The picture on your website did not represent the property in its current condition. The pool was closed. The "security" doors were questionable - looked like they could have been pried open with a crowbar. Card readers didn't always work. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable about the area. With regard to the toiletries, I was disappointed. I chose not to pack my own because of the TSA regulations and the site offered free toiletries as an amenity. I assumed, incorrectly, that shampoo, cream rinse, shower gel and lotion would be in the room. Instead, only cheap soap and shampoo were provided. The iron and hair dryer were not in the room as they are in other hotels. I realize that these are trivial, but when added together they make the stay less pleasant. Also, please update your site to reflect a $150 deposit is required (not $100) for incidentals and room damage. This review doesn't mean that I won't choose an EconoLodge in the future. I will however make some phone calls before I book a stay. Travel lesson learned.

For an econolodge this one is not bad. The rooms are very spacious, have good AC and a balcony as well. The bed was good and the rest of the furnishings average for a budget hotel the facility is VERY well lit at night....in fact the sun never sets it's that well lit. Front desk staff was helpful (the two young ladies). It's also nice that there is a supermarket behind the motel that you can walk to and get anything you need. All in all it's a older motel and it shows it's age, but they do a good job keeping the rooms decent and functional.

I was disappointed, we stay here about 3 years ago, the stay was pleasant, though this time, the hotel was not the same and the pool and Jacuzzi was not in service. We were told by management that the pool will no longer be available at all. The pizza restaurant on site was not friendly at all. I will not stay here at anymore, the pool was a big plus, this was one of the main reasons I choose this hotel and I was very disappointed, no pool in RENO, and it was super hot!

Pure Dump! Arrived at 2pm wasn't able to get a room until 3. Which i found strange. Looked like people were living at this motel. Walls and doors were filthy. Door locks looked like they were broke. Light bulbs missing and not enough towels and dirty towels. Just gross didn't feel safe. Plus says it has a swimming pool but they don't allow any one to use it. Decieving add.

The pool was cover on a very hot day. The drinking water filtering system broken, shower nozzle loose (I repaired), USB charger did not work, clock radio unplugged--fixed after moving furniture, fridge not very cold at max setting, bug crawling on wall in bathroom, curtain did not close properly, doors hard to open with key card. Otherwise unit very clean, staff helpful, housekeeping respectful, shopping & dining in walking distance. But overall, the room was way overpriced for what we got. Probably never go here again, nor recomend Econolodge to anyone I like.

The room was not clean, curtains were pocked with holes, noisy until after 2 am, no room services were performed, front desk was notified on arrival that we had to leave one day early and no refund was received by Econo Lodge or Expedia (Expedia was notified on return from Reno - no computer access) We will not ever stay in another Econo Lodge, nor will we recommend it to anyone.

The room was very dirty. Peanuts on the floor, some dried white substance on the bed skirt of the bed, and small holes in the bed sheet. We always check for bed bugs in the mattress, and found very dirty stained mattresses. We walked right out and didn’t stay.

I had stayed at this hotel property several years ago. The price I paid this time was OK, but the property was disgusting. I had mold in the shower on the ceiling of the shower as well. A used bottle of shampoo, poor internet service, the TV kept dropping a signal, and I went to call the front desk, but the phone didn't work. I had to go buy bed bug spray, got a few bites, NOT HAPPY about that. The floor was so dirty, I kept my socks on until I got in bed. Holes in the drapes, huge gap under the front door, the grounds are a disaster, I was there for 3 nights, and not once did they come and clean the room or bring fresh towels, or more shampoo. Personally I would think about "Choice Hotels" removing this property from their selection. It's a dump. Poor lighting, the A/C didn't work, the entire room was dirty, holes in the bathroom door, and I guess that is why they ask for a $150.00 security deposit, which took about a week to get reimbursed. I didn't want to write this review until I got my $150.00 back. I guess you get what you pay for. Lesson learned.

Floors didn’t seem like they had truly been cleaned. Bathroom was the same way, only about halfway done. One thin blanket on top of the bed. Key card had to be reprogrammed every single day. Truly pathetic. Two stars is being very generous!

ROACH AND BED BUG INFESTATION !!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Rooms are disgusting! Property is filthy! Front desk staff are rude and obnoxious! Tried intimidating my fiance cause we were 10 mins late checking out lol smh bunch of clowns frfr. Rooms are so dirty and smell horrible! All linens have holes, stains and cigarette burns, heater did not work, location is bad, just an all around horrible experience! NEVER AGAIN

Check in took 30 minutes. There was a long line and it was not efficient. I had reserved 2 rooms and only one was booked under my name. The manager got involved and was aggressively screaming at the guy at the front desk in front of everyone. So unprofessional. We finally got things squared away and one of our 2 rooms smelled suffocating like marijuana. The property was noisy. The pillows felt like sleeping on lumpy rocks. We hardly slept. The only redeeming quality was the guy at the front desk was very kind and accommodating.

The room was clean and the bathroom was exceptionally clean. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a first-floor room and received one, however the first floor is actually half a stairway down from the parking lot at the back of the building. And the second floor is half a stairway up. So really the second floor would have been the same. My room was at the very rear of the property and I did not have wi-fi signal. The motel is a short walk from Virginia Lake, a very beautiful area.

You get what you pay for. The linoleum floor turned my sons white socks black, the bed was awful, tv was small and fussy cable channels, the entry door to the hallway didn’t work well and after being shown “the trick” I still couldn’t get it to work- extremely frustrating and the curtains to the HUGE patio door and windows, didn’t touch the ground so there were bright lights coming in the room all night long. I slept maybe 4 hours and I was only there to sleep after driving 7 hours and to drive another 7 the next day.

On my last night staying there, i had i think yhe owners daughter and a young man start knocking on my door at 8:30 at night. Telling me that I wasn't supposed to be there yet I showed them a key that had gotten from them the night before. She looked in her phone/ computer and said, oh, we refunded your money yet. No, they didn't. They had it already taken it out of my credit card. I had made reservations for Friday night and Saturday night, the morningstaff said I did not turn in my key or check out which I wasn't supposed to. Why should I check out of a hotel when I've already paid for it? The next day, Sunday I checked out gave them the key and went to another hotel that was more pleasant. The drawers in the room would not stay shut. They were ajar, you shut the drawers and they would just pop right back open.

The worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. The place is a dump the staff are rude and treated me and my family horribly. I requested to extend my stay and was told as long as I came to the office before 1130 I could keep the room. I arrived at 1115 and was told that the room was already rented and if I wanted to get another room to return at 3 pm I explained the arrangement I had with the manager

Manager was unprofessional. Became insulted when we told him his room was not worth renting. After he spent 10 minutes explaining why he deserved a deposit come to find out his room was so filthy unkept unclaimed and the entire building was unmaintained to the point that things were falling apart doors were falling off of hinges. Manager lied and was rude to my husband due to the fact that he's a smoker. If I could give this hotel a lower rating I would! And maybe cheap but it is not nice of any of the pictures.

Checked in after midnight & had to wait about 20 minutes for the clerk to show up. He did not explain that there was a heat pump & a radiator in the room & we were supposed to use the radiator for heat. Room was cold all night. When we checked out the older gentleman behind the desk was very rude in explaining to us that we were supposed to use the radiator for heat not the heat pump. Room wasn’t very clean

The evening registration gentleman on 2/8/24 was excellent. Check in took all of 2-3 minutes, from finding my reservation in the computer thru assigning a room, rules and regulations, WiFi, parking, room location, to handing over key cards he was professional but friendly, concise, efficient and informative. I did not have to ask a single question, he covered it all effectively. One of the best motel check ins I have ever had.

Its a decent hotel if price and availability are important to you short notice. The room was warm when I first walked in. Everything was clean. Its not a 5 star hotel, its the Econolodge for a reason. But quick and easy to get a room. Centralized in town. Has a laundry room (and 2 laundromats across the street), Sprouts supermarket and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. If you're into walking, the main casinos in Reno (Cal-Neva, Circus Circus, Silver Legacy etc.) are like a miles walk North. Overall 4 stars for me

The property is only 4,989 steps east of the Reno airport. Great location in the mid-city area of Reno, which is full of drink and restaurant choices and not far from the Reno Convention Center. The motel is a throw-back to another era but was a great value for the price. Not sure the heating-cooling system was working, but given the Reno weather this time of year that wasn't a problem..

Staff was great, room and space as expected, parking available. After a long trip, we were so glad to find an affordable room. But more glad to find an affordable room with hot water. We stayed at cleaner places with showers that did not reach even slightly hot - horrible. I would trade some renovations for hot water any day. Area around the property was a bit sketchy due to my observation of a few people who not only burrowed through the trash can, but seemed as though they did not have a room on the property. Not to be judgmental, but also to be judgmental when it comes to protecting my three kids. Will I stay at this facility again? Not a first choice, but yes. But I will keep my head on a swivel if my family is with me. Alone? Np.

Big room, nice balcony. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance, plus a good donut shop and two excellent coffee roasters! The trendy stretch of Virginia Street is less than a mile north (Midtown). The Peppermill Casino is an easy walk.

If you’re looking for “dirty and cheap” you found it. The bed was super uncomfortable, so much noise from other rooms, a solid 1/2” or more gap from under the door. I could never tell if my door was opening or if it was the neighbors door… the outside isn’t the safest area. Each time I walked to my vehicle I was harassed by weirdos in the parking lot. The only positive thing I can say is the water pressure was great. Definitely will not be back.

The employee at check in was uniquely awkward and the room we were assigned was incredibly noisy, right next to the hall entry door that was continually slammed all night long. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There is only coffee and tea for breakfast.

Friendly staff. The man running the connected pizza place seemed annoyed that I only asked for a soda. Room was clean. Mini fridge and microwave. It’s a pretty basic hotel. The bus line is super convenient to downtown.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times before and I have to say that improvements are being made but they still have a ways to go. My room was clean with a refrigerator and a coffee maker. The location is nice with an ihop and CVS just across the street. This hotel is the best value if you’re on a budget! The pizza restaurant just off r the lobby makes delicious pizza!
