Grand Hotel Normandy by CW Hotel Collection

Stayed on 2nd floor and still had to use a staircase even though hotel has an elevator. On day of checkout elevator was out of service. Had to haul all luggage down the stairs. Fortunately, hotel personnel helped. Parking not too convenient. Several hundred meters from hotel, requiring a 10 minute walk. Breakfast very good!

Great stay albeit just half a night and a morning. Very friendly staff. Nice little pool, although not for splashing of fun according to the signs. Nice big and clean room. Parking is a little bit of a nightmare though, best bet is parkering garage underground a decent walk from the hotel.

Really helpful staff. Even gave us a welcome gift & local info. Lovely looking room but when i separated the beds the floor was filthy. Staff resolved immediately. Room was a bit dirty in other areas tho. Pool was lovely. Downside was temperature of the room. We went in winter allocated room 50 at the end. It was very cold. Staff gave us a heater & extra duvet but still had to sleep in our jumpers.

Very good location, 10 minutes walk from the main square. Huge 24/7 car park close by. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, and a nice pool too. Only negative is the price of breakfast where it is cheaper to eat out, in an expensive city. Would recommend.

Just arrived home from a weekend away in Bruges. This hotel was in a great location being only a short walk away from the Center of Bruges, perfect for those wishing to visit the Christmas markets at this time of the year. Although the hotel car park was full there was a large safe and secure car park only 100 meters away for a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and the lobby was warm and welcoming although the public toilets smelt awful. The hotel overall had quite a dated decor but I think this added to the charm or staying in Bruges. The breakfast was great with lots of choices to suit anyone’s taste, and I particularly liked the decor in there too. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy, however the pillows were rather lumpy. The pool was a great addition for those who like a dip, however could have been cleaner. Overall we had a great weekend but could do without the smell of toilets down the corridors and in the elevators.

Service and facilities can't be faulted. It was excellent and made my stay enjoyable. Besides the excellent service, it is affordable and well situated, being 10 minutes or so walk from most of the important sights and restaurants. The rail station is also a 15-20min walk away, while a bus stop/interchange is 5 minutes walk away. One downside noted was the strong smell of old sewerage pipes in a section of the corridor immediately after the reception desk. I appreciate that this often can be a problem in old buildings, but until this is fixed, I would recommend the hotel place some candles in the area, which should burn-off/mask the smell. Would I recommend the hotel, yes!

The staff was very helpful and were able to recommend and reserve a nice place for us for dinner. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection, and good quality food for the price.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Friendly staff, nice room, good breakfast. However they have not gone the extra mile to make the experience something special. The cleaning is also no up to par. There is dust in the ceiling, corners and behind doors. The quality lays in the details.

The property was overall good. There was however a sewage odor that was there persistently, near the elevator and the stairway. Some days worse than others. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Bathroom was huge. Housekeeping came daily!

I had to change room as there was black mould in my hotel room next to my bed.

Price was really good for one night in Bruge, the room was very small but clean, however there was an unpleasant smell of drains in this room

nous n avons pas eu la chambre reservee mais celle de categorie en dessous l hotel n a pas voulu nous rendre la difference qui etait de 50 euros nous avons ete mis dans une dependance qui ne correspondait pas aux photos les produit de soin avaient deja ete utilises et la chambre etait poussiereuse

The hotel is very beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean, but the room we stay was located next to the garage, outside the main hotel. So we have to go through a open space and submitted to cold when in winter. Also, the stairs for the first floor are very steep and short, very dangerous for an old person.

Check out was at 11 but none of the materials given said that and there was no phone in the room, so i could not call to ask. Im from the US and waking up even at 1100 is early for me. A clerk was upset when i checked out at 1200 and threatened to charge extra but a nice clerk intervened. Also the room was too hot even with the heating off.

The hotel was one of the best I've stayed at! It was a 5-10 minute walk from all of the restaurants and attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side but it had all of the amenties we needed. I would definitely recommend the Grand Normandy Hotel.

We visited early March, and although the room was spacious and clean, it was very cold. We realized that the heating cannot be adjusted from the room. After going to reception, they confirmed that they will turn the heating on. Even after that, our family of 4 were freezing all night. We noticed the heating was on, but after a while after it was turned off. For the price we paid, it was unpleasant to sleep in a freezing room. The breakfast was good.

Our room was quite small but everything was clean and all the staff were helpful and lovely.

Excellent large family rooms, walkable to the town center, with a swimming pool and a carpark close by, it was a great hotel for a short stay in Brugge.

Spent two nights at the hotel, and the hospitality was lovely, the only thing was my room was next to a road. i heard cars early in the morning and the builders plastering the walls as the rooms are not sound proof.

Very nice hotel near the centre. It's located next to a road but we had a roadside room and we heared nothing. It was perfectly quite. Great room with a kingsize bed and bathroom with bad. We had a great stay.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. It was close to the main area, just a 10 minute walk to the square. Raman at reception was so lovely and helped me a lot with my baby - washing bottles and generally paying extra attention to us. It was very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable- we had a random pillar in the middle which affected the view of the tv but apart from that it was good. There isn’t a phone in the room which made it quite difficult to contact reception - they gave a mobile number but it was quite difficult to always reach someone. Overall a 9/10 stay in Bruges.

This hotel is amazing from check in to check out everything was 10 out of 10. The lovely guy at check in , Yulian I think , is a credit to this hotel.He gave us a wonderful guide and recommendation on the beautiful city of Bruges which we found incredible useful.We were early to check in but it wasn’t a problem , we sat in the beautiful bar , enjoyed a local beer and before we knew it a room was ready for us. What a stunning room , immaculate ,luxurious and spacious. Indoor pool was a bonus after a day of walking and breakfast was out of this world. We loved the chilled and friendly atmosphere in this hotel , the staff obviously very happy to work there ,quite obviously love their city and nothing was any trouble.Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to everyone staying in the area .

Could not fault the staff every single one of them was very polite and helpful. The swimming pool was a good temperature and the games in reception were a nice touch.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have travelled the world and never stayed at a hotel as disgusting and filthy as this one. At best, this place is a 2 star accommodation. Please look at pictures to see what I am talking about. Hair in sink on arrival. Rubbish behind bin. Hair on bathroom floor. Large stains on bedding. Tattered bedding. Shower leaking. No iron in the room. The one I borrowed from reception was leaking. No toilet roll holder. Housekeeping leaves a roll on the flush. The room was boiling. Air con did not work. There is no room service (no phone in the room) so you have to keep going to reception for any issues. They tell you to call a Belgium number if any issues. Do they really not know that tourists don't belong to Belgium so we are expected to pay to be able to call them to raise an issue or on my case; make multiple trips before anyone would bother to fix the problem. The worst thing is that they do not seem to care. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told he's not around. They were not interested in looking at the pictures I took and handed me a form to write the complaint which I did but no one got back to me. I was neither offered a change of room, nor a compensation. Well actually, their customer service is so poor that they didn't even offer an apology for the third class service they provided after taking my hard earned money which I thought I was paying for a 4 star accommodation. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Got there and there was no parking even though it was stated as designated .. you have to reserve and then its 25 euros a night ... so we used a car park. This wasnt the hotels fault but rather the agents. Next morning our toilet started bubbling and burping which bought small amounts of feaces back up and it also smelt. Went to reception and asked for cleaning materials to use before we used it because of spatter as i knew they couldnt rip the whole sewage system up to rememdy the problem... hotel was also full. They were helpful enough but offered nothing by way of myself becoming a cleaner for 3 days ... even a bottle of plonk on leaving would have been a gesture... but there was no apology that i had to do that etc. Which is why i wont use this hotel again. But its a good location and the breakfast was amazing. Staff were generaly polite and freindly. It was just the loo issue ... which was actually a pretty serious one.. of which i have videos ... but was handled wrong. If this hadnt happened this hotel would be my go to for brugge

We liked the fact that the hotel was away from the busy old town but close enough to walk there in 15 minutes or so. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fine, the decor was a little dated and the furniture needed updating, but all in all it was very comfortable and fine for what we wanted.

This property is a little outside the town center but it’s worth the stay. The staff was friendly and the property was so clean and pretty. The beds were perfect and the town center was walkable. Highly recommend this property.

Great stay for Bruges. Breakfast was good and room was comfortable. It was a longer walk to the city center, but doable.

Really enjoyed the hotel - lovely breakfast buffet. Hotel bar was very nice. Rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. Easy walking distance to center of Bruges.

Fantastic boutique hotel just 10 minutes walk from Markt square. Rooms are super clean with very comfy beds and excellent service. The swimming pool is a lovely touch. The breakfast is the best I’ve ever had in a European hotel. So much choice and so fresh/great quality. Would highly recommend.

What a fabulous hotel! We loved it! Excellent friendly and knowledgeable staff who were ever-present but not intrusive. Really made us feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and very high quality. Lovely pool. Great bar. Hotel was spotlessly clean but retained character. Our family room was gorgeous!! We will definitely be back as soon as we can!!
