Loved everything about this stay! Perfect for walking through the downtown area and wharf. They have complimentary bike rentals so we did that both days and biked through cannery row and some of highway 1 17 mile ride. Only comment is they did not leave us hand soap for the bathroom. Would stay here again and recommend to friends!

Nice property and quiet which we value. Grounds and rooms are well maintained- lots of restaurants within walking distance. Employees were very helpful. Only gotcha for me was the $17 a day parking fee. I did not see that specifically called out in the misc fees. Bummer. Overall had a great stay and will book again.

Service is perfect, food is perfect, rooms are perfect and super clean.We ordered a dog friendly suite , it was amazing but unfortunately the first night there was a wedding reception right beside us, the walls shook, but it was over by midnight. Siesta time is advertised from 9 pm to 9am, which is disappointing because I can’t swim in the morning. These people were also noisy in the morning collecting the wedding props, double parking outside my room. Restaurant is great, love the patio. Some dogs on patio kept barking at us and were not controlled so we decided to dine elsewhere for our birthday. Staff are very professional but also friendly. They have slow EV charging but reasonably priced. Having to pay for parking nowhere near my room was a little annoying due to the wedding, We should have been informed before or upon arrival. Unfortunately check out was slow on 2nd morning, as staff entertained corporate check ins at 11am. I guess the clientele are kinda demanding and oblivious to other guests needs. While waiting I witnessed other guests raid the refrigerator at reception for waters etc and just throw key cards at desk, wasn’t sure what the protocol was. Overall I recommend it

Great hotel with wonderful amenities, including delicious Spanish restaurant Esteban onsite, a day spa, beautiful grounds, well appointed rooms with fireplace & EV charger too boot. Centrally located, walking distance to downtown area with restaurants & bars.

This hotel was great! Super clean, boutique type hotel in perfect location. We used the free bike rentals and had an amazing day riding along the coast! Easy check in and clean rooms. Look forward to staying again!!

I expected newer furnishings and flooring for these prices. The room felt old and stuffy. The carpet smelled moldy and the bathroom smelled. We switched rooms , but the new room had the same problems. The pool is small and also “old”, but refreshing and pool area wash kept clean.

For a property this beautiful, it’s a shame that it rates “0” in cleanliness and service. The room was smelling like hell and we tried to reach the front desk through phone, cell phone call and their preference “text”. Tried for about 3 hours. Their phone was “engaged”. While checking out thought will tell them about this and shower but the staff did not seem to be interested to hear at all.

When we arrived, the room given to us by the front desk was not clean. We had to switch to a different room. We booked a King suite and noted in the reservation that there would be three person, but upon arrival the sofa bed was not prepared. The staff was extremely helpful in showing us how to us the bed and helping us pulling out the bed, but unfortunately the sofa bed was too soft and the sheets were bare minimum. It wasn't comfortable. The hotel also did not provide drinking water, so we had to ask for drinking water from the restaurant as we didn't want to pay for the bottled water. Parking was limited — we were able to find spots but sometimes they were far from where our room was. This was unsatisfying as the hotel charges for onsite parking. Considering how much we paid for the hotel, this was really a disappointing experience. The staff was great, but the hotel doesn't seem to be well kept.

Our stay was nowhere near what we were expecting. I really enjoyed their Spanish-style theme. However, the pungent smell in the room was overwhelming. I felt as if the room was an old closet that had collected mold over the years. The bed wasn’t comfortable. The pillows had feathers poking out through the pillowcases. The layout of the entrance provided no privacy when exiting or entering the room. The restaurant had an amazing brunch menu that portion of the experience was great. I’d have to say, their dinner options didn’t seem too appealing. Our waiter provided a couple of specials, and since I had already planned on having the Prime Rib dinner plate, he then stated, the 12oz Aged prime rib plate I had chosen wasn’t as good quality as the 16oz aged prime rib dinner for two. (Both prime rib dinners were aged.) When we received the plate, the prime rib wasn’t tender, and the vegetables weren’t enough for two people. We had asked that our prime rib not be sliced, yet that’s how they brought it to us. We told the waiter we didn’t want it sliced, he took it back, but refused to remake it. Not to mention, the waiter never brought one of the drinks, so we just asked for water. The Jasmine tea was warm, but it got cold pretty fast. Very disappointed in our dinner order and the service.

It was kind of not clean in the main stairs areas of the halls of the rooms. Carpets were old and not clean and felt like they needed major renovations. Nice people worked there. Amazing location!

This was our fourth or fifth stay at Casa Munras, and we have enjoyed all of them. It is in a special niche between a full-service hotel and a motel-type place. You park near your room and carry your bags, etc. Rooms open to the exterior, not a hallway. There is no valet parking. The prices are lower than the fancier full-service hotels in the area, but the rooms are spacious, the grounds are pretty, and it's within walking distance to downtown. There is a fantastic restaurant and bar (we recommend the margaritas!) and a well-maintained, attractive pool. We always go for a king room with a fireplace, which is super-cozy in cooler weather. (If you are looking for serenity, you might want to ask for a room that is NOT poolside in warm weather.) But if you're traveling with kids, close to the pool is perfect. The place is big enough that you can have choices. We love it here.

The price was right for a sizable room for 2-3 people (2 queen beds). Service was responsive and friendly! The room was a little dark and slightly dated in the Mission style. Great if you love that. We appreciated the fridge but would have also liked a microwave. The restaurant did not appeal to us, except for the live jazz group on Sunday night. Appreciated the fresh coffee in the lobby!

We had a nice time here. We loved the spacious room and we liked how convenient it was to have a restaurant on site. The restaurant was good but nothing spectacular. Thought it was a little over priced for what it was but they did have a nice drink happy hour. Great sangria. The place was clean but felt a little dated. With a little renovation I think it would be excellent. My biggest complaint was the noise. I could hear everything in surrounding rooms, even though we had a top floor corner room. Throughout the entire evening/night, We heard people talking, running, loud thumping. The waste collection was super loud. It woke my toder up at 5:30 AM.

This is an ok place, but it's priced higher than it should be. The suite we stayed in had very dirty fireplace glass and the kitchenette had only 2 glasses and 2 mugs. No plate or sliverware or paper towels (and no microwave). The wifi is very wonky, on a very standard new PC laptop we had to work w/their tech support to specifically enable it - never happened in dozens of hotel stays - and other devices timed out very frequently. Outside hallway lights shine brightly all night, right in the windows that don't have full shades. Won't stay again.

Wonderful stay! The entire team from front desk, restaurant associates and maintenance were friendly, attentive and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The multiple jet shower and deep soaking tub was an extra bonus. But we have to say the ASSOCIATES are what made our stay! Wonderful people, wonderful team!

This place was perfect for our overnight trip from our Bay Area home so we could attend an evening event at Monterey’s Golden State Theater. We walked to and from a fabulous restaurant for dinner. We walked to and from the event. We walked to and from a superb bakery for breakfast. We walked to and from a bit of shopping in the old downtown area. Finally, we got back in our car and drove home. Will definitely stay here again!

We had a nice view and were within walking distance of Alvarado St with its array of food and shops. Very convenient and the Parker-Lousseau bakery is a short walk for outstanding pastries and coffee.

We were only in Monterey for one night, but we had a great stay. Our room was ready, so we were able to check in early. The room was clean and quiet. Quick and easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf. A bit longer of a walk to Cannery Row, but it was very manageable. We didn't use it, but the pool area looked nice and other people were enjoying it. We'd definitely stay here again.

Room was very comfortable and pillows. I liked that they had a large vanity area in the bathroom. The room was comfortable at night with the heater. We tried the restaurant for breakfast but sadly it was a miss tor us. Food was salty and my son didn’t even eat his pancakes. That says a lot when that’s all he eats these days. We tried the cafe across the street for coffee. It was good and their pastries as well. We would go back there to try their breakfast items. It seemed like it had more homemade items to offer. Service was meh for breakfast as well. It’s nice they have spa next door if you want a service. Wished their restaurant closed a bit later than 830pm.

The bar, restaurant was great. The afternoon Happy Hour with the Tapas was very enjoyable. The breakfast menu was a bit lacking, honestly we had a great breakfast across the street at The Wildflower Cafe. The room, and amenities were fantastic, very comfortable bed, and the gas fireplace added to the ambience. The hotel is easy to locate, easy to walk downtown and to the pier One thing I would like to ask for would be to a variety of coffees for the Keurig coffee machine, all we had was VERY strong and only 1 creamer.

Casa Munras was a great place to stay so cute and charming. There were lots of shops and resturant within walking distance. It was right in old town and a quick walk to the water. The pool area was nice and the restaurant and bar were great. Good food and service. We did get a facial at the spa and it was wonderful. Great price to

Excellent property, but breakfast not included. Restaurant on site is not part of the hotel. Fortunately breakfast restaurant across the street and dinner options within walking distance.
