Nice stay, very friendly and helpful front desk. Clean rooms, nice pool area with hot tub. Breakfast was good. Very small parking area, often crowded by large vehicles made it difficult to pull in or out.

Excellent stay in two rooms for a family with two teens. Check in was quick and friendly by the young lady staffing the front desk. Rooms were spacious and the beds comfy, I slept very well. Breakfast was plentiful with eggs, potatoes, bacon, fruit, cereals, breads, yogurt, milk, juice, etc.. It was filling. The hot tub was hot and the pool was indeed heated. The bathroom amenities were nice, as was shower water pressure and temperature. The location is across the stress from a park with a little trail. It's very quiet, which is really nice compared to the urban hellhole we call San Jose. We will stay here again, highly recommended.

Upgrades to the part ocean view room and it had a beautiful view. Very nice for the price. Spa was broken and pool and spa looked dirty anyways. Breakfast isn’t until 7, which was too late for us. Front desk person was nice

Easy to find, but do not mistake it for the Best Western Plus down the street. Excellent location near many other small hotel/motels. Friendly staff, free hot breakfast! There is a small pool and spa, but spa too busy. Parking is tight.

It was ok place to stay for a last minute trip. The customer service was great. The room was super old with newer furnishings. Floors needed mopping for sure, they were super dirty.

The only things I didn’t like were that the bed didn’t have a fitted sheet. The one it had was just a topper so it felt a little strange sleeping on a topper. Second, the shower had some hairs kind of like maybe the shower wasn’t properly cleaned last time? Not sure, I went ahead and rinsed the hair down the drain with water but everything else was clean.

The room smelled bad, like an old, run-down taxi. The shower had little water pressure, so the bath wasn't good. The floor in the room looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. The refrigerator was making noise at night, I had to turn it off to sleep. The lampshades had white lights that only made the room feel old and poorly maintained. The breakfast room was small and cramped for so many rooms. The coffee was poor and had almost no options. I read the guest reviews before booking and arrived there to be extremely disappointed. I would never recommend this hotel and I bitterly regret booking it.

We enjoyed the partial ocean view. It was true to what was described. We asked for a quiet spot and got it. The king sized bed was comfy and the small living area away from the bedroom made things feel more spacious. There is a small step up into the bedroom that caused my husband to stumble. The blackout curtain did not block out the morning sun, so if you're an early riser, it's ok. If not, bring your eye mask. The small fridge and microwave were nice to have. The towels were flat, not fluffy. Breakfast was good. In all, this was a nice Best Western.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a recent hotel stay I booked through Expedia in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations due to both unprofessional staff behavior and unacceptable room conditions. Upon checking in, I encountered a male staff member who was extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. He commented on my appearance, saying things like, “Why don’t you smile? You have to smile at me. When you don’t smile and your face is serious, I get nervous.” I found this to be unprofessional and intrusive, especially coming from hotel staff who are expected to provide a welcoming and respectful environment.

Vicky, Victoria, and Esmerelda are awesome. The past two Fridays I stayed and had a great experience. Each time the ladies helped get me a bottom level room so I could easily unload my suv packed with organizing supplies for next day’s job. They even put a cone out to hold a parking space next to my room knowing when I was arriving. Just above and beyond service. 100/10! Thank you for having such a caring and professional team! Ps- amazing breakfast too and comfy beds!!

The staff was attentive, friendly and true to their word. We had one small maintenance issue and someone was there within 15 minutes and fixed it on the spot. The room looked exactly like the picture. Solar panels make the property more energy efficient and we appreciated that windows could be opened to allow fresh air in the room.

When I told the front desk there was no hair conditioner and he asked me to contact housekeeping which was not available after hours. I asked again on the 2nd day and got the same answer. seems it is my fault not be able to get hold of the housekeeping. No apologetic at all. where is the hospitality for Best Westin chain?

Staff was very friendly beds were comfortable! Clean. Stayed one night we got a suite had a separate area with a door that closed we didn't use it. They got us silverware late number as our girl got sick. I left my laptop in the room and the house keeper called me! Well stay again. Wish they had a restaurant or bar they had vending machines though.

The man checking us in was having an argument with the customer in front of me. His responses and the way he talked to the customer was completely unacceptable. Then came me, he said I got you booked from Expedia with two queens. I told him no, I ordered one king. He said if you're not happy call Expedia. I said no I don't have time to do that. He responded then you must be happy. I said no I am not happy but I don't want to call Expedia. And he said it once again, well than you must be happy if you're not calling Expedia. I told him once again Im not happy and asked him to please stop being confrontational that I am willing to accept the 2 queens. He said I am only gonna give you the room if you say you are happy with what I am giving you. At that point, I did not respond at all. He stood there and stared at me and after about 2 minutes, gave me the key without anymore words exchanged. His eyes were glossy and I know he was stoned. He should not be in a position that is in customer service.

A modest motel with large clean rooms. Nothing Fancy but certainly neat and organized. Breakfast included, coffee quite good. Easy parking. On a main Street, so Access to places in Monterey is easy, as is access to US1.
