Reliable quality. The code for the pool didn't work well for me and for other guests. I had to go back to the desk twice for help and the staff came out to do the code. We're in the pool area and another couple tried to enter and couldn't. I felt weird not opening the gate for them as they too had to go back to the desk to get help. Then a third couple had to do the same. I felt uncomfortable not helping the other quests, but I know the staff only wants guests with pass codes to enter. And, there was no soap/body wash in the dispenser by the sink.

The hotel was nice for my kid and I. Nothing luxurious, just a clean, casual, nice place to stay. Staff was sweet, check-in cookies were great, pool and hot tub were clean (we went swimming both days of our stay), and lots of vending machines were available on our floor. Bring cash because my card wasn’t working on one of the machines! Also the morning breakfast was good. We enjoyed making the fresh waffles! The hotel is not in an ideal location…we couldn’t really walk anywhere. It’s tucked behind a closed-down K-mart. But driving is easy in Chico, and overall we enjoyed our stay.

The furniture and carpets were stained and looked dirty. The room smelled unclean. Room 115. The sheet had a stain. I don’t normally write reviews but this room was not up to BW standards. I was very tired upon arrival and didn’t have the energy to complain and change rooms. Plus the desk clerk told me the hotel was sold out. I was disappointed with the stay.

It was a disappointing property for being a Best Western property. The toilet didn't work, the towel rack was hanging by one side, there were cigarette burns on the bedspread, the upholstery furniture and carpets were dirty and stained. The website pictures looked updated and beautiful but it was not. At least the room that we were in. We requested the sheets be changed because of stains, the mattress was stained on the sides. The staff was quick to make the changes and fix the broken items, but that should have been taken care of the by staff before we even arrived. And unfortunately, it is located in an area that made us feel unsafe and worried that our car would be vandalized or stolen during the night.

I will never in my life stay here again. The front desk was unbelievably rude. Not sure what her problem was, then she had the nerve to give me a nasty look when I walked out to get something out of my car. Good grief, if you’re that miserable just quit. I travel to Chico every week for business, and I learned my lesson at this place, to never book again. The room was filthy, blood on lamp shades, screen on window about a cm from falling off, dirty carpets, hard as rock bed. It says free WiFi, but nobody gave me access, it’s a seedy area. All night I hoped nobody broke into my car or my room. TV had 8 channels, the roof leaked, my room door had to be slammed to shut to close. I could go on and on. $110 a night is absurd!

The property and room were of average condition (we tour with our band a lot and have seen plenty that were far worse) The hotel is a little lacking mod cons like usb charging etc. Breakfast was good. And the staff was really friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel property had plenty of grass to walk our dog. The provided breakfast was fine. The hotel is next to a defunct Kmart and the streetlights along the private road leading to the hotel were not illuminated, which was not good at night. Our room (109) had a buzzing/rattling noise coming from above the beds and towards the exterior wall, which we could easily hear with the air conditioner off at night. It might have been from ductwork and/or a bathroom fan from the adjacent room. We have rarely heard such noises in other mid-priced hotels.

We arrived at 2:45 pm, 15 minutes before permitted check-in time and were told (nicely) that although the room was ready, we'd be charged $25 for early check-in. Wha???. It was not a big deal to wait but still... On the other hand when I experienced a medical emergency requiring a visit to a local eye doctor the next morning, the front desk gal offered us late check-out at 12:30 no charge.

For an older hotel it is well maintained and clean. The staff was very helpful. I booked the wrong dates and they were able to help me book the second night at a rate that would embarrass Expedia as it should. I will book directly in the future.

Check in did go well. When I got to the front desk the agent said the room had been double booked and she could not help as I booked through a third party and I needed to call Hotels.com ( she also said that's why we prefer booking direct) So when I got to my room I called Hotels.com directly. After over an hour I finally got a live customer service agent. He said I had to pay a service fee. I explained to him I booked the reservation on my cell phone and after checking my email I could not find it so I figured it did not go through and rebooked (arrived at the hotel about an hour later) He said that didn't matter and if I didn't a service fee would have to pay the full amount on both rooms. I told him this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a manager. He then said there's none available and they're just going to say the same thing. I then said I still wanted a call back from a MGR He said no one would call back. I then told him I was going to call my bank and put the second charge on hold. He said they would charge me an additional fee and I would have to pay the full amount on the 2 rooms. I called the bank, the agent listened to what happened and said that's not the way it works . The second charge is currently on hold and induspuite. I have been a hotel.com customer for many and never had just a problem . I would appreciate someone looking into this and getting back with me. The property was decent, check in staff was helpful and friendly. It was convenient, reasonably priced, comfy beds, and a great free breakfast. Downsides were noise at night , older building so I could hear every door close . In addition I’d suggest they have the police do a loop thru there at night or get security to patrol, the location is tucked in a corner and the parking lot seems to have a lot of activity . I can handle myself but it did make me a little uncomfortable and worried for my car.

The staff was great place was clean. The negative feedback is that the rooms are very out dated. The wall are thin you can hear everything from other people rooms and throughout the hall. A lot of homeless hanging out in the parking lot.

Carpet by ac soaking wet, room felt dirty and musty, shower had non moving door so you had to step into shower to turn on causing you to get wet. Breakfast was random stuff that they put together. Breads were all put in ziplock bags and labeled with pen. Sausage tasted like it was microwaved from frozen and gravy was in a crockpot. Breakfast was supposed to be until 9am but they started putting stuff away at 8:45. 2 ladies that were putting it away we’re having a conversation about a job one of them was going to get when college kids came back from break and they were using cuss words

Good location with great parking. Had a issue with hot water. It would be what I call a welcoming hotel, very utilitarian. It is a place to stay! Clean and quiet. The breakfast is sad, they don't an effort. I dont even understand why these typs of place pretend to care about breakfast. Also the coffee was bad.
