Stayed 1 night

The elevators were broken a week or two before we arrived and during our stay and I believe someone should have fixed them in a day or two before we got there. Also ice machines were broken and should have been fixed in a day. The staff was very nice about the rooms being hot due to 100 deg weather but the room cooled down a little at night but it was hard to sleep in the heat. There was no air conditioning in dining breakfast room even though a large floor fan was used but I could not eat there. I tried to eat in the lobby but lots of flies were in the lobby I guess trying to come in from The heat outside. The stairwells are old and have narrow steps and were slippery. They need to be repainted with new nonslip pads. It was hard to walk to the beach carrying chair over high sand dunes and deep sand. It hurt my ankles. They need longer wood plank walkways to the sand. Overall it's cheaper than a rental home across the street but i should have moved.over to Ramada inn next door but the staff was very understanding and nice.

Cleanliness matters to them! That was apparent. The staff we interacted with were great. We did have an issue with the girl at check in, we were there an hour early & I asked if we could get in a little earlier and she explained check in was at 4, however 2 other guests were allowed on early right in front of us. Policy should be enforced to all not just a few, otherwise it causes guests to feels singled out. She also checked us out and only barely looked up to tell us "you're good." It was much different treatment than we got from everyone else, they were friendly and kind. I do not expect balloons and huge smiles from everyone but I think her behavior fell short for us. It did not take away from the stay, we enjoyed the ladies that provided breakfast & the man at the desk. We also had a small power outage, we were at the beach for almost 5hrs while it was restored, no lunch or accommodations were offered to us for the inconvenience. Not a deal breaker as it was out of their control, no real need to go above and beyond.

Overall, a very good stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Complementary breakfast was descent. Walls were in need of repair and furniture was warn. Not 5 star but okay for the rate I was able to get. Electrical power went out for several hours on of the days, but I won't hold that against them.

The room was clean aside from all the mold. Both doors were very hard to shut and open. The ceiling outside looked like in a matter of time the it was going to fall!
