Beds were comfortable. Fan in bathroom very loud. Mold in shower. Jets in hot tub not working correctly. Swimming pool has paint coming off bottom and tiles coming off wall. Convenient to many good restaurants. Walkable to the Cracker Barrel. Breakfast was good. Make your own waffles, sausage on biscuits and lots of cereal options

Just a stop over in the middle of a long drive, but it was a great choice. Clean, pleasant, comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than expected and they even gave a pool and hot tub.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is not one that we will ever visit again. Both beds were covered in stained sheets and the bathroom was dirty. After switching rooms twice and new bedding that was still stained, we just sucked it up and spent the night. The only reason we stayed is because the staff could not get us any reassurance that we would receive a refund, with no management working. We booked a room at a neighboring hotel, but canceled and like I said, sucked it up and stayed.

First room was filthy. Both beds had seriously stained linens, the carpet was wet and the shower was disgusting. We moved rooms... this room had no ac, the carpet was also wet, the shower pan was dirty, the sheets had brown stains and there was little tp. When we left, we let the front desk know and they did not offer any fix...

Checking went fine, was a little hard to find the parking lot. The room was terrible!!!! Dead insects in the bathroom, cockroaches were crawling everywhere!!! Dirty hand prints on the bed covers, staining on the sheets. All towels were not clean. A cloth shoved in a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom Cleaning bottle left in bathroom with dirty rag.

While the attendant at check in was friendly and courteous, the room left much to be desired. The bed linens were dirty; the white bed sheets were actually stained and dingy grey. There was a stain on the window seat. Overall the room was not clean. We will never stay at this facility again.

Very convenient location. Unfortunately you can hear everything in the room. Kids running down the hall, people having a conversation in the next room, etc. The room decor itself was nice. It was a one night stay and was affordable on a Friday night.

It was over priced, paid less in a big town for a better hotel. There were stains all over the blankets and pillow cases, hair in the shower, when went use towels stains of god knows what on them as well, the window in our room was busted and screen was pushed out. They set a family of 5 next to us and they were up half the night screaming and bouncing off the walls so got elvery little sleep. Nothing to do after 5 pm in the area. Staff seamed over worked the front desk person said she had 3 hrs off then had to come back to work after being there night before.

Stayed one night as planned. Very convenient to Interstate and lots of restaurants down the road. Requested a handicap room and was surprised to see a tub but there were several sturdy handrails which worked fine because I only use a cane. Sink had only inches of counter space in the bathroom which leaves little to no room for toiletries. Lots of room for more counter space especially since the tub is not wheelchair accessible. Loved the 'modern' style furniture and bench seating at the window!!! Simple, clean and a very refreshing change from a bulky, often dirty, fabric chair!! Usual continental breakfast which was well stocked, neat and clean. Bed and pillows were 'normal comfortable' (nothing beats home). One disappointment...no bedside clock. Decent price for a decent hotel and will definitely stay here again while traveling!!

Stay was only for 1 night. Pillows were small and had to ask for additional ones. Small room but clean. Service was good. No TV guide tv/room so you couldnt tell what was coming on. Non smoking rooms but burn holes in the sheets and comforter.

The hotel looked new online but it is definitely NOT new. The rooms are tiny and very basic. The tv was large but mediocre on the channels and quality of the picture. The pool was ok but the hot tub was out of service which is what we were counting on, and the pool area smelled like foul sewage every time the fan turned on and also the sill dry strong smell of chemicals as they were refinishing the hot tub. It was also very cold in the pool area because due to the smells they had the window open so with a temperature of 12 degrees, it was not enjoyable. The breakfast was so-so, waffles were good otherwise but very minimal in choices and not well stocked for what little they did have. If you’re going for a ski weekend at Winterplace be aware you will have a toll each way, it’s $4.50 each time. The food selection around the hotel was ok. Would not stay here again but it was clean and staff were nice.

The woman who checked us in was very friendly. However the next morning, a contractor was arguing with a staff member in the middle of the front lobby that his roller was gone and he couldn't do his work. It was a conversation that should have been taken elsewhere. The housekeeping staff was trying to rush us out of our room before checkout time and was standing outside our room until we left. They were watching us leave the room, which was quite awkward and unprofessional.

We were there wednesday to saturday and not one time was the room cleaned. Told the clerk twice and changed the bed and got towels myslelf. Would not recommend this to anyone. Bugs in bathroom and waher dryer doesnt work. Pool so cold coundnt get in it and owner didnt apologoze nor act surprisdd at all.

You get what you pay for. The night manager was very friendly. No fault of hers, but you receive a text to check in on online, and after going through the process, it does not show up on their side at the hotel. They are aware of this and have been asking for it to be removed for several years. You have to go through the entire process again when you check in. I was very disappointed with my recent stay. The overall experience reflected poor construction and minimal attention to quality or cleanliness. It felt like the hotel was rushed into operation to meet demand from nearby business expansion, and unfortunately, it shows in every detail. • The bed was soft, lumpy, and uncomfortable, and the pillows offered little support. • The sheets had discoloration, and the shower floor was clearly not clean. • There was a noticeable stain on the window bench, and the deadbolts on the door did not work—raising serious safety concerns. • The ironing board was missing its cover, making it unusable. • Breakfast was included, but the options were very limited and underwhelming. This property needs significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and basic hospitality standards. I would not recommend staying here.

Did not enjoy the stay! Elevator and third floor hallway had a strong smoke smell even though it is supposed to be 100% smoke free. When leaving the hotel to put luggage in the car, the desk clerk was outside smoking and we had to walk right through it since he was so close to the door

Brian the owner was very rude ! Jesse was somewhat ok. Andrea was terrible !!!!!! Booked a double bed they gave me a single bed dirty rub stains on the tub and shower curtain motel stank really bad outdated as well.

This hotel was conveniently located for pur trip to New River Gorge. The staff was very nice especially Andrea at front desk. The only issue we really had was the refrigerator in our room didn't work correctly. It kept freezing our items. The hot tub was nice to use after days of hiking.

Bed was very comfortable. Only issue was finding a towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door upon our arrival. Front desk said housekeeping just missed it. I didn’t say anything until we were checking out since the rest of the room was clean. We didn’t like the minimal options for breakfast and went to the nearby Cracker Barrel instead.
