walkable to the shopping and downtown. clerks were very efficient and pleasant and we are happy with their service. The ONLY elevator was out, meaning carry your bags up 2 flights of stairs. The cleanliness was suspect. There is mold on the ceiling. If the room was inspected prior to our check in these last 2 things would / should have been taken care of or the room should NOT have been used until repaired.

The hotel is in a creek and has a fire pit and swings beautiful location . You can float in a tube . So bring a tube round one and you won’t have to pay to tube . Highly recommend hotel staff is awesome. I had river view with balcony . Amazing view . Beds comfortable 10 stars !!!

Great location one block off the main road and backs to the Chattahoochee River so you can relax and watch the tubers go by. Lovely breakfast too.

Amazing hotel! Now, this hotel is undergoing maintenance and the pool is also not open during the off season, but this was clear on the booking ahead of time. The location is perfect. You can walk right into Helen. It’s on the river. We had a beautiful view and even got to put our feet in the very cold Chatahoochie River. I highly recommend this hotel. We will be back again!

When we went to the pool, we had to clean a lot of leaves from the water. The pool deck also had a lot of leaves. I know that may sound trivial but it was kind of a big deal for us. Otherwise, the place was good. We have stayed there twice and will probably come back next summer.

We loved this property right on the river. Our room was river view with a balcony and overlooked the beautiful scenery. The lobby was warm and inviting and the breakfast area was clean and well stocked. A bonus was the covered parking. My only critique is that the facility needs to be freshened up a bit. Overall we enjoyed our three night stay and would return.

Had a room on the first floor sadly with renovations starting early in the morning. Tapping, workers talking, glue smell was a great way to wake up. Please if you’re renovating on the first floor try not to put guests on the first floor.

Hotel was going through a needed remodel. Nothing was inconvenient , but some area's were in a understandable and necessary mess. No problems , just need patience and understanding for good results. We had a really good view from our room of the river.

I cannot believe this is a Hampton Inn. Our room was filthy, except for the bedding. The carpet had multiple stains and there was no way they vacuumed the carpet or the bathroom as there was trash in the floor. The balcony had cigarette butts and a drink that was attracting ants. We should have guessed that the room was going to be dirty as there was trash and a washcloth in the hall as we approached our room that was still there when we checked out. We found a half empty coke in the refrigerator. I could not comfortably walk around barefoot because it was so gross. It was so bad that I didn't sleep well and we left as soon as we woke up. I didn't even want to get in the shower or eat any breakfast. I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. I challenge any Hilton executive to spend the night here. Only positive was the location. This property needs a deep clean desperately.

Room wasn’t clean. Fold out couch bedding needed to be changed. Tootsie pop stick still on sheets. When new sheets were brought up we got a look at the gross mattress. Food was left in microwave. Pillows were old and flat. Asked maid for towels the next day but never brought up, even after we asked her to just leave them on the table next to door. Worst Hampton Inn we’ve ever stayed in.

This should not be considered a Hampton hotel it was old and disgusting. There was hair all over the sheets and pillow case I went to the desk and told them the sheets were never changed I put four sheets down on the bed so I could sleep but was grossed out. The manager gave me a full refund

This property was disgusting. Mold, not clean at all. Unpleasant check-in, so much so that the agent appeared frustrated her dinner was disturbed. There were BUGS in the room. Staff members coughing all over food - nope. Never again Hampton.

DO NOT LET THE FACT THAT THIS A HILTON PROPERTY FOOL YOU!!!! Our horrible experience with this hotel began at check-in. The girl behind the counter never made eye contact nor spoke to us except to ask for vehicle information. The hotel is filthy and so outdated. It truly needs a complete gutting and remodel. Our room was not cleaned from past guests...hair on the linens, take-out container in the garbage can and black lint on the floor. The shower and ceiling are covered in mold and the air vent is coated in hair/dust. Spots all over the mirror. ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED IN!!! ***The option to add photos does not work, hmmmmmm wonder why*** I will be posting on all social media outlets and contacting Hilton Worldwide!!

Our room was very dirty!!! Toilet, shower, and sink in bathroom were not clean at all!!! Dead bugs on carpet in main area. Mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. We had to put towels on the plastic chairs outside on the balcony because they were so dirty. No plastic liner for the ice container. Only 2 paper cups for water and coffee. Nice view from balcony. Convenient to downtown, restaurants and shops. Staff was very friendly. This place badly needs updating and a new manager because the maids are not doing a good job at all.

Rooms were very clean, staff was friendly, gave us early check in, breakfast was above average. Only downside was ac but always have a problem with ac in hotels.

The bed was extremely firm. I had a difficult time getting comfortable. When we checked in there was water in our bathtub. Staff were friendly. Close to all restaurants and shopping.

Hotel was clean and located in a great spot with easy access to the shops and main drag. Balcony view was excellent and the exterior had a nice European countryside feel.

The location was great. The staff very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the walls are not very sound proof between rooms. I could hear next door conversations and was awaken at 2am by neighbors room party.

Our first visit to Helen. So beautiful! The room was huge. A little dated. The pillows are well used and should be replaced. The air conditioner was very cool so that was wonderful. Amber was amazing and got us checked in early. Very convenient location.

Stayed in a deluxe king room with jetted tub. Room was huge. The small balcony looking out over the river was nice, though we didn't get to use it much due to the rainy weather during our stay. The hotel is located a couple blocks off the main street, so it is quiet, but is within easy walking distance of almost everything in town.

Not like any Hilton/Hampton I’ve been to. It was under renovations, but our room was “finished” Ugly carpet and poor renovation. No bathroom fans. Thought it was broken, but was told it’s ventilation and no fans. The poop smells and shower humidity lingered. Bring toilet spray if you have a teenage boy lol. The room was really spacious! The doors don’t shut. Just won’t be back, had an icky motel 6 vibe.

Great stay...Very comfortable beds. Loved having a balcony...just wish the seating area on the balcony was a bit more upgraded (i.e. Perhaps a small table to hold drinks/snacks, etc.)

This was one of the best hotel experiences we've had in a while. The facility is great, and they were renovating areas to make it even better. What won me over was the service at the desk. Will was the worker who helped us check in. He was fantastic. Just the nicest guy. He helped and accommodated some requests we had. We were in walking distance to so much on the main road. My kids loved the free cookies and drinks throughout the day. Thank you for making our trip so good!

Great location in the heart of Helen. It’s within easy walking distance to the shopping and so many great restaurants. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They even texted us 30 minutes after we checked in to make sure everything was okay with our room.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! The “wonderful” rating is why I booked this location. And there is absolutely NOTHING wonderful about this property at all. First of all good luck even finding how to enter the building! Then when you find the elevator, it’s dark no lights inside the parking garage. Trash everywhere. Employees sitting next to elevator smoking, smells awful. Then you get in the elevator that you’ve been waiting 10min for because there is just 1. Used for guests and employees. It smells like death. And then just when you think it can’t get any worse the not so pleasent looking young man at the front desk, to whom also was BAREFOOT abruptly asked “CHECKING IN?!” Not one ounce of customer service in him. I booked 2 rooms, our rooms were not together but in the same floor. And this whole vacation was for my 13 year olds birthday. Then we made our way upstairs our room was on the 3rd floor. The smell of mold in the hallway was so strong. Right there I should have turned around and walked out right then. But no, my Son was loving being right on the River and there were no other hotel options available. Our room smelled like cigarettes. Floor was disgusting and your feet stuck to it. I had to lay towels down on the floor because I didn’t want to wear my shoes 24/7. The beds were like sleeping on plywood. Outdated furniture. No decor, bathroom mirror frame was stained with drip marks of some kind. The fridge didn’t work. Phone didn’t work, Horrible experience.

The staff was phenomenal!!! They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable and easy as possible. 11 out of 10 for them!

After making a reservation, I arrived at the hotel with my family and to my surprise they told me that there was no room available and they left us in the cold night without a room. I am waiting for my money back. I requested a document proving that they did not give me the room and they only gave me a zero bill.

This property is right in the middle of Helen. Walking distance for everything there. Beautiful scenery and great midpoint to surrounding attractions like Ruby Falls,etc.

Almost everything about our stay was top-notch. The hot breakfast was not up to the usual Hampton Inn standard. The biscuits were rock hard and the sausage was dried out also.

Everything was great till breakfast, are was being updated and a bus load of kids were sitting in small eating area waiting for bus, was not room to even get close to breakfast food, had to leave and go down the street to eat, we felt the management should have taken control and moved kids away from eating area. Otherwise everything was good
