Escalator not working. Was charged a $44 resort fee at check in, afterwards the clerk tells me their pool is closed for the season, BUT I was welcome to walk to the neighboring hotel and use their pool?? How about skip the resort fee?

Only one garage elevator worked and we had to park on the 9th floor due to nothing available. Then once checked it it took about 12minitws to get an elevator and only one was working. Then we get to our room and it’s the smallest room I have ever stayed in. Upon checkout we again waited 15mins for an elevator for one to arrive crowded unable to carry us all. We than proceeded to a staircase and ended up in an employee only stairwell

The checkin lady was efficient. I got to the room and the AC was stuck on heat - when I called she immediately arranged a new room. The view from the room was crud (see photo), but that doesn't bother me. The casino was a casino, with overpriced drinks. The wifi was excellent. In the morning I wanted to use the pool - closed, please use the pool in the Silver Legacy next door - closed. That's supposed to be provided in the resort fee - I want $10 back please.

The service from the hotel staff at the front desk and in the gold room was wonderful. The cleanliness of the room left a little bit to be desired. The sheets were clean, but the comforter looks left on. The shower had mold.

Bathroom had used soap still on the shampoo dispenser and a weird white substance soap scum or worse perhaps visible through the cheap anti slip. Was given a new room easily enough. 2nd clerk was helpful and kind. 1st was impatient and awkward just very stand offish not a front desk personality. Security there harassed my friend for being on the phone in my car longer than they thought appropriate for her protection alledgedly. Security glared at me when my elevator doors opened upon checkout to where I had to ask him if I could help him just a very strange exchange. I have never had an issue with security anywhere so I get the impression this is just their mode: overbearing for no reason other than wanted to be a police officer but failed the psyche exam multiple times and settled for security guard at a casino. Bartender at the 24hr cafe never acknowledged us then disappeared shortly after. Paid for the luxury level room lol not even luxury when compared to a remodeled motel 6 outdated and not in a niche type cute way which could be overlooked if the staff were better. Won enough to where I would gamble there again but never again would I stay on property two thumbs down

The staff was wonderful. I can’t remember the name of the young lady who checked me in but she was bright and personable and extremely efficient. It was definitely the best part of my stay. Room was clean and comfortable but when I tried to take a bath, the water came out a bit brown in color. Also water leaked from the handle and the toilet seat came completely off when I lifted the lid.

The first night was rough because the outside noise kept us up all night. I think it is the air conditioning system boxes that make loud noises and it sounds like an airplane was outside our window. The trim red lights around the building can be seen from the top of the curtains and on the floor too. The next morning I went to the front desk and the Manager Mr. Caleb was on duty. I asked him if we could switch rooms and he was very nice and right away he switched us to an upgraded room far away from the 5th floor and the red trim lights. The second night we were at the hotel we were able to sleep. Thank you to Mr. Caleb we enjoyed our first stay at El Dorado Hotel.

I reserved a suite, it had a windows on both sides. It made the room nice, bright, and sunny. The room is huge, bathroom was large with 2 sinks bath room and a walk-in closet. The shower and toilet room was a bit small, they could have made the shower and toilet room bigger. It had a big jacuzzi in the middle of the room. The bed was huge and comfortable. Electric operated curtains, a nice touch. This was the second room, the first room was with very strong smoke smell, and front desk changed the room right away, the second room was 4 floors lower, The front desk service was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman at the bell desk was very kind and helpful, I asked him for directions to the conference room, and he actually took me all the way there and showed me a short cut way by using the elevator to the conference room. Very good stay!

After making the reservation, I reached out to the front desk to let them know it was a special occasion, I put in a few different requests but no acknowledgements whatsoever! reserved a king bed but when we go to the front desk she gave us 2 queens and said she had no other rooms! No DND sign in the room! 5am comes and I was trying to make coffee- coffee pot was broken! Housekeeping had to bring another one up. Both drains in the bathroom were plugged up, therefore, no drainage! There was also old trash on the floor! Nothing was done that I asked, being my wife’s birthday I wanted it to be something special. It wasn’t! The whole staff, even at the restaurant acted like they hated life. I would NEVER stay here again! Old, broken and tired all around. Spend your money somewhere else! This place doesn’t care about making guest experiences a good one. They only care about numbers. Believe me, do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time here!

Hotel employees at check-in complained that we booked through Expedia and not directly through them. Most places to eat at the hotel were either open only a few hours a day (check Eldorado web site for places to eat, then check hours they are open for yourself, very disappointing.) All were either closed 3 or 4 days a week or only open a very few hours each day. Casino was open 24 hours but had trouble finding food. Had trouble getting house keeping to service room each day (they wanted to service room only every 3rd day). First time stay and they have NO diagram or map of property to give us. Vending machines on 3 out of 4 floors I checked were not working. Poor service for what room costs, PLUS a $44 per night resort fee. Will NOT book here again.

The front desk staff are pretty rude. So if you don’t check in by internet you’ll deal with their unpleasantness. The room was rundown, now I know why the guy checking us in asked if we wanted an upgrade. The AC didn’t function well. The shower fixtures were broken. The TV worked half the time. Parking was partially blocked off due to maintenance. Half the stores are not open. The slot machines are over the top tight. After dropping quite a bit of money we decided to find other things to do. Believe me the was a task. You go to Reno to gamble. We tried the surrounding casinos but they were no better. Sadly I believe Reno is going under. So I guess that’s why the slots are tight. Well that was my last trip there. If you go and stay here, have low expectations.

We had a problem with heat in our room the first night, we called maintenance and a tech was there in 10 minutes and the problem resolved. The room was excellent, the maid service also excellent. Really enjoyed our stay and will do it again.

Front desk should be more polite and helpfull. And not say there busy while waiting in front of the computer being the only service clerk available atm and only have two people in line. and to refer people to the check out kiosk not knowing to situation. Or need training on how to check out early through the hotel and not send them back and forth with Expedia. When I came back a second time to the front desk a gentleman was there and had the best help, made quick and simple , said I wanted to check out, he asked what number, I told, then he was able to sign me out quickly. Which I appreciated greatly.

We had a wonderful three night stay. The mountain view suite was perfect. The dining options were just perfect. As with any casino venue the only negative was the cigarette smoke. Actually the cigar smoke Tuesday night was untenable.

This property feels outdated. Restaurants were not open late for a Saturday night. Stayed there after a concert thinking we could enjoy restaurant food. Instead went to the pizza place which only had two options. Breakfast food was very bland and pricey for what we got. Staff seemed to be having a difficult day.

The hotel was great- friendly staff, clean, nice room. But everything was closed. They tout all these restaurants, but literally no food was available at 10pm. In a casino? Silly. The one 24 hour restaurant is closed on Mondays for cleaning. Dumb. We came there to spend money and Eldorado literally prevented it.
