Quality Inn Beckley

Property was clean and staff was friendly. We enjoyed the pool and restaurant. Property is dated and beds were not very comfortable. Otherwise a good stay.

Parking on the right side is a little limited so had to park a little further away but not bad. Great staff and very friendly.

Furniture was wore out, no water pressure, ice machines were ouybrokebroke

Went in the side door because it was closer to our room. The parking lot had icy spots and we had to go up steps while carrying luggage and cooler. We chose this hotel because it listed a bar/restaurant. We checked in and asked where the ice machine was. The nice woman who checked us in said that she could get us some from the kitchen and after at least 5 minutes, she did give us a bag of ice. We later found out that the ice machine was broken and the kitchen was out of ice as well. The bar was completely closed at 7:00 in the evening and the restaurant was empty except for a few people who were doing some type of training. We asked if the restaurant was open and we were told about the training and they would check with the cook to see if we could get a menu and order food. The whole situation seemed odd so we decided to walk through the icy parking lot and sidewalk to another restaurant. The room and bathroom were clean but needed updating and the shower had very little water pressure. We had a king size bed with crib size pillows and the bed was neither horrible or comfortable but it was clean. Room was equipped with a mini fridge and an old dial turn microwave. When we opened the refrigerator, there was someone’s container of mozzarella sticks in it. The room temperature was hard to regulate and it seemed either too hot or too cold. Hot buffet breakfast had scrambled eggs,sausage,biscuits, and the typical continental breakfast stuff. Not worth the price.

-Pros- Good rates. Near the highway rams, gas, food store, exhibition coal mine, ihop and many others, free breakfast buffet that was much better than most, bar and gym on site and and Hot Spot right around the corner just passed the state police barracks. -Cons- older building so no elevator to 2nd floor and some rooms have older shades on the windows.

Property is clean, and has lots of rooms, and is layed out well. Pool is big, and excercise room is sufficient size with sufficient equipment. Staff is very friendly and competent. Breakfast was deliscious. Did not like restaurant (attached) to hotel (seperatly owned), and did not like the water pressure in shower - too low, not enough!

Good for someone with dogs. Pool is a disaster. Rooms that are for pets need new flooring. The dog walking area never has dog bags and the area is covered by dog turds. But the staff is good and the rooms are ok, especially for dog owners

The hotel was clean. Room was very nice, comfortable & quiet. We liked the size of the Jacuzzi suite. Convenient laundry and reasonably priced. Waffles, cereal & toast for breakfast. Some bagels and coffee.

We had to walk a long way around because there was no parking near where our room was due to a working door was labeled “use other door.” The key would not work for this door. We could exit but not enter. It presented a problem.

Very clean! It is an older property but it was very, very clean and nice.

It is conveniently located it is very run down our room smelled musty and there was so much dust! It was very hard to sleep we ended up leaving very early in the morning! The chair in our room was so dirty and the seat was sunken in so we didn’t use it or touch it! The pillows were fluffy until you lay on them then they went flat😬

Whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke, bugs in the room and furniture coming a part. Very dated!

Had to have our room switched twice due to food being on the floor of BOTH rooms at check in. Requested the first room be vacummed, were moved. Second room, moved again. Third room - reeks of cigs so hoping I don’t get some sort of charge for THAT too. Also ended up finding upwards of 12 flying ants that seemed to be coming from the vents :) No fan in the bathrooms, so don’t be surprised when you smell mold immediately upon entering the bathroom. Also, don’t expect them to replace any of the toiletries like lotion/shampoo/conditioner unless the previous person took the bottle with them. The lotion in our bathroom was 1/4 full. Breakfast tasted like soap and trying to get a refund for this stay has been awful. Stay elsewhere.

When we arrived, my first room was dirty and still had trash in it. The second room, there was bugs, not bed bugs, just bugs crawling on the floor and walls.

Big spot on carpet. Harden spill on night stand. Desk chair worn through over many areas. Restaurant and bar misrepresented in pictures.

This property is old and shabby, to say the least. Our room had dirty carpeting with black marks on it, a desk that looked like it was picked from a garbage dump, and a desk chair that was so laughingly worn out, it should’ve been thrown out many years ago. The only good points of the room was it was fairly quiet, and had nice cold a/c. But jeez, for $122 per night, I felt it was a poor value. Office desk staff was nice, and continental breakfast was ok, but the condition of the room was a dealbreaker to ever staying there again. Needs serious updating!

Person at front desk was great - very welcoming and personable on arrival. Could not access wi-fi and he took my laptop and did his best to help with no success but gave me an 877 phone number to call and they got me on line quickly.

This hotel was below average. The first room we checked in the toliet was not clean (without being more descriptive). They gave us a new room and said we would receive a discount. Not sure that is possible booked through Expedia. The next room which was king size bed (for 2 people) had one full size bathroom towel. We had to ask for extras. It had one coffee cup for coffee. The night stand had a charging area for cell phones but loose connection. My phone was not charged the next morning. Small pillows. There were cigarette butts in the hallways. This would be a great construction workers or truck drives that just want a bed for the night. Disappointed and I normally don’t share my comments on these sites.

Was very happy with stay. There was a lot of low level noise from outside our unit. Want my favourite but doable. For the price, can’t go wrong.

The front staff was wonderful. They accommodated our request to avoid stairs. They were friendly and pleasant. A definite asset to your facility.

I checked in around 9pm. The lady at the front desk was very nice and professional and she welcomed me. I had a very nice stay. It was very clean and comfortable.

Front desk clerk was not present when checking in. Went for dinner then came back later to check in.

Check in was very strange and no credit card or ID asked for. Very rude agent at the desk. The reviews I read when booking didnt match the room we received. I didnt expect much from a 2 star hotel, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised

Well, it's definitely budget friendly. The main picture is not of the hotel but the attached pub. The actual property was a time warp to the 1970s. Cigarette burns on furniture. The carpet and wallpaper. But it was safe, clean and quiet. Front desk staff very kind and professional. Pet fee was only $25. Most of the clients were workmen traveling for a job. The room needs the drapes dusted and such. And I found Jesus.

This property has to be the worst check in I have had in the past 30 Yrs. They have someone working the desk totally untrained. The poor clerk was lost all alone, obviously Was never properly trained. The owners of that motel don,t deserve business

This hotel is very convenient to highway and near several restaurants. It is pet friendly which is one reason we chose it. It is well worn but clean and fine for a one night stay.

Perfectly fine place to stay, reasonable price, friendly service and good location. My only suggestion is stay away from the nearby Outback restaurant which served me the worst steak I have ever paid to eat

We mostly enjoyed our visit. The room was clean and comfortable. The first morning, breakfast was good. The lady who was working kept it well-supplied. The 2nd morning (Sunday), there was a man restocking, but everything was empty, and the dining room was full of disappointed people. The eggs were gone, there was no bread. There were 3 biscuits in the warmer. No bagels or danish. Nada. Not really acceptable when breakfast is part of the deal.

This hotel was fine, perfectly acceptable. Nothing great nothing terrible. They advertise breakfast but it wasntuch so we ended up at the Omelette place across the street.

To start the chair in the room was disgusting torn and dirty. No soap in the room. Restaurant was cash only and sandwich only for food. And drinkers wandering in the hallways after the bar closed. I would not recommend this place

There is an on-site bar and restaurant. I ate dinner in the bar, and ate the buffet breakfast in the restaurant. BOTH were really good. The breakfast options were among the best I have ever had in a hotel.

Check In Representative was friendly and he was awake when I showed up after 3am. Found my room easily and the bed was comfortable. Reasonable price! Pet Friendly I was disappointed with breakfast. Just wanted a bagel with cream cheese and all you had was bread. Breakfast choices were limited.

Staff was pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was crowded and only one person was keeping condiments and food supplied. He was doing the best he good but needed help.
