not in great condition.

The hotel is ok and the breakfast is good however the swimming pool/spa area was extremely disappointing. The pool was really dirty and the public area/changing rooms very old and badly kept. Also to note that the pool and the gym are open to the general public

Hotel is located in an old converted building. Room assigned was very small and cramped. Restaurant was good but dinner menu was limited and not very imaginative. Pool, gym and leisure facilities are excellent.

Had an issue with the wet room bathroom. After a shower water had not gone down the drain but pools of water were left at the exit making it dangerous to walk on. Cleaned as much I could with a towel and reported it to reception. The said it would be remedied but when we got back later the towel was still on the floor soaking wet and no one to speak to as it was now later. Also decided to have a drink in the bar before bed only to find no lemon for our gins and tonics. This is not what I would expect from a top hotel like the Hilton. At this time I would not return

The room was smaller than I expected and did not have a sitting area. I should have paid more attention when booking. However the room was sparkling clean. One sore bit was that one of the 2 available elevators was out of service which made things inconvenient at times.

Hotel was very welcoming, staff very friendly. Room itself was very clean, bathroom lovely. The only downside of the room was that it was a bit on the small side with the bed in a very compact space so I bumped the wall when getting up in the dark during the night. We are used to a king size bed and this was definitely smaller, however it was comfy. The view was of some flats opposite but that didnt really make a difference as we were not in the room other than to sleep. I think we were in a deluxe double room as we had been offered an upgrade on line and we didn’t hear any noise from other guests other than the floor boards occasionally creaking above us. As it was my husband’s birthday, a little cake had been left for him with Happy Birthday written on the plate, which was a lovely touch. We parked on the car park opposite which was easy to get to and had a discounted price if you had your ticket validated at the hotel. I would stay here again if the price was competitive with other hotels in Nottingham, but my husband may be more hesitant due to the bed being on the smaller side.

Very basic hotel which was quite surprising for a Hilton. The water in the shower was blocked so it was coming over the edge.

Overall my daughter and I enjoyed our stay and the hotel was located perfectly to get to the shops and for dining out locally. The swimming pool facilities were good and the room was lovely. The only negative point would be one of the towels we had was very badly marked with brown stains, but it didn’t ruin our stay!

Hotel was fine for a night or two. Room was tiny and bathroom smelt musty

Cobwebs all around the floor lamp. Bedside lampshade was broken. Bed was very uncomfortable - could feel springs. Water pressure in shower very poor.

We stayed there two nights, cleaner did not clean the room next day and night. we back to hotel 10pm, no cleaning service done although cleaning service was displayed on the door. Finally, reception provided few towels for next day morning shower.

The bed wasn’t comfortable, the cleaning was the best, and the safe was too low to use, not very practical.

First of all the good. 1. The location is excellent. It’s probably the best located hotel in Nottingham. 2. The health club is good despite it not having a proper hot tub. The gym part is really well equipped with, what looks like, recently replaced equipment. 3. The housekeeping staff are some of the most friendly and helpful I’ve come across. They genuinely care if you are having the best stay. 4. Arriving at 3pm on a Friday we were offered cheap upgrades to rooms that were much more comfortable. Now what is not so good. 1. The age of the building means that the general room size is incredibly small, especially now some of the rooms have larger beds. We were offered an upgrade which we declined but quickly changed our minds. 2. This was ok and the upgrade was welcome but this lead to an uncomfortable checkout. We were offered the upgrade for £20 but on checkout were told it was £20 per night. When we protested we were told it would have been made clear. When we protested further we were told they would knock £10 off the two night upgrade. We again protested and were then given the upgrade for the agreed price. Even then we had to check that the hotel would refund the £10 from the £30 deposit taken. As of today I have yet to get the money back despite receiving a receipt showing this. 3. The whole hotel is finding it difficult with only the one, very cramped and slow, lift. On one occasion (we were on the 5th floor) I waited almost 3-4 mins for the lift. Wh

Rooms are tiny- even though we had a deluxe room- manouvering atoubd the bed was a challenge!

Had room 523 unfortunately could hear the motor from the lift all night long, if you are a light sleeper it is not the room for you.

Very noisy room, could hear the neighbouring room, we were there with children and a lot of swearing from next door. Had 2 doubles in the room but didn’t expect to find them touching, side by side.

Room a way too small, noisy, fan in bathroom not working

The hotel is very conveniently located in the center of town. The room was small, but ok. Unfortunately the bed was not so comfy and I was sleeping on a rather steep incline all night (towards the center of the bed at least). Also, the bed had been very hastily made, bottom sheet not tucked in, so I had to remake it myself. This is an older building so no soundproofing and we were woken up twice by very drunk people outside our room (we were at the very end of the building so I feel sorry for anyone staying in the middle of a corridor... The staff were lovely. Breakfast was good.

When they say compact double they mean it . Smallest room we have ever stayed in for the money .

The room was extremely small for the price paid. There was very little room for two people and no storage for bags/clothes etc.

Overall I was just not satisfied with the size of the room. I know I bought a queen size room it felt especially tiny in comparison to other rooms that are similar prices. Additionally the room smell very wet and the window looked upon just the hallway. All of the amenities worked and the bathroom was clean. Having stayed in several Hilton hotel as I expected more

I paid for a double room with two king size beds. I got a room with one king size bed. They got me a small room with two single beds and a tv, that doesn’t work and I was offered, two drink for free at the bar plus a late checkout. I was very disappointed with this out come. I requested another room. All I got was, it’s a Saturday and have no other rooms. I did book this hotel in advanced. The Hilton hotel as I no it to be is a luxury place to stay but not in this case.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Steve the porter who helped us with our luggage was friendly, personable & kind. Check in staff were great, the free prosecco was a really nice touch. Our room was clean and comfortable and location was perfect.

The hotel, room and food were very good - no complaints here. However the check in was awful. Apparently we had no reservation despite having a welcome email from the Hotel with confirmation of our booking. We had to wait a good 40 minutes at the reception desk whilst various phone calls were made to sort things out. There appeared to have been a breakdown in communication with Hotels. Com and the Hilton. However we were made to feel this was our problem and it was uncomfortable and embarrassing having this played out in earshot of other customers arriving to check in . We were also informed that because they eventually found us a room someone else would now not get one! They did give us a bottle of Prosecco at the end of the debacle- I needed it to calm my nerves. Feedback - please do not make paying customers feel like they are to blame for this situation and don’t leave them standing at the check in desk whilst you try to rectify your mistakes

Apart from check in which was an utter joke - huge queues, room not ready etc - the rest of it was fine. It’s an exactly what it says on the tin type of stay. You not what you’re getting, it does the job. There are no frills, it is not bespoke, but everything is solid. The product has been honed over many years to provide a stay that lacks any identity but just about hits the mark - from the room to the breakfast!

Had an issue with noise and vibrations room 606 on sixth flour proberbly air con unit on roof ,the manager resolved the issue quickly and with great professionalism, moving us to a new room.

Right in the centre of Nottingham, perfect for shops, the arena and the castle. Welcome was exceptional including an unexpected glass of Prosecco!

We had a really lovely stay, the staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived back late and Mum fancied a hot chocolate, they made her one with fresh hot milk, even though the cafe/bar was closed. The breakfast was really fresh and tasty and I had a great swim too. Definitely recommended.

I made a reservation instead of my friend. He changed his plan and we changed his reservation (dates) via expedia staff but we learned that Expedia forgot to notify the hotel of the new reservation. Despite this, the hotel staff was very helpfull

Stayed at the Hilton Nottingham, had checked out but asked if we could come back and change after my daughter's graduation. Manager was very unhelpful, sent us to the gym facilities which stank! Manager needs to get additional training in dealing with customer service complaints!

Close to everything in the city. 12 minute walk to motor point arena. Modern , clean and very comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Can’t get to the hotel by car and it wasn’t simple to find the multi-storey car park nearby. Very short walk though once you do find it. Lovely hotel, but Nottingham centre in that location was a bit scruffy and there were a lot of beggars, and people quite obviously in drugs. A bit unfair to have it impact on the otherwise excellent hotel, but some folks might be put off.

Ideal location for where we needed to be. Plenty of places to eat within a five minute walk. About 15 mins from the train station also ideal.

Nottingham Hilton was perfectly placed for shops bars etc .parked onsite for £40 x 2 nights .room was modern but not that big in fairness .bed was fine and breakfast choices very good .only minor gripe was the shower which did not have much oooomph sadly .all in all a decent stay and would return

Good central location close to shopping, pubs and venues. Taxi rank right outside. Very limited parking, but discount available at nearby multi story car park. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very clean and well furbished throughout hotel. Leisure centre very good.
