Ok, so it’s what it says on the tin… and that may be enough for some people. But honestly I have had more comfortable nights in a premier inn. If you want to stay at a community gym with some hotel rooms popped on the top, fill your boots. The only think that came to my mind when I entered reception was when was Mr Brittas going to appear! I get it the hotel choose to subsidise their hotel revenue by letting in the masses from the local community! Well I don’t want to fight my way through waves of sweaty locals to get to my guess room!

Good stay at this hotel for a weekend visit to Nottingham, good reception, pleasant staff, hotel clean and everything from our room was in working order with a comfy bed. Bar and eating area good no issues. Cleaning/room staff working non stop was evident all weekend. Gym/pool used and had no issues at £5 each which seemed fair value for two nights. Big issue for me was parking, for some obscure reason weekend parking is free until 3pm on a Sunday, then its a five pound charge, this is baffling and staff couldn't really understand why. The room decoration does take a while to get used to but no doubt some designers great idea.

The hotel is ideally suited woth shops and eateries arond and close to nittingham and derby. Thats it as you walk in all you can smell is beer from the bar, the carpets were filthy the corridor to our room had a pen lid on the floor foe 4 days and it never moved so the corridor was not cleaned. The room was dusty and cobwebs. The carpet was filthy. The kettle was covered in smears i asked for a clean one the replacement was just as bad. Nit worth the money and bery dirty

Room did not get cleaned once on stay despite asking cleaners and putting the ‘clean me’ sign on the door. Only thing they did was empty bins. No fresh towels. Beds never made. The rooms are red hot. We were supplied with a fan but the remote for it was missing. Asked at receptions and they side there was nothing they could do. Same with TV remote. Battery’s were flat and they said there’s nothing they could do to fix. Bathroom had mould on ceiling as the extractor fan is badly positioned meaning it remains steamy.

Property was very clean and the facilities were excellent although pool can become very busy at weekends. Room was very clean although the plug sockets failed to charge my phone. I believe this was part of a new build upgrade but clearly the electrics have not been completed correctly and hardly work. The biggest issue with this hotel is the signage. It is a complete misleading mess. A rectangular building should not be difficult to navigate but this particular hotel fails at every hurdle. A lift that goes down to actually suggest you are on a higher floor?? I have seen many things in my time abroad but in the UK? hard to believe!! On asking other guests about this they all concurred with the above opinion including multiple staff members who I have no intention of naming. Aside from the signage, the staff were amazing and could not do enough to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I cannot thank them enough for their constant directions to and from my room. Special shout out to Lottie in the bar who has the kindest heart and a fantastic smile x I actually would return to the hotel but please sort the misleading inaccurate signage out prior. Jason - Room difficult to locate!

Had a club room. Room was tired. Lamps hard to adjust and one collapsed. Heater very outdated. Shower head was blocked. No where for suitcase. Bedroom Mirror difficult to see as poor lighting. Bathroom mirror was no good for shaving as too far away. Food and service was great. Bar staff excellent.

Stayed at this hotel for business many times - unfortunately I was given a room on the first floor above the gym. The room was very stuffy due to the time of year so windows open, at 5am the loud thumping bass from the gym sound system woke me up and even with the windows closed it was impossible to ignore. This meant I was tired going to work a physical job all day and I was offered a free coffee as way of apology from the staff. Not acceptable to put rooms in the vicinity of that amount of noise at an unreasonable time. I will consider my stay here during my next business trip because of this

Lovely clean rooms and easy check in/out. We got the conjoined rooms we requested on booking without any issue. I hadn’t realised there’s a daily charge for the car park, but it’s capped so not too expensive. Note there are no plug sockets on the side of the room by the beds, so unless you have a really long charging cable, you won’t be able to reach your phone! It was unfortunate the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night during our stay and communication from hotel staff at the time was lacking, but we felt safe and were only outside for about 10-15mins.

Rooms were not ready when we arrived well after check in time. Rooms basic, dark and very few sockets. Light coming in from under the main hotel room door and too noisy due to large gap under door. Ordered a six seater taxi via reception to leave for a wedding venue and only a four seater turned up. Two of the wedding guests had to wait and pay again for another taxi. Not enough staff for how busy the hotel was. For the price we paid, we didn’t expect to get a Premier Inn stay!

No phone, no phone wall plug charger. Extremely noisy occupants above, no redress but was told they were checking out. Very friendly staff, bar area clean, good tv. The food I had was very pleasant. Nearby Marks good for necessaries. Cheap & for a reason ( not central) but lots of hot water, clean, comfortable bed. Nearby train line might be an issue for some. Close to the M1

Hotel has everything you need on site and there is a retail park with a McDonald’s opposite as well. Free parking on weekends, excellent breakfast which we booked in advance. Pool and spa facilities are good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

The hotel is in a good location, and is lovely and clean. It’s extremely overpriced for what you get though. I haven’t stayed for 5 years in a village and I remember why. Nothing has improved in terms of the hotels or their service. I was astounded after paying £160 for one night that I was charged further to use the gym too. The spa area made up somewhat for the overall experience but I won’t be staying again.

Generally very good - had a nice feel to it, and staff were excellent. Would be happy to stay there again. Main reason for only 4 stars was the lack of air con in the room - don't expect that in a 'proper' hotel. Just a radiator with a simple thermostat on the wall, and opening windows (which you don't always get with air con). Wasn't a big problem given it was winter, although room was too hot when we arrived - thermostat had been set to over 25. Other minor issue was breakfast - not bad, but cereals were basic with no fruit options (or porridge, unless I missed it), and the only egg choice was scrambled that had been sitting there for a while. And weirdly massive mushrooms - one would have been way too much for me; a few normal size ones would have been nice. Only stayed one night, didn't use the gym/pool/etc.

Great hotel and very comfortable. My only negative was that my shower was broken. They have modernised various elements of the hotel such as no phone in the room and if you need to contact reception to go on a web chat style system. This didn't work for me as when I originally went on to report the shower fault there was no option for this on the drop down automated box. After ten mins of trying I gave up and had to have a shower with it faulty. I mentioned it in the morning upon check out but that's that... I couldn't go down to reception at the time of fault. The toilet seat also didn't work properly. Facilities great, very good vending machines and the hotel food was really really good, slightly pricy but well worth it. Great location with plenty of shops nearby and complex. Room was clean. Plenty of car parking

If you like football/rugby played very loudly at all hours on huge televisions, through speakers everywhere, irrespective of people actually interested or not, in the restaurant and any relaxing area then this is for you

Very comfy bed and all staff were absolutely lovely! Pool facilities were excellent. The restaurant food was good portions and quality. The only downside was with noise as our room shared a door with the next room, and the rooms were not very sound proof so we could hear the neighbours talking very loudly, walking around/using the bathroom. Luckily they only stayed one night though! Plus was awoken by small children sprinting anf shouting up and down the hallways, that were clearly left unattended by their parents. This was not the hotels fault, although the rooms may benefit from some soundproof doors 😂
