The pool was actually decently warm. Most places say heated pool and it's cold. This one was decent forreal. The hot tub was actually open and open until 10 pm.

Check in was seamless, staff was attentive and friendly. Breakfast was stocked and ready the whole time. I think it is also a nice touch that they have a fire pit next to the hot tub , it’s very relaxing. Would stay again on the way back.

Pros: Easy check in, plenty of parking, Friendly staff, Free coffee/ tea / hot cocoa and cookies in the lounge. Clean facilities, free breakfast. Heated pool with fireplace. Cons: No elevator, No air conditioning. Restaurants closes early at 9:30. Beach access is across the street.

Best bang for your buck! My stay here was wonderful! We had ocean view from our balcony, we were about five mins away from moonstone beach and about five mins away from the Hearst castle visitor center. They had a fire pit by the pool which was very warm & cozy! Breakfast was awesome they had a full buffet. Customer service was great here the staff were ALL extremely helpful and nice. Thank you guys so much for the awesome stay! I will definitely come back:)

Coffee is made too weak. But the rest of breakfast is great. For an older property, the room was in good shape, clean and stocked. Bed was comfortable. Stayed 2 nights on a solo trip to Hearst Castle. Be aware there are 2 sections - the back section is 2 story with. O elevator, so if carrying suitcases is a challenge - say it before you book. I got lucky that the front desk could change my room when I checked in. Would return again.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We loved the cookies, tea and coffee availability in the lobby, and thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub and fire pit. The room was clean and very comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning.

First off the front desk was exceptional, The rooms were so clean ,huge bathroom, very comfortable the room that I had had a balcony that looked over the garden, They have a out door heated pool It was so nice and hot tub and fire pit .Breakfast was 5 stars so good ,Complimentary coffee and tea The best was their hot out of the oven chocolate chip cookies So Good. They do have a restaurant but it is closed on Mondays will try it the next time, Literally the best hotel I have stayed at in San Simeon.Highly Recommend them

Great place to stop especially if you want to see the Hearst Castle. The included breakfast was delicious as well. Lots of options and great coffee. There is an outside pool, jacuzzi, and a gas fireplace for guests.

Staff was amazing but the jetted tub was discussing, turned on jets and chunks of bacteria, mold, and slime shot out everywhere, please if your going to rent the room out, make sure the rooms are cleaned properly!

Pros. The room was very clean and spacious The bed was attractively made and very comfortable The price was right The location is great (near the ocean) The breakfast is great: coffee, tea, oh those scrambled eggs! My wife is a great cook but she kept wishing for a recipe, good selection of breakfast items, everything fresh, the cookies are there 24/7. The staff is great. The heated outdoor pool is great if you want to swim. Need some Attention: The door posts to our room had damage marks. The carpet had subdued stains. However none of these are deal breakers. They pale away given to the benefits.

Lower level room had no ventilation other than sliding glass door, which opened onto parking lot. Unsecure and unsafe. Noise, from loud guests above and from parking lot and street outside, made sleeping difficult. Missing basic amenities like hand soap in rooms.

Staff were excellent. Arrival and check-in went smoothly. Parking was horrendous. Huge planter box taking up 6 spaces in a tiny lot? Room was a nice size, and bathroom was clean. Very musty smell upon entering, and had to leave patio door open to air it out. When closed, smell was awful. Bed was clean and tidy, but old and very uncomfortable mattress. Very nice to have a refrigerator and a microwave. Breakfast was very nice. And the candy bars at check-out was a very nice touch.

The service was great and the free breakfast provided a variety of foods. The room was spacious and we loved that there was two folding tables in the closet (for luggage) instead of just one. The jetted tub was a good feature but getting in and out for a shower was not great. I wish the tub was separate. The only problem we really had was the water pressure while showering and the inconsistent temperature based on others taking a shower.

Edward was very friendly, efficient and accommodating upon check-in. Hotel is a little worn due to salt air but clean. No A/C in room so patio door stayed open all night allowing noise to be part of the evening.

The breakfast options were very good (eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, bagels, waffles, yogurt, and more). The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Check-in was very pleasant and very quick. The rooms could use either AC or a ceiling fan. I would have liked a little more water pressure in the shower, but it was okay.

Friendly staff, satisfying breakfast, coffee all day. Easy check in and clean rooms, right next to the beach. If you are a light sleeper, make sure to bring ear plugs! The walls are thin and there were barking dogs and crying babies around us, and could hear the neighboring room conversation through the wall.

The manager at the property was professional. Any issue that needed to be addressed was done immediately. He has a great customer service. Was proactive in the hotels workings and addressed the guests by their last names, which made the stay that much more personable. Love this place. Heated pool. Jacuzzi and a fire pit for the guests to enjoy... this is my new place to stay at.

Everything was great. Edward was probably one of the best employee, manager-owner…not sure. His service and attention to your needs are the best. Would stay there again just because of his hospitality. Nice rooms with a great breakfast.

My wife and I actually stayed 4 nights. Our initial booking was for 3 nights, but the service, comfort, and convenience was so great, that we extended an extra night rather than staying a night down in Morro Bay. We've stayed at this property multiple times over the last several years. Exceptional customer care is received each time. And while we have nothing but kind words for all of the staff, Edward stands out as one of the absolute best in the hospitality industry (we travel a lot and have many examples to compare this to). Edward goes above and beyond, makes you feel as an honored guest, and radiates positivity and a welcoming charm. My wife forgot her sweater in the room after we checked out. We received a call from Edward letting us know about it and assisting us with an easy, inexpensive return option (we live 6 hours away and were already home). And we'd like to extend an extra *THANK YOU* to the staff that assisted in returning to the sweater to the front desk! Not all lodging facilities will put in this effort (ask us how we know)! There are many great choices in San Simeon for lodging; we've always been delighted with all of the hospitality workers and locals each time we visit. But we continue to choose the Quality Inn because the rooms are clean & comfortable, free breakfast, our dog stays for free, and exemplary service from people like Edward and the rest of the crew. We look forward to staying here again in the near future!

The gentleman that checked us in and probably runs the place was so nice, he made sure everything was fine and the beat continental breakfast I’ve ever had baked cookies and coffee fresh all day ! Had a great relaxing time ! Thanks !

This is obviously an older property and nothing can disguise this. However, it is well kept and the staff is exceptional. I don't mean just nice, like at most places, but outstanding service. The Breakfast, for example, is better than in most restaurants: CRISP bacon, eggs, biscuits with gravy, potatoes, waffles, you get the idea. At least 4 people were keeping the breakfast well stocked and hot as a host of locusts descended on the food. And they were pleasant and helpful during all the hurry. In short, the rooms are OK, but not state-of-the art. Comfortable nonetheless. Good place to stay.

Mr. Hererra was amazing check-in was so easy. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He even had home made cookies ready with hot chocolate. Rooms were very clean. And the breakfast had everything my family enjoys eating. All the staff were very attentive. I am definitely returning to this hotel.

Easy and friendly check in. Room was clean. Property was clean and quiet. We really enjoyed the cookies, coffee, hot cocoa and tea available throughout the day by the front desk! The breakfast was decent. Nothing fabulous but pretty good for standard hotel breakfast. Powdered eggs aren't my thing but the breakfast potatoes and condiments that were available made them palatable. The hot tub was clean, nice outdoor pool area and fire pit as well. We didn't go in the pool but it looked very clean. Would definitely stay there again.
