DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown

Location is loud bc it’s right by the highway and I not only requested and paid more for a king bed but received a room with two fulls for one (rather large) person. Despite politely asking the front desk to correct the error I was politely refused any support. Also my room was oddly shaped and cramped. Only highlight - the gym was fantastic. Which I rarely say for hotel gyms.

Valet parking was a joke. If it wasn’t for the front desk check in employee who was great ,I would have given the whole stay one star.

Parking was an issue. There was a long wait to get your car. They may have to move several other cars to access your car. Our room was supposed to have a refrigerator. When we inquired they said they would bring one but it might not work. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean.

Was upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff.

In town for a graduation, this hotel felt ver centrally located and safe. It is largely self service - we managed our own luggage with a luggage cart - but the front desk staff was very helpful in suggesting local restaurants.
