We have stayed at this hotel MANY times. The rooms are clean and remodeled. Coffee in the room, no breakfast offered, across the street from a large Shopping Mall with lots of food options, free parking. Rates really fluctuate depending on the season, no pool.

Hotel is older but very well maintained. We had 2 rooms and stayed 3 nights. Very quiet at night. Parking is tricky since you have to back down the middle, which seemed to be difficult for some drivers. I would definitely stay here again.

We liked the U-shaped one story property and the grounds were beautifully landscaped and maintained. The room was newly renovated and very clean. We were in a pick up truck and it was a little difficult backing out of the parking lot.

Mold all around the bathroom window. You expect these are places that they need to clean. Chairs in the room had multiple stains. Also, someone hit my car in the parking lot and the staff pretended that they checked camera and didn't find anything

Property was great, just a short walk from the mall and food options. However the room was a little dirty (floor had some spots), the sink had a big crack in it but other than that it was great for the price. Would stay again 🙂

I don't often write reviews, but this property was an outstanding value. My room looked like it was updated last week! Extremely clean, simple furniture but in excellent condition. Newer style bath and comfortable bed (not as firm as my bed at home but I slept very well). Not a place to lounge around the grounds, sip wine and watch the sunset, but if you are in Monterey to see the sights, then this place is perfect for 1,2 or 3 nights. Fantastic value!

I prepaid for my room and the front desk made me pay a tax difference- in cash - before checking in. It was less than $1 but really tacky that they did that. I’ve never had that happen before, There were hairs in the sink and I had to clean funk off the shower head. Walkable to Whole Foods and a little shopping center. Short drive to Beach, cannery row, etc.

Motels in this area have been around for a long time. Most including this one have been somewhat updated. Bed was comfortable. Wish there was room for a king. It was clean but small. Outside of a desk chair no other sitting furniture.

Loved the bed! I was surprised how quiet it was since it seemed it was full each night. Parking is a bit tight and requires good reversing skills. Also loved how easy it was to walk to the shopping center across the street or get snacks at Whole Foods. But it’s close to downtown and the fun stuff while being quiet. I was in a room furthest from the office and could not get WiFi. It would pop in and out mostly in the morning but I mostly didn’t have internet. Monterey was also a dead zone for AT&T so I’d recommend bringing a book and planning to be unplugged.

Stay was very good. The rooms are compact, but efficient nicely done in modern. We were there for a week for a meeting and it worked well as it was just five minutes downtown to the venue and considerably less expensive than the big hotels. Plus city parking was only nine dollars a day so that worked. The manager was most accommodating and polite. The room housekeeping is only every couple days so keep that in mind when you’re using your towels. Hang them up to dry.! I would come back again if I was to be in Monterey for another meeting

On motel row in Monterey CA convenient to many tourist spots. Main complaint about this motel are the thin poorly insulated wall that allow hearing conversations in the adjacent rooms. One night the couple next door was chatting past midnight keeping me awake! The desk chair was worn out and did not function and no other chair was available. The clerk brought me worn out old folding chair which was not comfortable. Bed and shower were very good and maid service excellent!

The stay was better than expected. Room was very clean, but it only had one trash can. The walls were also way too thin as you could clearly hear the people the next room. The shower had shampoo, but no conditioner. It only had two face towels and two hand towels, but there were 4 of us who stayed.

The staff was amazing easy quick check in and check out process. The room was perfect very clean and I never watch cable but they had very amazing cable interesting to watch. The parking was very convenient. I would definitely recommend and I would recommend to others!

The property is fine. No complaints there. The check in experience is another story. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a sign on the office that read, "Office is closed for 60 minutes." I waited about 40 minutes, without any indication when the 60 minutes began, and the sign never came down. Annoyed, I went to a grocery store to kill some time. I called the hotel phone and they claimed they were never closed. Upon returning, the 60 minutes sign was still there. However, I saw someone in the office. The receptionist completely ignored my questions, and refused to give me a receipt upon demanding my card on a pre paid room. I assume it was for a deposit, which is understandable, but there was no communication. English was likely a second language, but no communication was given at all. Once we were finally checked in, an hour later, everything else was fine. Checkin: 0/5. Hotel: 3.5/5 Parking lot: 2.5/5 (very awkward to navigate, but maintained well). There is a delightful and inexpensive Vietnamese restaurant two doors down.

Decent budget room. Staff is stone cold unfriendly. Instead of a smile its all business when checking in. Then when it came time to leave, at 8am they are knocking at your door trying to clean the room. They pace back and forth infront of your room indicating they want you gone. I have a 1.5yr old and a wife. It takes an hour or so before we can leave. It was so bad that when the car was loaded at 9:45am, i did a double check for items in the room. I hear knocking on the door. I figured it was my wife maybe needing to use the restroom. No, it was them again. How about let me leave in peace? I left by 9:50 and they wont stop bugging you. Its nuts.

Upon check in staff was not very friendly. We were told house keeping was every-other-day, which was ok with us. However, on the day when we were supposed to have house keeping they did not service our room. The manager told us service was from 09:00-14:00. We had left our room by 13:00. When we got back early evening we had to go ask for towels, coffe and cups. Our trash can was full and needed to be emptied. We also had a leaky toilet. That did get repaired promptly though. The awning into the office was low and my husband hit his head, which the on-site manager on duty saw. He didn't even bother to ask if my husband was ok. It's a bit sad that the on-site manager was not very service oriented because the place in it self is not bad at all.

Great location in Monterey. I didn’t have a car but the hotel is very walkable to the Del Monte mall and bus stops. Room was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the Wi-Fi couldn’t connect to my work laptop so I had to do work at a nearby Starbucks instead of my room but the staff did their best to resolve it. I will definitely stay there again but I’ll just make sure I don’t need to work next time

My family and I really enjoyed out stay. We stayed in the 2 room suite. Plenty of space. Very clean and nice. Amazing location. Across from the mall you could walk there. Very close to the aquarium. Close to freeway. Very happy and would stay again.
