DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport

The pool was nice. We had to try three floors to find a working ice machine. Also, the power was out in the morning.

Great property, easy to use shuttle & extended parking. Couldn’t ask for a better location close to food and the airport. Will be using this location for all future flights

This property was excellent except for the parking. The parking lot was overflowing. I asked the employee who checked us in where I could park since the parking lot was overflowing. He said that he didn’t know what was happening. We stayed at this property for two nights. This property is next to a community college. The students are parking in the hotel parking lot. If I, a paying hotel guest, was able to see what was happening, the hotel employees should know that it is the students that are taking up the parking spaces. I will not stay at this hotel again since the hotel employees didn’t want to be bothered with this issue and pretty much told me that the lack of parking spaces was my issue and not there issue. There are many hotels on that street. I will definitely stay in one of the other hotels that had parking availability.

Parking lot needs replacing

Web site advertised pool. But it was closed for repairs when we arrived. Felt that this should have been mentioned prior to booking.

We had to wait over 1 hour for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport

Nice staff. On -site bar but also other options close by. Room and property were clean and quiet. We were there for 3 nights. Free airport shuttle. Eggs N at next door was great for breakfast.

Staff and workout room was very convenient. Ice machine was broken and surrounding properties made travel congested in the morning.

At check in the hotel was nice and clean. Staff were friendly. The ac in the room did not cool well, so it was an uncomfortable night. None of the ice machines on any floor, and when we asked the feont desk, they said they had no access to ice.

Our bathroom floor and extended tile area was covered in sticky stuff. Urine was among these and out entire room smelled horribly of it. We had got in late and had a flight early we covered a path to the toilet with towels and made the best of it. Grossest bathroom I've ever dealt with and we travel frequently.

We had 2 rooms, one of them had dust bunnies or something, all over the bed. Shampoo and soap hadn't been filled. Water pressure was not great, hot water was hit or miss, actually it was never "hot". Parking was horrendous. We were there 2 nights and there wasnt a single parking spot available either night. People were creating spots on the lawn. Our first night there we returned to a very strong smell of weed in our room however we hadn't been there all day. We advised the person at the front desk that evening when we noticed and he didn't seem to be concerned. Sunday morning I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and she seemed more concerned. Then the building lost power. My son and his fiance had to carry all of their bags down the stairs and walk through the kitchen to get out. On our way home we were discussing the hotel and they felt that someone had been in their room on Saturday when we were gone as they had turned all lights off when they left and came back to the room that evening and all of the lights were on. It def was not housekeeping as nothing was straightened up, linens were not changed, and garbage was not emptied. We noticed the same thing when we returned however it appeared someone had used the bathroom in our room. We are coming back to Pittsburg the end of July and will not be staying here again.

Really great location near the airport, with a free shuttle service. The room was really big, clean with a spacious and modern bathroom as well.

Hotel was difficult to get to. There was mold in the shower just below the faucet. The carpet was sticky in the room. There ended up being a rat in our room on the 2nd floor. Ended up locking the rat in the bathroom and checking out 5 hours after checking in. I’ll never go back to this hotel.

Staff were okay but the facility is outdated and unclean. They never came to clean our room for 3 nights. I left an item in the room realizing 30 minutes after I checked out, I called front desk informed them and I was told I’ll get a call back if they found it which they didn't call back butI’m sure they found my stuff and decided to keep it. We’ll never return to this premises again!

The hotel was clean, and in a decent area. The only problem I had was that the floor wasn't vacuumed thoroughly. There was a shrimp tail and other crumbs under the desk in the room. The bathroom was very small also. The power temporarily went out early in the morning, but was restored about 20 minutes later.

Little ants on bathroom floor and at doorway. When told desk at checkout he brushed it off.

Great bed. Good soundproofing except for kids running in halls, loud door locking and doors slamming. But still all good.

Hi noise floor from airport; adjacent room doors (meaning, other people's rooms) on floor close very loudly, enough to wake one from sleep. Minor problem with room amenities: not enough towels stocked for reservation. Also, we received a handicap accessible room "because that's all they had left" even though we did not request that and made the reservation well in advance. No free breakfast, but that's no big deal. Clean and safe. In a word, average, but not exceptional.

Pros: Looks updated, nice restaurant on-site, great location. Try the ‘Drink Me Potion’ martini at the bar. Cons: The thermostat and hvac in the room did not work properly; the unit ran non-stop but the room stayed a constant 75 and humid. It was also extremely loud, to the point of waking us up at night. It severely needed maintenance. The bathroom, was updated in terms of tile work and vanity. However, the shower had almost no water pressure and the shower head was skipped in the update. The sink also had no pressure for hot water. The hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub area, but it was closed for renovations. Renovations are fine, but we chose the hotel to use these features and no mention of them being closed was on the site or their listing. The housekeeping staff was friendly but disregarded the door hanging asking them to not service the room on day 2. Then on day 3, our check out day, housekeeping again tried to enter our room before checkout time. I was very upset with this because I was changing in the room and had said ‘don’t open the door’ when she had knocked. The front desk was apologetic but I was truly upset that something like that was pushed aside - a real boundary was crossed. Will we stay again? I would say yes - but I truly hope these reviews are not overlooked and effort is put into remedying the issues.

Front desk was fine. Thermostat in room stuck at about 85degrees. Lowered to 65 with no change.

Something wrong with the air, we could not turn our heat down below 78 degrees and roasted all night. The parking area is a bit run down. Staff was nice and seemed clean. Just didnt get any sleep roasting away up there.

3pm check-in and no room was available until 730pm

I asked for a wakeup call but didn't get one.

They took my reservation but did not actually hold the reservation. I arrived late at night to find they had over booked and had no room for me. They sent me out to a sub-par hotel a short drive away that smelled of smoke and moisture and was certain not the quality of the doubletree. The doubletree front desk was curt and deadpan, and told me that they gave it away because I'd reserved on a third party site. Disappointed in Doubletree.

Everything was fine until the morning of my flight to return home. I scheduled my daughters and I a shuttle service at 4:00am. Our flight was at 6am. The entire reason I booked with Hilton was because of the convenience of the shuttle to the airport at such an early morning. I was told to arrive 10 mins early. We decide to arrive 15 minutes early. At 4:05am no shuttle had arrived. The front desk person kept telling us he would be there in another 5 mins and after 30 minutes of waiting we get told Sorry we don’t have a ride for you. The shuttle hit a deer. I would’ve definitely understood and booked my uber right away but the fact that we were told to wait and then told there was no ride for us after 30 mins was stressful. Thankfully we made it to the airport before boarding started. If this would’ve happened to someone who didn’t have access to uber or know how to even use the app they would’ve missed their flight. Your front desk worker did not even ask us if there was anything he could do to help. That was the only thing that bothered me other than that the hotel was great.

this is the second time we have stayed here and both times the staff is not very helpful. They are always in a hurry to get done with you and leave out informtion or don't

This hotel is on fire with Marriott. I hardly ever stay at the Doubletree, but let me tell you something. If you are visiting Pittsburgh and need a clean, nice, and affordable place to stay, this is definitely your number one choice! Paige was amazing, coordinated my late check out and shuttle while dealing with the impact of the Microsoft outage. Her poise and professionalism while meeting the needs of stranded travelers was truly outstanding. Give her a raise or atleast reward her for her efforts especially for this day.

Loved the cookies! Everything was super nice and clean. The only thing we didn’t like is when we checked in, we were told the hotel bar was open until midnight. We came back to go to it and it was closed.

Didn’t receive cookies because they were out. Limited food options because they were out of almost everything. Drink came incorrectly. Had to get salmon and it was tiny.

Very friendly shuttle bus driver. Pleasant, comfortable hotel. Great Old Fashioned cocktail in the bar. Good breakfast, on china, with real utensils. Happy camper.

I could not take breakfast, even if prepaid, because there was nothing to go. And the hotel was unable to offre me a solution nor to deduct the cost of beakfast (30$ paid for nothing….)

Standard but the restaurant was messy and only one waiter for food and drinks.

We used to love to stay here when they had Jackson’s . The food was always great. We had dinner at Caroline’s . Worse meal we ever had. Also this is the 2nd time I’ve paid in advance and they have charged my card again when we check in

I booked a last minute stay for a quick weekend and I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was excellent and the on-site restaurant had a great selection of foods to choose from for dinner. I would most definitely book another stay at this property in the future.

Disappointing Stay – Would Pass in the Future Unfortunately, this property did not meet expectations. The breakfast buffet was unappetizing, and the overall feel of the hotel was run-down. No room service was available, and basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner were missing from the room. On a positive note, the signature DoubleTree cookie was delicious — but sadly, that was the highlight. I’d pass on staying here again.

Pros: very clean hotel with large rooms and comfortable beds. Cons: the shower drain did not work properly and breakfast is not included. It is an additional $16 per person.
