Great place, shame its on a main roundabout however nice open area/park behind. (Good for dog walkers) Food options for evening meals, if you want, are very limited. Parking confusing as parking also accommodates for the park and non hotel users. I was charged twice. Needs to be more clear ( use the machine in the hotel reception when arrive). Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty to do, however driving or taxis are a must.

Stayed three nights. Only ate dinner on the first night which wasn’t very good. Room was fine and clean. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast at weekend (half term) was chaotic with lots of items running out and taking ages to be replaced. Car parking charge unclear. Supposed to be £5 per 24 hours but turned out to be any part of a day therefore charged £20 for 3 nights ( two whole days and two part days) 63 hours in total not more than 72.

We were very impressed with the size of our room and the quality of all the furnishings. The bathroom was immaculate and the whole experience exceeded our expectations considering the price we paid, excellent value for money !

The hotel needs a bit of a freshen up. There was a very bad smell in the main corridors which instantly caught our attention. The cleanliness of the room also wasn’t great. There were stains all over the carpet and the flooring in bathroom. Upon lifting the toilet seat, there was also a lovely gift on the seat (a hair) which was concerning, it looked like the seat hadn’t been cleaned. The room was very spacious and had a lot of floor space, yet the bed was pushed right next to the window. There was very minimal space to get into bed and could feel a draft from the window. It also meant I felt like my head was laying on the table next to the bed at points. Breakfast was also poor. The coffee machine was broken the second morning of our stay. Let’s just say I wouldn’t rush back!

Cleanliness wasn’t the best marks on bed linen, sofa bed stained, carpets grubby, lights in room very dull, musty smell especially in halls/landing. Staff were helpful/friendly free breakfast wasn’t bad, wouldn’t say worst I’ve stayed in but given choice I wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel certainly needs some TLC and unfortunately some of the staff need to attend customer service refresher training. Having to now pay for car parking adds to the cost of staying here, and the number of rats running around outside at dusk and early morning is quite disturbing. But that is what happens when bins are left overflowing and not emptied on a regular basis. Despite reception knowing the room next door to me had flooded, nothing was mentioned about it until I informed reception that there was also water in my room. Although due to check out the following day, I was not offered an alternative room and had to spend the night with the smell of wet carpet. Would I stay here again, after doing so for the last few years, I have to say, it’s extremely doubtful.

The hotel room it is good enough and big but unfortunately no any cupboard for the clothes and also the restaurant is very poor in the breakfast and most of the time some food is not enough for the people and all the time for the four days something missing . it should be the breakfast better than this. some people that don’t eat sausage or pork I have to be something else for this people.

Hotel generally clean and well set out. The biggest problem was the double sofa bed, the springs were practically coming through the mattress, very uncomfortable stay indeed with the children.

The hotel itself is adequate, fairly modern and updated in places, but also a little tired in others. unfortunately the room I had was let down by a very poor shower, a light trickle of water could describe it at best, along with a loose handle grip! two things are upmost in a hotel room, the bed and a good shower. I wasn't that impressed with the hallway and stairs which looked like they hadn't seen a vacuum in weeks.

The room was a good size with a nice bathroom. We did not like the connecting door as we could hear the next door occupants and the noise from the road was so bad that we thought the window was open. Certainly more needs to be done to insulate noise pollution in the rooms facing the exceedingly busy road outside. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and the shower good. Breakfast was also very good.

Location wise this hotel is great, we had an early ferry departure to France & the hotel is less than 10 minutes drive to the port. However, our night’s sleep was poor because the mattress was severely sunken in the middle; it should have been replaced sometime ago.

Good stay, but mattress was so soft that it might as well not have been there. Unable to turn the heating down below 18C or turn the aircon on, so we left it turned off which made the room rather stuffy. Still a good venue and good location for those travelling to events at Goodwood.

Unfortunately there was a staff shortage so any room servicing was not available at a very busy time with lots of guests The staff who were working were very kind and efficient and had to tolerate drunken abuse from a guest in the bar which was uncomfortable for other guests particularly children Table clearing at breakfast was a mammoth task and the staff responsible (two gentlemen we could see) were fantastic, credit where due, outside the building bins full and messy but we could see why

They didn’t provide the room service due to the shortage staff. Breakfast area was crowded and miss managed we had to wait to find a table for long time. Lots of people arrived at the same time between 8-9 am and the hotel staff could manage properly the tables was dirty and the foods quality weren’t good at all. Arrived three quarters of an hour after check in time, was advised the room would be ready in ten minutes, fifteen minutes later another member of staff advised us the room would be ready in ten minutes. I told them we had already been waiting fifteen minutes, at which point I was told he had spoken to housekeeping himself and they had said ten minutes. We were offered on both occasions a free drink. Fifteen minutes later the room became available. This meant we had to wait half an hour. On check out I was advised that I had been marked down as a no show, the helpful receptionist corrected the error and apologised for the inconveniences of yesterday’s wait and the error on the system. Both receptionist yesterday were apologetic but I feel that the waiting time was unacceptable

Check in was without issue, the lady at reception was very polite. Room was comfortable and clean. There was however a fire alarm activated at around 11pm, which did not cancel for sometime which caused several of us to start to evacuate. No staff were visible and had to contact reception to find out whether we still had to leave the building.

Great value for money and excellent staff. Ali was friendly but efficient when checking us in and kudos to the staff working the breakfast as it was literally a stampede of people, rushing to get their food, pitting croissants in the toaster in spite of the obvious sign saying NOT to…and Russell (staff member) was cool, calm and collected, really friendly and chipper. Everyone worked really hard and the minute something ran out, it was immediately replenished. Great work guys. The rooms are a great size and for the price, it’s really good value for money. Only issue is parking and having to pay £6 per day. If they included this cost in the room, no one would bat an eyelid and it would still be competitively priced.

The staff were so friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent as was the quality and comfort of the modern bedrooms. The food and service excellent too. Very good value hotel with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Very friendly staff, from Duty Manager, reception, bar and waitresses, very clean tidy room, very comfortable bed. Good quality curtains ensured a good night's sleep. Ate in the restaurant which was good, plenty of choices for the inclusive breakfast.

Hotel staff on reception and bar were awful. Slow and clearly did not want to be there. Poor food options in the evening unless you want pizza and fish and chips. Hotel needs a lock of paint and another hotel that makes a crazy amount of money from the car park. Just put the cost of the car park in the room hire so we know what the total stay costs.

I can honestly say this is the worst holiday inn express ive ever stayed at. The staff i spoke to were not helpful at all in fact most would barely speak and very clearly did not want to be there. When checking in the guy only spoke to tell me what my room number was. The bathroom in my room was infested with flies. I stayed for 4 nights and never had housekeeping come in once even though the sign was on my door for it to be done. Instead i got a note under my door saying that they had been unable to make it up. Overall it was awful and i will never go back

Photos make it look better than in person. The price is good for its value. It is not very walkable since it is right off the motorway and there is nothing nearby worth walking too. The restaurant has good food and a good selection of beers.

Arrived at hotel 20 min earlier than the check in time. Was told our room wasn’t ready but we could sit and wait till 3pm if we wanted. Nice quite hotel, there was also a restaurant on site but quite a few things off the menu, due to deliveries/ staffing. Very comfortable beds. Great breakfast, plenty of choice.

Cheap and cheerful. Comfortable enough for a night. Good hot showers and nice (Dove Brand) shampoo/soap. Clean bathrooms. Good breakfast although very crowded and refills hard to keep up with amount of people coming through. Staff were generally pleasant and accomodating.

Everything was absolutely fine except the breakfast. Particularly impressed with the the check in experience. However, it was a great shame to find all the food at breakfast was cold, especially as we were there when it opened at 06.30hrs.

Great room and very friendly staff A late bar which is always great. Breakfast was poor as there was little food left. It was exceptionally busy due to a temporary campsite nearby- I think a lot of campers had sneaked in as room numbers were not checked.
