WiFi needs improving, guest heating controls (slept with doors open so was super noisy and didn't sleep at all well), despite cleaning very dusty (plus hairs left around the place), space and storage to actually put stuff, more than 1 pillow as they're flat flat

The hotel is located very close to the central train station making access to the trains, metro and trams very easy. Our room was good nothing fancy but clean the bed was comfortable. There is one issue I must mention, it was the bathroom. The toilet seat had several cracks in it, the shower pan is a smooth white plastic that gets very slippery when wet and soapy. There was a string hanging down the wall of the shower pulling it we discovered is an alarm to the front desk apparently in case you slip in the shower. That cannot be a mitigation measure for an obvious safety hazard. On the third night of our stay there was a foul odour that came into the room we called the front desk and they sent someone. He did something to the shower drain and it seemed to subside. However on our last evening the odour returned we made a report again. The room was 406 I don’t know if only this room has issue but the hotel seems to be aware that there is a problem. Guest should not have to endure that.

After using the shower, our entire bedroom was smelling the sewers. We informed the reception and a technician was sent to spray some chemical products in the evacuations and some perfume on the shower curtain. The mix of toxic smells was too strong. We decided to open the window for the night. Then we couldn't sleep because of the noise of the street; our room was on the ground floor

I'm scoring my review as average based on how I was able to sleep here. Great location, just moments from Central Station with plenty of places to eat right on the doorstep. It's nicely presented and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I was facing the street. The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom was excellent. It came equipped with a flat screen tv, a mini bar and basic toiletries in the bathroom. The room was modern and fresh and I was really pleased with it. Great first impression. Wifi is available free of charge but the speeds are absolutely awful, meaning that I just stuck to 5G on my phone. Nice clean towels and bedding. What really let the hotel down was noise and the fact that the room was like a sauna. It would appear that the hotel have disabled the AC for the winter period to save money, but the temperature of my room was 28° . I was able to open the window during the day, but needed to keep it closed at night to keep the street noise to a minimum. It's central Milan and it's noisy. This meant that my room was absolutely stifling. The cleaning staff parked their trollies right outside my room every morning and were banging and smashing about, with mobile phones ringing every morning. This also disturbed my sleep. I slept really badly during my stay here which was a shame as the hotel is really nicely presented. Nothing to do with cleanliness, the place is immaculate. It was just far too hot and far too noisy.

Spice hotel is very close to the Milano Centrale train station so it was very convenient location wise for us as we were spending two nights before catching the train. Staff were helpful and professional the breakfast was great the room was ok the major two problems were that we were on the ground floor so there was a ton of noise from staff and the street at night so its not that quiet you can hear a lot of noises. The bed was comfortable but we were not a fan of the design of the room the concrete walls are strange and its quite dark not the best lighting my husband said it looks like a prison cell. The design of the shower in the bathroom is terrible they need to change it there is no depth to the shower floor it is flat against the floor and nothing but a curtain to prevent water from getting on to the floor you will make a mess every time you take a shower as others have commented. It is a decent hotel but if i had to chose again id go elsewhere.

This hotel is very close to the Milan Central station with many choices for restaurants. I can say a budget hotel and thus do not over expect than what was provided for the normal stay. There was lot of noise from the corridor in the night, hence no sleeping comfort. Rooms are very small and quite a few times the small insects were flying around.

Our stay at Spice Hotel was short and sweet and I was happy it was that way. We were only here for one night and we could not wait to leave. The moment we walked into our hotel room, it was 28.2 degrees. They didn’t mention it to us at the reception that the Air Conditioning was turned off for the season - I had to read it from a previous review. We were on the ground floor which meant we had to keep our window open for some fresh air - but it was extremely easy for someone to 1) look into our room and 2) basically climb into our room. Staff was not very friendly. The bed was extremely hard and only gave us one pillow each. The shower curtain makes absolutely no sense as all the water just comes out. The sink was very leaky all night and the TV never got any proper connection and was always lagging. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There’s other hotels around the area that are much more safer and don’t make you feel like you need to be on your guard all night.

The Spice Hotel Milano is in a perfect location next to Milano Centrale (train and metro station that will take you almost anywhere). However, the hotel is incapable of regulating the temperature in its rooms. I stayed during February 2026 (outside temperature at night 2 degrees Celsius or 35 degrees Farenheit). The thermostat inside stated it was 27.5 degrees Celsius (81.5 degrees Farenheit). Upon telling the front desk, they claimed it could not be adjusted but the "heat could be turned off". That never happened. This made sleeping in the room almost impossible. This was too bad as the room had a very comfortable bed, large TV, and spacious bathroom shower. The front desk also did not make any effort to welcome me, add value to my trip, bring any positivity to my stay, or wish me well as I left (lack of hospitality).

Great location, close to Milano Centrale with plenty of restaurants around for food. Our room was okay. Good space and a comfortable bed. We were on the ground floor, so I disliked that our window opened out onto the street and our room seemed to share a wall with a nearby restaurant as we could hear people talking, dishes clanging and chairs scraping. Our bathroom also had an accessible shower, which meant that showering resulted in the entire floor getting wet. Thankfully the rooms were serviced each day, as the cleaners did a great job with resetting the bathroom for us. Overall, it was a very convenient place to stay if being close to the Milano Centrale is important for you.

Il peggior check in e check out in 35 anni che giro il mondo… inammissibile che perdo 55 minuti per il check in, perché non trovavano la mia prenotazione, avallando anche che era fake la prenotazione. Dopo che gli ho anche detto vi ho mandato una mail per la richiesta di cancellazione, è voi avete risposto con un no secco. Dopo svariati tentativi ricerche , sono riusciti a trovare la prenotazione… Check out non ne parliamo proprio, 10 minuti che chiacchieravano tra loro, l altro che ogni tanto rispondeva al telefono. Morale della favola pessima esperienza. La camera si vede che è stata rinnovata, ma non ben curata, tavola del vc rotta, doccia con mattonella lesionata.. non è insonorizzata per nulla, tale che ho ascoltato un film della camera affianco. Unica nota positiva,se chiamarla tale.. la vicinanza alla stazione centrale di Milano.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! Checking in was very easy, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is a few minutes walk away from the main train station which is super convenient. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay at a nice hotel and not break the bank.

Never have I experienced a hotel where 1 minute after breakfast is over they tell you to leave because they’re closed and need to clean. Literally have stayed in over 100 hotels while traveling and it is always the same. When breakfast is about to close they ask every guest to get what they need because it will close. Not here. Me and my husband were enjoying the coffee and tea and the end of our meal and at 1101 we’re told they’re closed and need to clean. I went straight to reception and they said they agreed that’s not right. But that was it. I asked for a manager and they stated she would be there the next day. The next day she said she spoke to the person. Agreed that it wasn’t what should happen and apologized. We didn’t have at breakfast again because being told to leave is just ride and ruins your day. We paid for breakfast for every day. There was no.” Let me reimburse you for the breakfasts you didn’t eat because of the rudeness”. No. Just the typical “ this has never happens.” Laughed it off. I’m sorry. Have a great day! With so many hotel options this was just a terrible experience. When we returned to get our luggage. They didn’t check the tags and our stuff was all over the closet. We shopped. Anyone could have pointed at our bags and taken our stuff. Terrible! I do not recommend.

The Spice Hotel Milano is in a perfect location next to Milano Centrale (train and metro station that will take you almost anywhere). However, the hotel is incapable of regulating the temperature in its rooms. I stayed during February 2026 (outside temperature at night 2 degrees Celsius or 35 degrees Farenheit). The thermostat inside stated it was 27.5 degrees Celsius (81.5 degrees Farenheit). Upon telling the front desk, they claimed it could not be adjusted but the "heat could be turned off". That never happened. This made sleeping in the room almost impossible. This was too bad as the room had a very comfortable bed, large TV, and spacious bathroom shower. The front desk also did not make any effort to welcome me, add value to my trip, bring any positivity to my stay, or wish me well as I left (lack of hospitality).

Breakfast buffet is an additional 15 euro /person. "free breakfast" is very basic and includes only croissants. Coffee and juice are in the buffet portion, requiring payment. The bacon and coffew are hardly worth the 15 euro upcharge. The room was very quiet and the curtains are blackout to sleep off the jet lag.

Elegant hotel, but oddly they have subterranean rooms, which do smell like a cellar (the air down there is not so good). Only Italian TV's were available, toilet wouldn't flush well, heavily overpriced breakfast with very little fresh fruits and stale (old bread). Very small uncomfortable waiting area in a tight lobby. Heavily overpriced considering all factors, but conveniently close to the train station AND very kind staff.

Never have I experienced a hotel where 1 minute after breakfast is over they tell you to leave because they’re closed and need to clean. Literally have stayed in over 100 hotels while traveling and it is always the same. When breakfast is about to close they ask every guest to get what they need because it will close. Not here. Me and my husband were enjoying the coffee and tea and the end of our meal and at 1101 we’re told they’re closed and need to clean. I went straight to reception and they said they agreed that’s not right. But that was it. I asked for a manager and they stated she would be there the next day. The next day she said she spoke to the person. Agreed that it wasn’t what should happen and apologized. We didn’t have at breakfast again because being told to leave is just ride and ruins your day. Location is very close to the train station, and it’s a quick Metro ride to the city centre. The room was clean but sparse (no coffee or facecloth). The downside was that the room smelled a bit musty/ stale and I couldn’t seem to get rid of it.
