Lovely stay. Nice hotel and great location. Disappointed that I didn’t spot I’d have to park in a public car park so that added £17 onto my stay. I must have missed it in the small print?

Lovely hotel. Modern. lovely decor. Staff friendly. Fantastic shower and water pressure. Bed was comfy. Room was spacious. Exceeded expectations. Great location .Close to bars and restaurants. Tram is handy too. Excellent hotel. Would highly recommend. Lovely tea and coffee making facilities. Only feedback would be that there is no free parking and the suggested car park at Lace Market was £34 for 2 nights. Perhaps a deal can be cut with the car park for a discount for hotel guests.

The hotel was excellent, however the promise of reduced parking was not fulfilled, their excuse being that the car park have put their prices up so the hotel wouldn't be giving a reduced rate. We had driven round to find the said car park for absolutely no reason. The hotel had even emailed me the day before our stay with the cat park details!!!!!

Great mid week stay over at this hotel for business purposes. Modern, clean and tidy. Well appointed bathroom, comfy bed and a good range of high end options on the complimentary drink tray. Good location to walk into the city. No carpark itself, but there is a multistorey 5 mins walk down the road.

Lovely period hotel in the historic centre of Nottingham beside picturesque St Marys church. 3 min walk to Motorpoint Arena. Cosy bar attached to the hotel with seating inside modern. Lovely breakast, reasonably priced. Staff were helpful & friendly. My only gripe would be the carpets need changing. They're dirty & discoloured. There is a musty smell particularly in the public areas. I would however strongly recommend this hotel.

This is a nice, quirky little hotel. The staff were good and everything was clean and neat. The only things that let it down for me were the following: • the lift is tiny, slow, and not always functioning and for the floor I was on, I couldn’t take the main staircase, I had to have a staff member grant me access to another one via the pub next door (same business). • I was in a single occupancy room which was fine, but the bed was very short - I’m 6"3 and my feet hung off the end. • the shower was near impossible to gauge the temperature of, it was either red hot or freezing. • the room itself was quite stuffy and the window did not open. I was provided with a fan, which was fine, but not a fan less than 3ft from the bed blowing cold air at you isn’t the same as fresh air. For the price the hotel charged I would’ve expected a little bit better overall.

A lovely hotel located in the busy area of the lace market. A warm welcome was given upon my arrival with a swift check-in. My room was located on floor 3 with the lift only going to floor 2, so one set of stairs to negotiate, however, once my luggage was in this wasn't an issue. My room was very clean and comfortable, I was appreciative of the fan in the room as the weather was really hot, during my stay. Breakfast was superb, one of the best i have had for a long time, all served with a smile :-)

Central ish location but in a quieter area of City, sadly a stench of Canibas around. Tap is too low with high plug stopper making it almost impossible to use. Room needs deep clean as stale cigarette smoke lingers. ONe of lamps nearly dropped off wall. Wifi is terrible. Bed is comfy and big, air con works well but would have been nice to have windows that open for fresh air perhaps the smokers at pub below is why they don't.

we spent two nights in room 1 and found it incredibly noisy. It only has single glazed windows despite being about three feet from a cobbled road. It is also directly across from reception and conversations could be heard at all times. Two nights with poor sleep didn’t make for a good experience.

Attractive historic building, friendly reception, comfortable bed with unusually good pillows. My room was on the ground floor near the stairs into the pub which was noisy at night until about midnight. The bed was cosy with a Welsh blanket and cushions but room decor otherwise a little stark.

The room was quite old and dated. The shower was very good and powerful. The window shades were scruffy. The room was quiet, which was a huge plus. Breakfast was really delicious and plentiful; it was served by an incredibly friendly and accommodating gentleman.

Room was nice, staff were ok, but it was horrendously noisy. The room was on the ground floor next to the cobbled street & the hotel entrance so every vehicle that passed was heard & every person who passed was heard. I could also hear everyone in the lobby. I was pretty stunned to see that there were only wooden, single glazed windows & there was no hot water in the morning & for which the receptionist did not apologise. I know it's impossible to get a corporation to apologise for getting something wrong these days, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I wouldn't even have mentioned it had I received an apology. As far as I'm concerned 'sorry about that' should have been the first words out of the receptionist's mouth.

Friendly reception. Clean comfortable room which had been thoughtfully designed to consider the space available and to cater for a traveller’s needs. Personally not keen on the ‘mini bar’ concept: I wonder if this could be an optional addition to the room - with the question asked at point of sale or at check-in. Area/location felt safe and was well-lit, including nearby multi-storey car park - even at 11pm. (Lone female traveller). Would definitely recommend.

We arrived at about 1.30 pm. Our room was ready and we asked if we could check in as we had to change for a Graduation ceremony at 3.00. We were told that we could but there would be a fee of £15 to do this even though the room wasn’t being cleaned early at our request. Never encountered this before in a hotel and this wasn’t made clear on booking. We were told that we could change in the toilets if we didn’t want to pay. The toilets were small and cramped. The floor was wet and the hand dryer didn’t work. Altogether very unpleasant. The dog charge for the room is £25 per night. This is steep. Of course I expect to pay a dog supplement but this is usually £10 or £15 a night. I felt that the hotel was trying to increase its room rate margins by stealth in the “extras” - when I complained about the cynical £15 early check in charge I was told that this was a new policy. The room was OK except one curtain blind was permanently shut - no method of opening it- and the window behind it was broken. When we returned to our room late in the evening I looked for details of the WiFi code. It wasn’t on the Guest Information card and so I went to phone Reception to ask. There was no phone in the room. I telephoned reception using an outside line. I was told that telephones had recently been removed from all rooms. I explained that the Guest Info card in several places instructed guests to phone Reception for information and he said “Oh I thought those had been removed” Underwhelming

Great location in the city centre. Room was like a sauna though. Check in staff were great and helpful. Charged a late fee for checking out (40 minutes late). Would have appreciated a call to the room if it was enough of an issue to charge for. Receptionist said they tried to call - not really sure what that means. Wouldn’t go back again purely based on a £15 over charge. Good way to start loosing business quickly.

Lovely room in a historic building! Close to restaurants, shopping and the arena. Front desk staff Maddie and Lolita were absolutely first rate with service and suggestions of where to go etc. Breakfast in the adjoining pub was also excellent!

Great hotel. But if I have an 11 o’clock checkout, I’d rather your rather “chatty” housekeeping staff would turn it down a bit from 9 o’clock. It’s a weekend and some of us need our beauty sleep more than others 😀😀

Room fantastic and reception staff brilliant. Breakfast was an absolute farce. Service incredibly slow. No bread, no plates, no butter, coffee machines out of order and no alternative offered. Order taken for breakfast along with other guests and other orders taken after ours. Waited 40minutes and didn’t receive our breakfast. Rude staff basically saying that they are busy and there were only two of them???

I got some excellent customer service from the night front desk clerk on staff the evening we stayed there. He went out of his way to help me straighten out train travel I booked that had incorrect information. He was diligent and got my travels in order. Very Impressed with his customer service. Staying in hotels can be made or messed by the people you interact with. The frostiness of the receptionist was fortunately balanced and thawed by the warmth of the breakfast host. Hats off to him, though I wouldn’t return to be greeted by her again. Also, my basement room was boiling, and too hot. Great breakfast, and nice overall hotel just more attention to hire the right staff for right jobs.

Great location-within the city centre, just 5 minute walk from the rail station and yards from the Arena but still on a quiet road. Room was small but all that you need for a short stay. Clean with decent bed and shower. It is integral to a pub where breakfast is served however we didn’t eat there as felt £18 extra was not good value. Plenty of cafes,restaurants,pubs on the doorstep.

Great mid week stay over at this hotel for business purposes. Modern, clean and tidy. Well appointed bathroom, comfy bed and a good range of high end options on the complimentary drink tray. The hotel was lovely and in a great Location. The room was spacious and was very clean & comfortable and the Lace Market was an excellent location. The room however was very hot and the air-con position being behind a curtain made it hard to cool down in the evening. We waited almost an hour for our breakfast, but they were busy and when it arrived it was good - but I wished we had gone to a local cafe instead. The staff were apologetic and friendly (but I still got charged!). I would stay again and would still recommend. Maybe they were just having an off day.

We stayed in a luxury studio suite for 1 night at a rate of £210 without breakfast included. Staff were friendly and advised that there were limited Gluten Free options for breakfast so decided to look elsewhere. The hotel itself is nice, with maybe decor updates require in places. On initial entrance to the room it looked nice, a decent size with a nice position for the bed. A gift of prosecco was left for us in the mini bar which was a nice touch. However, the airconditioning was quite poor and very loud in the room. So loud that it disturbed our sleep so had to turn it off - which then meant that we woke with the room being too hot and had to turn the aircon on again. Room was located quite close to the lift and so heard when it was in use in the morning, along with people in the corridors. Whilst there, building works were taking place directly opposite our room and so we were woken by scaffolding early on a Saturday morning which we didnt want when we had a morning without kids. Room seemed a little run down in places and elements need a little attention to detail. (I.e glass window was broken, TV was abit small, aircon needs to be better, In comparison to other 'suites' we have stayed in, it was ok... i would probably save my money in the future as i dont think it hit the price-tag it was valued at for a single night without breakfast. I wouldnt say it was 3x better than Premier Inn (which was £69 for the night).

Lift was a bonus as room on 3rd floor and steep narrow staircase. Breakfast was in the adjoining bar, slow service, was ok for us however did see a number of guests leaving as they had not received cooked breakfast. Maybe when hotel is busy offer a reduced hot buffet style as you are asked on check in re breakfast.

Amazing location and nice and quiet rooms. Felt a little dated inside but comfortable. The corridors smelt a bit musty but the rooms were fine. The bathroom felt quite premium and up to date and the staff on the front desk were welcoming and helpful. No aircon but a desk fan was provided and the ceiling fan seemed to help too on a hot day.
