Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Lake Geneva Resort

Other than the sign in process, which was a little confusing due to the GPS and the address, the stay was very nice. The room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. The spa and workout facilities were clean and in good condition. Would go back again.

I was attending a retreat at the Grand Geneva Resort, which was a 3 minute drive away. I could have walked about 20 minutes or requested shuttle service from my room to the meeting room at the resort, but I was glad to have a rental car. I enjoyed walking for exercise and fun around the spectacularly beautiful golf course. If you are a swimmer, bring a cap and goggles because Grand Geneva has a very nice indoor lap pool. Vacation club guests have access to all resort amenities except for outdoor pools (everyone uses the outdoor pool closest to their room). I wish I had taken full advantage of the spa. Everything was wonderful, especially the staff. The only minor issues were that the tea kettle was burnt on the inside and the garbage disposal was not working well. I was in room 536. I didn't give the property the highest score for eco-friendliness because there was no place to recycle.

We were at the holiday inn which is part of a large group of buildings in a giant resort complex. have to get a shuttle bus from room to main building to swim or eat then shuttle back when done. for a significant amount of money more you can stay in main building.

The room we stayed in was very clean and modern. No complaints regarding the accommodations. Timber Ridge water park was kind of small, very crowded, and expensive for staying on campus. It was very difficult to get a tube to float on in the lazy river, and the towels were tiny. The locker rooms were kind of gross and should have more frequent cleaning. Otherwise, the place was pretty nice with the rest of the amenities.

Elevator was broken in our building. Everything else was great.

I would have expected slightly better from Holiday. Our building was #2 and it was old and smaller than what I was expecting. Our friends booked the same room type and their rooms were 2x the size. Our air conditioner would only go as low as 68°, the ceiling fan in our living room didn’t work and it was hard to get extra supplies as housekeeping either wouldn’t answer or when they did they wouldn’t leave of you weren’t there. The room was damp feeling also even though we left exhaust fan on. Our friends Rooms were not like this. The pool area was great! Plenty of seating and tables. Very clean and always stocked with plenty of towels. Overall the stay was ok however for the price I am not sure I would return based on my experience.

Elevator was out of order & we had to haul everything up 3 flights of stairs. Room was wheelchair accessible so no tub, just a shower. Oven didn’t preheat & had no timer. Waterpark passes not included in the stay, even though we’re on the same property. Overall disappointing, checked out Sun night instead of staying til Mon morning.

We loved the location of the resort, off the path from the city for a peaceful stay but close enough to quick grab something if needed. The resort property was beautiful, although we didn’t get to try a lot of the amenities. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, coffee shop and the outdoor pool with the kids area. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Club section of the resort and weren’t impressed with the bed comfort (the mattress was very hard) and the pillows were too flat. Otherwise we loved our balcony overlooking the golf course and the rest of our stay and would consider staying again.

First time visit and had a relaxing time. Vacation club suites had full kitchen amenities. We brought our own grocery and prepared food which saved money. Free shuttle on and off the grounds and a cute trolley. Bad weather during our visit so didn't get to enjoy horse back riding. Salon, spa and fitness clubs on grounds as well.

The hotel room was clean with a newly remodeled kitchen, large bathroom, and comfortable bed! The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes and utensils that you might need. It was luxurious to stay at the Holiday Inn at the Grand. To get to the indoor pool you would need to take the trolley or drive which is rather inconvenient. There is only one small outdoor pool for 6 buildings. I loved the balcony, except that there were smokers in a nearby unit which took away from enjoying my coffee in the fresh air.

My stay was amazing very clean relaxing and peaceful overall very nice place

Flies and small black bugs in the room. Not very clean, lots of dust on top of the fridge and a few other areas. Poor water pressure in the shower. Only 1 packet of coffee in the room for a two night stay, and the quality of that coffee was really poor. Tracking down my receipt after checking out was a pain in the rear as both hotels.com and the property said each other would provide. Finally had to step it up to a manager after I returned home just to get a receipt for my expense report. I don’t fill many of these surveys out so hopefully this helps you improve.

The staff were all super friendly and responsive to any questions or needs we had. The hallways and window sills in the hallways in building 6 need dusting and cleaning. Our room was very clean although had a slight bad odor on entering. Welll supplied unit.

The accommodations were more like a stylish one-bedroom apartment than a hotel room. Soaker tub off of the bedroom and spacious walk-in shower in the bathroom were wonderful. It’s possible to bring food from home and cook at the apartment if you’d like, but there are many restaurants nearby, too, and at the resort. Downtown Lake Geneva and Riviera Beach are about a 10-minute drive away. We also had access to the indoor pool at Grand Geneva Resort, which was large and enjoyable. We are very likely to return.

This is my second time staying here with my family. I absolutely love this hotel and would love to retire here. It has absolutely everything I would need. Beautifully appointed furnishings, the comfiest bed, washer/dryer in bathroom, fully furnished kitchen, attentive staff, beautiful grounds, so fresh and modern. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

Grounds are well maintained, but no nice walking paths (paved or well-maintained gravel) so I had to walk along road. I like having a kitchen and a living area. However, kitchen was very poorly equipped; steak knives, but no paring knife, no spatula (pancake flipper). Only one small bar of in unit when I arrived. Shower very slippery. Good news is that staff is very responsive and customer oriented. I requested additional soap, a skillet, rubber mat for shower and extra towels and all were delivered quickly. Kitchen faucet was not working properly and is was repaired quickly. I did not like layout of 1 bedroom unit with the entrance into the bedroom. Very annoying when housekeeping knocked on my neighbors door (right next to mine) five times after 10:30 pm while I was trying to sleep. I strongly suggest that staff members stay in the units for a week to get a feel for what their customers experience and make recommendations for improvement.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Proximity to Lake Geneva, great restaurants, that “endless summer” feel all made our trip so enjoyable! Our room was a great value! We had a nice view of the golf course from our balcony too!

The buildings and rooms have recently been updated…they look AMAZING!

This is a perfectly fine hotel with full-suite rooms. The one thing I didn't like was that the bedroom was right next to the balcony, which meant the noise level was high at times.

Locating check in building on the resort was a little tricky. However, check-in process was quick and easy. Staff were friendly. However, once we got to our room we found that the pull out sofa mattress for our young ones was stained, very worn, and had an old sheet on it. After calling the front desk and housekeeping they had no replacements mattresses available. Best they were able to do was add layers of new sheets, mattress pads, and blankets. This helped, but for the price they ask for the rooms, they need to do better. They did offer a dinning credit as a gesture for the inconvenience which was appreciated. During the last night of our stay storms took out power to entire section of our resort. None of the buildings had emergency lighting working nor did the resort provide any proactive communication on the situation. We had to obtain lights from the local store and had to stay the night in a stuffy room with limited window openings. Also, all our food in the kitchen suite refrigerator had to be trashed. Resort offered no proactive options for compensation or other offers. I was able to get a credit for the last night after reaching out to management. Overall, I expected more from this resort for the price they charge.

The following morning, we eagerly went down to the restaurant for breakfast, anticipating a delightful meal to start our day. However, to our shock, the server presented us with a bill exceeding $100 for our breakfast, despite our reservation clearly stating that all morning meals were included with our suite. When we approached the manager to resolve this discrepancy, she coldly dismissed our concerns, claiming it was a scam and insisting we had never paid the breakfast fee. Frustrated and feeling unheard, we reached out to Expedia support, detailing our disheartening experience. They advised us to check out, promising a refund for the ordeal we had just endured. Overall, our time at this hotel was marred by a complete lack of customer service, leaving us profoundly disappointed and wishing we had chosen a different place to stay.

We was a bit upset that we had a delay in checking in, but the front desk manager ms. Barbara put everything back on track very swiftly. She also acknowledged that this trip was a surprise Birthday gift and compensated us with a dinner voucher which was awesome when we finally checked into that amazing room/home that put the cherry on our whole trip. Well done! Cant wait to return. Everything and every staff member we encountered made us feel that we were in the right place

Very friendly and attentive staff.

This place exceeded my expectations! Clean, modern accommodations and extremely helpful and attentive staff that was checking on my needs daily via text messages. I had a problem with one of the bathroom light switches and after notifying the staff, they sent a repair tech immediately. I would definitely stay here again and king size bed was extremely comfortable! Close proximity to downtown Lake Geneva, other stores and attractions via car.

The customer service from the resort is OUTSTANDING! Dawn L goes over the top to make sure you have a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! We LOVE it at the Holiday Inn Vacations Club, that is why we continue to go back at least once a year.

Room / beds were very acceptable. We had a big issue with the check in process. Had 4 rooms reserved over 3 days. During check in process we made a point to desk staff that 1 room wouldn't be used until the next day but would be for the other 2 nights.. In the meantime the desk resold the room to others. When our last party arrived for check in as it was described they would be they advise there was No room for them. After much discussion with the desk they did find another room for use but this all took about 1.5 hours to handle at aprox 12 midnight. There is No question that the desk people didn't properly note what was going with our reservation. Their only comment was" not sure how this happened"

We had a wonderful stay here! I loved the trolley... it took us to ski, to the gym, to the restaurants and back home again. EVERYONE at the front desk were lovely and accomodating. They treated me like I was a celebrity guest. I appreciate the price and the attention to detail.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Club at Lake Geneva Resort over a long weekend for skiing, and skiing at the resort was great. We were also very happy with the hotel. Pros: - Clean, spacious - Full kitchen with pots and utensils and everything you need for basic meals. You can eat breakfast in the room, pack sandwiches for lunch, and get fancy and eat out for dinner - King bed in the bedroom, convertible sofa for the kids in the living room - Ski resort nearby - Water park nearby - Grand Geneva main resort with an indoor pool nearby I will not say cons because there are none, but a few things to consider: - Not walkable. It\'s a completely separate building. When we looked at the map before going we were like: "Oh, no problem, we can walk to the ski area!" Nope, you cannot. "Nearby" is not as nearby as we thought. You have to drive. The great thing, though, is that the resort provides a trolley that will take you everywhere within the resort. You have to call and ask for it, OR there is an app (nope, not willing to download an app that I am not going to use ever again). - This hotel in particular, the Holiday Inn, does NOT have an indoor pool, only an outdoor one. You CAN go over to the main resort and use the indoor pool there, but you will have to wash, dry, get dressed, and drive back. All these were minor inconveniences and definitely not drawbacks; everything was still excellent. Just wanted to post them here because they\'re useful things we learned while we were there.

Initially, it was very confusing finding the location. I received an email beforehand informing me that there is no check in desk but with an address to go to to be told where our actual accommodations were. So I plugged that address into my GPS and was directed to a rundown, closed horse stable, which was obviously wrong. Driving further down the road I passed a vast number--stretching for miles--of vast hotels/resorts called the Grand Geneva, The Lodge and the The Timberline Lodge, but nothing called Holiday Inn Club Vacation. After more driving around and two phone calls, I was informed where to do and where our building was. Holiday Inn Club Vacation is apparently just a small section, with a small sign, in the Grand Geneva. With better instructions, this wild goose chase wouldn't have been necessary. But alls well that ends well. Our room was very nice--a bedroom and a kitchen. The pool and whirlpool were very close, which was nice. I wish all the various restaurants hadn't been in other buildings, which would have required driving there, but assuming they'd all be very expensive anyway, we went to the nearby Walmart for food to cook in the well-equipped kitchen or ate off property. A good deal for the price too.

Close proximity to downtown, golf courses. Easy access and plenty of parking. Love this property, will def be back!

This hotel is perfect. In a quiet area but yet so close to downtown and other restaurants. Hotel is great, loved the kitchen area and the patio overlooking the golf course. The staff was also great and helpful.

We stayed here for our Anniversary and we had a wonderful time. Nice and quiet property and Lake Geneva was a beautiful town. Property was close to downtown and the lake. We will stay here again when we visit.

I loved that there was a pool near us and that you had access to all things grand Geneva. It is a beautiful facility. The stairwells and patios need a good pressure wash. It would have been nice to have at least one housekeeping visit because we could have used new towels and some supplies halfway through our stay. Great place for kids and families as it is relaxed. The food was phenomenal and I loved the option to in room dine. Everything is super close and the trolley service was a huge bonus.

It was the perfect spot for a fun weekend with my daughters. The food in the restaurant was very good. Our unit was clean and provided everything we needed for a weekend stay. We will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

The room we stayed in at the Holiday Inn was absolutely beautiful. We loved the onsuite bath and the comfortable bed. The kitchenette had what we needed and the fireplace made for a cozy evening. We also really loved our meal at the Chophouse!

Everyone was incredibly nice! Our waitress was the same girl both times and she was terrific. We also really enjoyed bingo with “B”. She was a blast!

This property has a lot to offer everyone in the family. It’s located in a beautiful setting but only minutes from Lake Geneva. I loved having a quiet balcony overlooking the golf course to enjoy my morning coffee. Extra perk- it was a favorite Wisconsin roast called Torke.

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff. However there is no parking at registration so somewhat difficult to know where to leave your car to run inside. Also when we went to breakfast we werent offered a menu just told the breakfast buffet was around the corner. Got our bill and it was $26 per person, however if we were offered a menu and i ate the same amount i had from the buffet it would have only been $15.

We stayed for our anniversary. We visited the Italian restaurant, lounge bar and pool bar. Everyone was so nice to us.

We really liked our stay. Some of restaurants were not open when we wanted to go. We thought maybe it had more adult sports/activities included than it did have for free. The place was very nice and clean.
