Inside was cool with all the greenery and trees/plants, water and fish. The building is old and rooms were decent but a bit run down. Indoor pool was cold…heater wasn’t working properly but the kids still had a blast, they are older 7 and 10 so they can handle it. On the upside they have complimentary alcoholic drinks and snacks in the evening and the complimentary breakfast was really good.

Our room had curtains/curtain rod hanging off the wall. Reported. Had to have maintenance coma and repair. The managers greeting hour daily in the evening is appetizers and drinks. Basically hot sauce and chips. Not sanitary looking at all. Everything looked old and run down. Went to use the business center. Computers not working. Nobody could fix them. Overall disappointing.

I stay here often because of the indoor pool and proximity to family. I usually encounter some issue. This time the air conditioner was not working as effectively as it should, there mold in the bathroom and the bathtub did not drain.

The rooms are rundown and need updating. The couches and chairs are dirty and need replacing. Lots of signs of wear and tear. We tried to use the hot tub but it was just as cold as the pool. The staff was great! All of the staff i interacted worth was friendly, helpful, and worked hard. The bar area is beautiful- the rooms just need updating

The property shows its age. For cleanliness I would rate it zero. The guy at the counter was great to help with going around Lubbock. The highest grade goes to Mr Water GM of catering/Restaurant who took extra effort to provide us Vegan breakfast every morning. The Breakfast area staff was super.

The staff was great! Breakfast was good! Food at bar was good but pricey. The rooms smelled stuffy and kind of smelled of mildew. The hotel had a strong antiseptic smell to it. If you asked me if I would stay there again, I’d say no.

Hotel called and said we no longer have your selected room available. What? They said because room was booked through Hotels.com only "a room" was guaranteed, not the room I'd selected. They offered a free snack if we chose a different type room. I requested a credit for price difference ($50) which they finally agreed to. Upon arrival, the room was dirty, the shower moldy, furniture scratched, holes in carpet. I called desk and said, this room is filthy and should not even be rentable and requested a different room but they said, sorry last room, nothing we can do. I stay here 5-8 times a year if available booked through hotels.com but having 2nd thoughts about the hotel and using hotels.com for future travel if this is the kind of service that I can expect!

The hotel rooms need some updating. Furniture old and worn; bathroom/ shower area is old and small. Beds were comfortable and breakfast good. Like the lobby/bar area but open til midnight and loud on our first night for the person sleeping on the couch. Should at least have the guests in the bar area keep it down after a certain time. We changed rooms for out 2nd night

Staff was great. The main issue was the age of the overall facilities. Furniture was falling apart. My wife was cut by a metal piece coming off one of the queen beds. Toliet seat was cracked so the way through... to be clear, we stay here 4 to 5 times a year. We have seen the "needs" continue to grow. Again, staff was great! And overall value was great! I know a major renovation cost double given the lost revenue while work is commencing. Plus rates may/will go up. So tough...my family still enjoys the Embassy/Barcelona more than the Overton or others in the area.

This is our go to place when travelling to CO or doing research at Tech. Some of the rooms are getting a little tired - carpet wrinkled, missing coffee table, outlets that don't work, etc. Still a great value.

Clean room , friendly staff , breakfast was great ! Only hard part is it was alittle loud until about 1am , and you could hear cars on the highway. we are used to being asleep by 1030. But everything else was amazing! Very happy with our stay

The property was very dark inside including the rooms. It didn't look like it had ever been updated. Our room needed painting and the furniture looked very old and scuffed up. I have been to other Embassy Suites and they were very nice. Not what I expected from an Embassy Suites.

Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and bed was very comfortable. A little tall but still comfortable. The room temperature took a little adjustment as it was humid initially but I figured it out. I didn't like that towels were not replaced when I left my used ones on the floor. I guess replaced towels has to be directly asked or stated to the front desk or house keeping. But overall it was a great stay and I would stay there again should I ever find myself in Lubbock for an overnight or longer stay..worth the money..

The hotel is really center located and very friendly staff. Just a few concerns about front office staff. They got a call and was arguing with a guest about canceling their reservation. They could have just finished with us and then resolve that issue. My keys didn't work several times and went up and told them my first name and they gave me a key. They should require to see a Driver's License. Breakfast was great and loved the facility. Thanks,

Check in was at 4 pm. We arrived at 4:15 and they told us our rooms were not ready. It was a family trip so we had 4 rooms. After 15 minutes, we were told they were inspecting them it would be a few minutes. At 4:50, I went to check what was taking so long and we were then told that the rooms would not be ready for another hour. I then asked to speak to a manager and they said there was not one on site. We were told that they were short handed and some teams did not check out on time. After a few minutes she said she could get us in some other rooms. I can say the breakfast was good.

Our check in time was delayed by an hour. They didn’t offer anything while we waited, just said leave a number we’ll call you. They didn’t call, I just happened to go up to the desk to ask an unrelated question and the woman working at the desk said the room was ready. She also wasn’t rude but came across a little short - probably because people were annoyed at delayed check-ins but that wasn’t our fault.

This hotel is showing its age, although for the most part it still looks pretty good. We stayed in a corner suite, which is the best room at the hotel according to the front desk. Despite this, there were stains on the chairs and the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. It's an old school Embassy, so it has an open atrium. At night it was quite nice, with ambient lighting and quiet music over the PA system. The bar was not a good experience, however. Twice I went down at about 8:45pm and was ignored by the bartender. Both times, after about 15 minutes of sitting there I had to flag the bartender down. The second night the bartender chatted up a small group of other customers, repeatedly walking by me without acknowledging me. I bartended for 31 years - this is not how bar service is supposed to be done. We've stayed here several times over the past couple of years. It's unlikely we'll stay there ever again.

Rooms on the freeway side are a little noisy but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had lots of choices but the cooked to order omlettes were the best! The atrium is beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.

It was honestly one of the best days I have ever experienced. The only issue I had it was really hard to find a parking or to even access the parking lot without having to go completely around the highway to make a U-turn because it’s only on a one-way street. Other than that, the hotel itself and staff was remarkable.

This property is quite dated. The furniture is beat up and scuffed. Bathroom was very small. Staff were awesome, and the food and happy hour were great! The kids said it felt like a very fancy hotel. Close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Convenient and right off the highway. Overall we had a great stay!

The staff is outstanding in all areas. The hotel has a neat design and is beautiful. We loved our room and it gave us and our son privacy at night. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best we have had in all our stays at hotels. Definitely will stay again if ever in Lubbock.

Breakfast was excellent. Very much expected at Embassy Suites. This is a very low tech hotel. Standard outlets but if you have high tech devices such as phones, hearing aids, any USB items that need to be recharged then bring USB hubs with enough ports. They advertise an Italian restaurant, Just plan on expensive bar food. Misleading. Disappointing.
