We loved the pool

Hotel was still in the process of being renovated. Our room was clean and in new condition. Room lacked any kind of table, no microwave and limited storage (no closet and very limited shelving). On the upside the hotel has an available washer-dryer and the staff was very friendly.

This is an older mid-island (nit ocean front) inn with a pool. It has been well maintained and updated. It is not luxury, but for a nice place to stay in a convenient location at Nags Head it is nice, clean, comfortable and a good value. The owners/managers are nice people that care about you and your stay. We were in a comfortable 2 bed room. The beds TV refrigerator and microwave were all working and in good shape. Lots of families there and it was calm and quiet. The only thing to be aware of is that is is 3 stories with steps but no elevator. We were on 3rd and it was fine for us. We had a great stay!

We were visited OBX for a little one night stay. My husband and I arrived to a beautiful hotel that nestled back off the highway exterior was bright and very clean. While walking to check in there were outside games for travelers to enjoy along with a pool with crystal clear water. Hotel lobby had a couple younger travelers enjoying the games and massage chair. The hotel attendant was nice and courteous got us to our room in no time. The interior was refreshing and super clean. We opened the door to our room to a refreshing beautiful room with a king size bed nice room size with no dings or paint missing the bathroom was amazing not even a corner or behind the toilet had a spec of dirt. We slept wonderfully no sounds from other guests rooms we had our own private oasis. We plan to definitely visit again. I could describe so much more about this fabulous hotel. Thank you for an incredible experience.

Beware that when booking through Expedia the room you are given upon arrival is likely to not be what you booked. The property is undergoing renovations and while the beds were quite comfortable, the general feel of the property is a bit chaotic. Doors slamming at odd hours of the night and the lobby is crowded with the various “amenities” they offer. For instance, the massage chair (in lobby beside check-in kiosk) and the sauna (in hallway on first floor) are both child sized. The aforementioned kiosk was the most bizarre and frustrating part of our experience. Despite there being a staff member at the desk, the kiosk is your means of check-in, communicating with someone via video who is not on site or well informed of the availability or type of reservation made. Perhaps with a bit more time, this property will become something enjoyable, but it’s not quite there yet.

Nice pool, clean room with good ac. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

The property was older. Beds need to be upgraded. There was no hot water the last two days of our stay. The pool area was nice.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time this weekend, just for one night. We booked a king room, first floor room, however, when I was checking in, we were given a third floor room. This hotel does not have elevators, so you have to go up 4 sets of stairs to the third floor. The room was clean and the bed was mostly comfortable. They do offer a limited breakfast (coffee, waffles, cereal) from 7am to 9am. This hotel is located on the bypass, close to Starbucks, CVS, 17th Street, JK's Steakhouse amongst other dining and shopping options. There are coin operated washers and dryers, vending machines and an ice machine available. Overall, a decent place to stay.

Definitely to be expected. The room had a real strong mold smell.

The sight said it had been remodeled but we didn't feel it had been updated for a few years. Mold in the shower and bathroom, carpet was ripped and stained, chair was dirty and wouldn't sit on it, also towel rack fell off the wall and other room the faucet fell off, coat rack broke. Beds were OK and pool area had broken seats, lobby was cluttered but staff were very nice and helpful.

This was the worst Hotel I've seen in my life, we refused to stay. The entire hotel smelled like mildew or mold. The room was so small you barely had space to walk, and the bed spreads were visibly filthy. The room was hot, AC was on but doing nothing. The staff was rude, and the owner refused a refund. They offered to move us to another room but I told them the whole hotel is unfit. The halls to the room were dark and smelled, so I knew another room wouldn't be any better. This outdated and filthy hotel should be condemned and demolished. We left without a refund, and had to find somewhere else to stay. Didn't stay long enough to take pictures.

My family loved this cute hotel, it was so clean & everyone was so nice! It was a perfect stay just a couple minute walk from the beach. Highly recommend

Clean, updated and a value.

Upon check-in at 5:30 p.m. nobody was there I called the number on the door and was told to call someone else they took my credit card over the phone for a resort fee which this is no resort. When I open the lock box there's multiple keys so I was told which key to take I only had one key. Going up the stairs covered in dirt dust and other things I was already grossed out. The room seemed semi-clean except for the dirty towel hanging up. People in the hallway playing loud music and talking about drugs made me very uncomfortable and very unsafe. I would have checked out but I can't drive at night. I didn't know who to call because I didn't want to go downstairs and check the numbers taped to the office door. I wish I had stayed somewhere else. This place used to be nice and I understand renovations are going on starting at 9:00 a.m. which I was also not aware about. After traveling 12 hours I would of liked to try to sleep some more. At checkout I tried to go in the office because I saw a coffee station The door was locked and the exterior door was not opening so I don't have a receipt for my resort fee I didn't get the " complimentary " breakfast. Waste of money waste of time probably would have slept in my car and had a better night. In the morning I started notice more trash in my room and mold in the bathroom and on lampshades.

Pleasant staff, easy access. It was a Fri nite and other visitors were noisy in the early evening, suggesting that the walls are not noise-insulated very well, and especially the doors, which also had a larger than normal under door space/opening.

This small hotel in completely renovated. I was shocked at how nice it was. Very modern, comfortable and the attention to detail was amazing. Best hotel I have ever stayed at in North Carolina.

Well first off the place was listed as beach access i thought it was on the beach. There was no microwave in the room which sucked to have to go out in the hallway to another room to warm up food. The bathroom door sucked because we had kids and they wouldnt stop opening it while we were pooping plus shower was all glass so a locking bathroom door would have been nice. Other then that it was nice and clean. Perfect for a family with no kids

Beds were comfortable, clean and liked the mirror in bath room and the big tv in room and the air plane light on the ceiling was very unique!

This was an overall 4 star. Nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff, decent location to beach(3-4 blocks). Also really nice pool! The downside was the beds were stiff and the foldout sofa bed mattress was shot, key cards were hard to keep from erasing. Magnetics phones, keys, debit cards all erase the keycard. But the stay was adequate for some beach time.

Found trash in the room and there was supposed to be a person at the desk not a self check in kiosk.... when the property asked how our stay was and i let them know of these issues they called the police and kicked us out. If you want a clean place to stay and nice staff don't statuary here.

It was the least expensive place around for that night, so that’s one good thing. Room was fine, as clean as one would expect. My 1st gripe is they called me multiple times to ask when I’d be there, etc. Not the biggest deal, but annoying. My two major issues are the water pressure was horrible, and the intrusion. This is a BIG deal to me and lucky for all of us I am not a trigger-happy panicky person. At 8:45 in the morning I hear a faint knock, another one about a second later, then the door is opening. Guy (I assume manager?) apologizes and I just stand there and say “It’s not even 9AM, what are doing!?” “Seeing if you were done or not.” “It’s 8:45 in the morning” My wife had just walked back in from the car and was in the shower at the time. This is not cool, wasn’t cool, and could have ended badly. We normally have the chain latched but didn’t do so after the prior trip to the vehicle.

Extremely hospitable staff that were always cheerful and readily available for any need. Explained checkin and was extremely easy even though we ran late arriving.

The owners are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and made us feel safe and welcome.

The rooms are very clean! The property owners are VERY accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure guests are happy! We will definitely be staying here again.

The room was very nice & clean. The hotel is lovely. Low stars given for the check in/out process. Horrible. No real person, took forever. Remote clerk forgot to unmute. Remote clerk couldn’t problem solve or answer questions and had to continuously leave to get answers. Took more than 30 minutes. Frustrating. But nice hotel with great towels/linens.

No one on duty had to deal with clerk in another state over the phone .im a woman and had to get key from lock box on propery alone after dark, got correct key then went to assigned room opened the door only to find the room occupied, then had to call the clerk again still alone in night parking lot. They got me a diferent room but i was uncomfortable that someone may unlock my door with key from lockbox or elsewhere. I have stayed here before and the staff was on site everything was nice but this stay frightened me as a single woman traveler and dont feel comfortable with this property any longer.

It was walking distance from the beach and lots of restaurants which made it more enjoyable to be able to walk out in the beautiful scenery while on vacation

Friendly staff, called and told me I could check in early if I need to. Good central location in KDH OBX. Good places to eat within walking distance. Will stay there again.

Check in was easy and the staff was super friendly. The inn is an older property, but it’s clean and well maintained. 2 short blocks to the beach and tons of food/shopping in walking distance. Parking is plentiful.

Great convenient location in the Outer Banks. Recommended.

Room was clean and nice. Bathroom clean as well. A/C unit was a bit loud like liquid draining. Restocked vending machines which we use Overall nice friendly staff.

They did not have the breakfast they promised was included and provided no compensation for its absence. You have to call a number to get a code to open a lockbox to access the room key card. No staff is on site. At the last minute, they charged more money than was quoted on my paid receipt before they would give me the code. I was not happy!

Very decent accommodations and was the best deal in town also. I travel constantly on business and other than having to ask for paper coffee cups. Everything was as it should be. It’s in a great location. Unfortunately I was not able to take it vantage of that.

We booked 2 bed and a sofa and was comfortable for 5. the room was spacious. close to many restaurants. Tele check in was easy. Popcorn flavors were awesome. One of the biggest negative, they don't have proper Breakfast. they gave granola bar, apple sauce, cereal. If this were the options I wouldn't have definitely selected this hotel for stay. One of the major thing we look for during vacation is a nice family breakfast. It was totally ruined. They better don't advertise themselves as giving breakfast.
