The only thing I was disappointed about was that we requested a room with an oven and were told we'd likely get it, and then we didn't. The elevators also sometimes take a long time to the higher floors - some don't even go to the 4th floor. The second day we had to go to the desk to ask for coffee as that wasn't refilled. We got engaged there, but there were no extra add ons at all. It was very good overall - the location is wonderful, and the indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub are great!

I really liked this hotel but very disappointed that the hot tubs didn’t work. Both inside and outside were broken. The only thing I was really looking forward to was sitting in a hot tub having a cocktail and the outside bar seemed to not be running anymore and with the hot tubs being broken I was very disappointed. I wasn’t told until checking out that I could have gone to the hotel next door and used their pools and hot tubs. When asked for a credit, they said no.

Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Its a studio suite with a whirlpool tub, My husband and I slept like a baby. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. They're all in good condition. I like the gym most because its well equipped and they've newer machines with generous towels and Culligan water. The bathroom sink could be updated as well. The kitchen is a great asset. The room has no smell and I like the non carpet floors. there is an attached restaurant with reasonably priced delicious food. Location is perfect. Staff are very nice.

'Resort' is a bit of a stretch- our patio furniture is made of PVC pipe and smelled strongly of cigarettes. Other resorts I've visited provided robes as well, which would have been nice. I appreciate that they are trying to keep the pool exclusive to guests, but asking us to wear paper wristbands in the water and sunbathing felt uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Pros: It is extremely close to everything. The pool is very nice. I loved that frozen drinks were by the pool. Extremely relaxing outside. Cons: The pillows to the bed were extremely comfortable; however the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I felt like i could feel the box spring & extremely noisy just by sitting on the bed. The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it. The bathroom was disgusting. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, in the shower & on the walls. It makes me question if the bathroom was even cleaned. There are NO safes in the rooms to put your valuables. The bed is right next to the door as soon as you walk in. The air conditioner is on the opposite side of the whole room in the living room. It was very hot on some nights. The air conditioner really needs to be closer to the bedroom. The remote barely worked as the batteries were dying. When you call down; it takes a long time to get someone. Staff double booked my room & stated it was a management error. By hauling all my luggage & them double booking my room; i had to cancel my dinner rvsp. It wasted an hour & 20 min of my trip. I feel some staff members were attentive to the guest & others i felt didnt care about their customers. I could tell certain staff members sincerely care. I was extremely disappointed with this trip. It wasnt what i was expecting. I hope they do better or they might lose excellent clients.

When we first got into the room it was quite lovely... kind of reminded us of a small apartment. But then as we got settled in, there were ants everywhere around the baseboards and in the living area. They were also crawling all over the nightstands in the bedroom. When we asked the front desk what was going on/if they could do anything for us, they told us they knew it was a problem and probably due to the weather. You think you could have told us this when we were checking in?! Then, multiple electrical outlets in the unit did not work... we had to search around to find one that would work so we could change our phones! We then went downstairs (as it was my BF first time here) so I could show him the pool, game room, etc and there was a NAKED man... I mean, fully nude (not just cheeks) standing outside someone\'s room (whether his or someone else\'s I have no idea). He seemed high or drunk... didn\'t stick around to find out. We alerted the front desk and yes, they were "going to take care of it" but again, we were not compensation at all for any inconvenience during our stay. Needless to say we stayed here during their renovations, ants, naked people, etc and not one apology from the front staff or reimbursement for inconvenience. We would not recommend this hotel and/or stay here again! Just terrible.

We stayed in an anchor suite. For our wedding anniversary. The bed is right when you walk in and we need to sleep more cold. The air unit was across the room, there for we didn’t sleep well. We were warm and heard people above us walking around all night. It wasn’t quiet. The bed was uncomfortable. The coffee maker was broke, the carpet was gross, the closet door was hanging off, my husband fixed it. There was dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The pool outside had dirty water, lots of leafs, bugs and wrappers in the water. Definitely wasn’t what we expected. Pretty disappointed.

Within two hours of being there my 18 month old granddaughter’s socks got filthy. With as dirty as her socks got so quick, that floor hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, which to me, is inexcusable.

Balcony was filthy, wouldn’t use it was so bad. No remote for main living area. When called front desk was told to “snuggle up in bed to watch tv” Unbelievable! Later found the remote in the main bathtub! The location was great but would have to think hard about staying here again!

Room was very clean, if a bit dated. Gave it some charm. Bathroom was newly remodeled, but shower water pressure was not very good. Shower door had some moister warping. WiFi signal all but disappeared near the window. Staff was exceptional at check-in / check-out. Would come back here.

We’ve stayed at The Cove many times and always have such a wonderful time in Lake Geneva. The location and overall experience are great, and it’s a place we truly enjoy coming back to. My only wish is that some of the rooms were more updated, especially considering how high the rates can be during peak season. A few feel a bit dated or worn, but other than that, we always enjoy our stays here.

The room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think this is much more of a family hotel than it is a place where couples would go. Unfortunately, even with light darkening curtains, the light from the balcony shown above and below the curtains to the point where it was difficult to sleep, and the mattress itself was not particularly supportive. So although I think this is probably a great family, friendly hotel, it really wasn’t for us.

This is a great location just super dated. Great to fit 4-6 people but no privacy king bed is right when you walk in no door. Upstairs loft no door. Open area can see light downstairs and hear noise. Couch was dated. They have kitchen with bar top and 4 regular table chairs so they don’t reach the barstools. Wish it was nicer. Affordable

We stayed for 7 nights at the Cove. Upon arrival everything seemed great. The room was very spacious. The next morning however, niether my husband or I could move normally. The bed in the room was so broken that every bone in our bodies hurt. The side my husband was on was sinking in so badly that he could easiley have rolled off.

The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The desk staff worked with us to accommodate a king size bed for us. We liked the full size fridge and little bar that you could sit at in the kitchen. The only downside of the room was that there was no way to shut the balcony light off and even with room-darkening shades, the light shined into the bedroom. It also made sitting on the balcony less cozy. Overall, great place! Will return.

The location of this property is fantastic as very central to water and to the main part of town. However, we were quite disappointed in the service and quality of the hotel given the price. We were 2 hours early to check-in, which was no issue and the woman at the counter said she would call when the room was ready as we flew in from London. We did not hear from the hotel and at 4pm (check in time) we were told our room had been ready since 3pm but we did not get a call. Then in the room, we had a remote no batteries, dirty dishes and when we opened up the sofa bed we found dirty/stained bedding on the bed and we had to make up our own sofa bed. It was terrible. I would be leary of staying here in the future.

I was very disappointed in this property. First the staff wasn’t helpful at all they all seem to have an attitude. Than they put an 250 dollar hold on my card on top of the 50 dollar result fee and the price of the stay. While we was there the fire alarm went off for about 30 mins maybe a longer and even than the staff was not helpful. They didn’t let us know what was going on and when I asked I was made to seem like I was bothering them. It was children running around all night and day. We will not be returning.

Room still had previous people's leftover food in the refrigerator. Bathroom had hair all over the toilet. Whirlpool inside did not work and was filthy both days. We checked in at 4 and our room was not ready until 5:30. We had a boat tour reservation that we missed because we needed to get into our room first. Money was lost. Would not stay here again.

I rented & requested 2 king suites for a 2 day corporate gathering on the lake with the understanding that when you choose a one bedroom you are not guaranteed a king, it may be a queen sized bed. 1 suite was beautiful hardwood flooring modern updated decor & furnishings with an actual king sized bed. Unfortunately this was not my suite. We were given a carpeted suite with a "barnyardy" smell to it. Also with a Double bed, not a queen. My husband slept on the sofa( we are not large people lol). There was a party upstairs at 230 am that awoke us due musical chairs being played on the wooden deck above my bedroom window & a "gentleman" throwing beercans up to the balcony. Not pleasant. Next morning SOPHIA at front desk made it right, called in a Mgr, found a king suite and delivered the most outstanding customer service I have ever received at a hotel. We travel locally & internationally many times a year. Kudos to Sophia! Suggestion, when renting an "owner owned" hotel room, call & ask what exactly you're getting.

Pros: This property maintains cleanliness very well. The pool area and its bathrooms are kept clean. This hotel is a great place for a little family getaway. It's very convenient to stay in. It's a 7 min walk to Riviera Beach. No need to worry about finding parking. Everything is walking distance from this location. Cons: Front desk staff needs work on their customer service. They just simply don't look like they want to be there and don't care. I had to ask for room service multiple times during the day (virtual chat, via phone which no one answers, and going to the front desk x2), and ended up with no room service that day. Virtual assistance was inconsistent. They only respond on the first day you check in. Front desk tells you to call but no one answers. They just give you excuses rather than solutions. Overall this place is a great place to stay but they really need to work on their front desk customer service and communication. Their overall facial expressions says it all.

I had stayed at the Cove years ago, and it's definitely been updated since then. You can't beat the location, and the pool was not overly busy with plenty of seats to choose from. The rooms were plenty big. Will definitely be back

First time actually staying in the town of lake geneva. My stay at the Cove was awesome. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very sizeable and cleanly suites. And everything was walkable to explore, from the Cove!!!!! Highly recommend the Cove of Lake Geneva, will be back soon 😀 😎. Thank you Cove, one of my best vacations 😀 🙌

I liked the balconies and the spaciousness of the suites, with lots of privacy for friends sharing the space. I am disappointed that there is no breakfast included, nor even any available. There is a restaurant on the property, but it does not open until lunchtime. Seems odd for such a large facility. It is a bit inconvenient that the hotel takes up an entire city block, but one can only enter or exit the parking lot from one street. It also seems unusual that there is no information about the hotel and its amenities in the rooms. Everything is trial and error and wandering around. The only thing that had special instructions was a stack of pool towels. So a lot of mystery and mostly no great inconvenience, but access to breakfast and lobby availability of coffee are usual in hotels and missing here. Perfect walkable location, though.

We are three ladies who needed a get away. We had a blast here. The one bedroom suite with living room and kitchen and pullout bed worked out well. Very nice updated room. We used the pool. We used the little cafe by the lobby. All great. We ate the attached restaurant. It was excellent and inexpensive! We could walk to all the shops , restaurants and lake path. Super convenient!

Never been to a "resort" that won't let you bring a drink from the bar to the restaurant. Or a drink from the restaurant to the pool. Or a drink from the pool to the hotel. Apparently they have 4 different liquor licenses, was the reason for all of this nonsense. Would not let us us pool towels to take across the street to the beach. We were told "you can buy towels at the gift shop". Would search all bags and coolers anytime you enter the pool area. Not to look for glass but to look for any alcohol at all. Cannot bring any of your own drinks to the pool...again I have never been to a "resort" like this. Kids asked if there were toys for the pool, they were told "no, they might be in storage but you can buy some at the gift shop". Not very accommodating for guests. You have to pay extra to order food at the pool to have the restaurant bring it to you. If you order it yourself at the restaurant and walk it over yourself you save the fee and the mandatory gratuity. The Arcade room is about 6 claw machines and Mrs. PacMan. Fitness center was good but small. Some employees would be accommodating only until a supervisor would step in and say "no you cannot do that" Location is great, that's the main reason we picked it. We will try other accommodations next trip, for resort fees I expect resort accomodations.

I was disappointed with this hotel. Our room had a very odd unpleasant odor. Both the indoor and outdoor hot tubs were closed and the expresso bar that was advertised was also closed despite signage saying that it would be open daily after Memorial Day.
