We absolutely LOVED this place! Amazing and attentive staff, beautiful views from the awesome pool, food everywhere was delicious (especially the Geneva Chophouse), rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel special. Kaitlin at the reception desk checked us in and she was so friendly and helpful. Greg at the pool bar was also wonderful. Brian was our waiter at the Chophouse and he was very personable and answered all of our questions. The piano entertainment each evening in the lobby was great, particularly the man who played Thursday evening 8/7 - I didn’t get his name but he was phenomenal! When we had a small problem with our key, Brandon from security came to help us and for our trouble he even gave us vouchers for free drinks and ice cream. From the moment we stepped into the lobby and were greeted with complimentary champagne, to the time we sadly stepped out of the hotel to go home, we enjoyed every minute of our time at Grand Geneva Resort!

Love the grounds of the property. Love that they have an outdoor pool with bar/Resturant. And servers. Absolutely love that the pool is heated. I love the fireworks on Sunday evenings it’s a great touch. Wish the indoor pool was a little bit more up-to-date. I wish there was a bathroom by the pool or outdoor area. Kind of inconvenient that you have to go inside and it’s not very close to the pool makes it hard for people with children.

Love it here! Older property but they seem to be slowly renovating the buildings and updating units. We loved the tennis courts, spa, golf range, and outdoor shared fire pits. Bought a s’mores kit from the store. Loved their candy and ice cream selection. Buffet is not worth it especially for kids. Golf club lunch is great. All staff were amazing. We had a regular pickleball group get on our court before our time was up and one woman was verbally rude to my child. The staff comped our tennis time and even went and spoke to the member. She had told us to “go back where we came from.” Unacceptable behavior but we felt the staff handled it well. Our massages were awesome as always, but the hot tub in the women’s locker area was not working. A pump was out. Indoor pool is freezing so you can have it all to yourself. lol. Good for a quick weekend getaway/

We enjoyed the spa and athletic facility. The outdoor pool is very nice. We had to use the indoor pool due to weather and it is nice however, very dated overall. The restaurant food was good but, the overall service was bad. We had to wait a long time for a wait staff to notice us and take our order (2 different times during our stay). The front desk staff and adventure center did not know much about the property amenity details such as if bikes were available to rent. People working the desks should know all the details of the resort when it comes to activity inquiries.

Grand Geneva excellent place to stay. It is about 5 minutes from Main Street and the lake, but the resort itself has everything you need. Fantastic restaurants and bar, fitness center, 2 golf courses that are very manicured, outdoor walking trail, horseback riding. Will definitely visit again.

Really nice resort. Had a great stay. Traveled with our 2 kids who loved the indoor and outdoor pool. Great resort. Beautiful golf course and views. Rooms were very nice and clean. Steak house was ok, not a bad option if you don’t want to leave the resort. 10 min from the downtown area. Will definitely come back. Fireworks every Sunday in the summer which was very nice. Overall loved staying here and will be back.

The facilities at Grand Geneva were wonderful including the golf, fitness center and the pool. Our room looked recently renovated and the bed was comfortable with very nice linens. We hope to be back!

We had an awful stay at this property. While the room was nice and clean, the pool was dirty. The kiddie pool barely had any water in it, not enough to reach the skimmers. Still water, ankle deep. No fun at all. The main pool was closed on a Sunday because there was poop floating in the water. On a Saturday night someone pulled a fire alarm at 11:30 pm. That alarm went off for 30 minutes, disturbing our sleep and our toddler. The only solution the front desk offered is to leave the property until it was silenced. How unprofessional. The food at the pool area was awful, just disgustingly awful. I won't be back and do not recommend this property.

Somehow our reservation was lost. We booked two rooms, one for a friend and one for ourselves. Only our friend was found, depots it being booked at same time from same account. The people checking us in were rude and disrespectful. We had to push to get them to research. They also weren’t apologetic after finally finding it. Also the hot tub was filthy, water was opaque and grey.

The property is beautiful and has a lot to offer in the way of food, entertainment and activities; however, they need to work on their housekeeping and general cleanliness in the rooms and bathrooms. It is a large property and perhaps they need more staff but for the price you pay, you shouldn't see things like hair on the bed, towels, water marks on glasses, dust and hair on the furniture, empty shower gel in the bathroom, etc.

It was our first time staying at the Resort. We were impressed by how many chairs were outside for poolside. The room and resort were very clean. Staff was the best! Really enjoyed the fireworks!! We felt the pricing in the restaurants was a bit steep for a family staying multiple days. We did not use the Spa facility or the golf course but will check the Spa out the next time we come on New Years Eve. Could use updates in the stair well areas and handrails could be updated, still feels a bit 80's-90s Loved the large firepit at night after dinner, it was our go to! Thanks for such a fun experience

We did not get an upper room and away from noise, as requested, at all. Very noisy 2nd floor, so they moved us. Since we paid for lake side, we had to take the bottom level. It was musty smelling and everything was wet, from the low ground level and near a cement wall on the other side. Also, not their fault, wet outside, so lots of bug bites from being outside on the "patio" - for the fireworks (which were amazing)

We really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of restaurants and amenities. The grounds were very pretty. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. The sparkling wine upon arrival was a nice touch. I have only one critique - the hallways are confusing, and there are lots of stairs. There are elevators at the ends of the halls, but they are confusing too. Overall, we really liked the hotel, now that we understand the layout. We will stay there again.

The Grand Geneva Resort was not so grand. The room itself was nice, but we got the party room next to the night club. One would hope for $500 a night we could get sleep after midnight. The staff was not very friendly. And our patio ceiling looked like it was going fall in. Outdated and not worth the money.

I originally given a third floor room with a parking lot view. I did go back to the desk and another person gave me a room across the hall with a view. The property is beautiful. I did not use the pool, because it was crowded with kids. Loved the fireworks and the pianist. I lost my connection to the internet. Some one came up to help. I questioned why it wasn’t a secure connection and told not to worry. (?) I lost my WiFi connection again that day and my last day. Very disappointed with that. A new msid came to clean my room early on my last day. She wanted to come in and start cleaning while we were still there. I suspected that she wanted to take the tip that was for the woman, what had cleaned my room each day. (?)

Check in was at 4 which is pretty late. Hotel lobby was beautiful but the room was very disappointing for 400 dollars. No mini bar, loveseat in the room was dirty and old. Room was very dark. Nice linens on the bed though. For the money I expected a lot more. Would definitely visit the hotel again but probably wouldn’t stay there.

Check-in couldn’t be easier. Our room is as nice as we remember it from before. The living space is getting a little worn down, but the bathrooms are beautifully updated. We are eating at the chophouse again, and the menu might even be better than last year. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees. We never said a word and Complimentary dessert was sent over because the manager noticed how long it took. We never would’ve said a thing, but the fact that he saw a pause in service, and acted on it, goes way beyond any wait . And that was not even a problem for us! Attention to Detail is outstanding here !

Although it's a lovely property, it feels overcrowded, like they are cramming in as many people as possible into each space. The lobby had a line 15 people long at 4 pm for check in and our room wasn't ready until 5:30. While front desk was nice about it and offered us a dining credit and late check out, the late check out didn't help.

We chose to celebrate our 30th birthday here, and I wanted to love this place but the experience just wasn't great. Check-in was at 4p. I called in the morning to see if we could request an early check-in, they declined, and said I could only make the request once I got there. We arrived about 2:30p, asked again, they said that our villa would be ready in 30 minutes and that I would receive a text. The worker confirmed my number by reading it to me. By 4:45p, I still hadn't received anything and had called the desk twice. They said they were just behind. Our dinner reservation was at 6p, and nobody was ready at this point, so we were getting nervous. I called again, and the worker, Janet, said that they never had my phone number because of hotels.com; which isn't correct because the previous worker read my information to me at check-in. Everything was spread out and scattered. Workers looked panicked but were handing out champagne to keep people calm. The resort is also super spread out for it being freezing outside. I much prefer the Osthoff Resort a bit north and would recommend that any day over this. The customer service from the front desk was rude and blamed me for their problems, the layout of the villa was backwards with rooms downstairs and the kitchen/living room upstairs, the TV was basic cable vs. smart TV options. I could go on. I would expect way better than all of the above issues for $1,100+ a night that was paid.

We really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of restaurants and amenities. The grounds were very pretty. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. The sparkling wine upon arrival was a nice touch. I have only one critique - the hallways are confusing, and there are lots of stairs. We came on 11/29 and slid on the road into the resort which is very hilly and was not paved recently at all at 3:45 pm. When I told the check-in staff that I was worried our tire maybe flat in the am they didn’t apologize or offer any help without me specifically asking if they could help if we needed assistance- it was a full blown storm! We were disappointed that this year we did not receive chocolates or champagne upon arrival- we stayed Thanksgiving weekend last year and got both! Our room was much smaller, yet more expensive and had a patio instead of a balcony. Little things like 4 guests, but we were given 2 washcloths only and had to call wasted time. When you pay over 250 dollars for one night you expect outstanding service. The decorations were beautiful as usual, and are a huge draw for us

My fiancé and I had an amazing time staying here. The Christmas decorations were amazing and the piano player was a nice touch in the lobby to listen to while sitting by the fire!! The restaurant food was incredible!!

The property was Absolutely Gorgeous,.. The pool was small given the size, .. Really cramped, .. Food at the Chophouse was barely good, .. 1st day, 2nd day we had takeout and the order was completely wrong the steak was beyond well-done when we asked for medium-rare, they gave us the wrong sides, and there was a strong vinegar taste! Terrible food -I called the hotel -They took my name, address, and phone number but two days have passed and I haven't heard anything yet, ...???.. The room we thought we reserved wasn't at all as described, .. We found ourselves over-Looking the top of there roof - no water view! I initially was impressed at check-in with acknowledgment of my wife's birthday but that's kinda where it ended! 3 out of 10 Stars

Bar area is horrible for conversation and wait staff was terrible service. Carlin lookalike bartender made more noise than the drummer (as a former bartender and waiter i would know). Grand Cafe wait staff was wonderful so it kind of balanced out. Desk staff were very good.

The room was nice. We went at 5:00 pm to eat and there was absolutely no space to eat and we were told they were all booked up. The bar area was packed and there service was very slow and the staff at the bar were rude. The rest of the staff was wonderful. 2 hours after waiting we actually left to eat. It was very cold out and we didnt realize we had to walk across parking lots onto a different parking lot to the spa.
