Great property at great location but keep in mind that the area in front of the hotel is pedestrianized so your taxi cannot pickup / drop off at the entrance and you need to walk. Also the hotel has a strict policy on room temperatures so although I prefer a warm room, they insist on keeping it chilly during the winter to save money I guess. I would have gladly paid entra to turn up the thermostat for the duration of my stay

Great location - city centre . Very walkable. Note there is no where to park - pedestrian streets. The property is new so everything is very clean, new and modern. It was a comfortable stay. For the price there weren’t any extra value add amenities. This would be my only apprehension for the fture.

The hotel is situated right in the middle od town, with easy access to dining and transit options, but its suprisingly quiet and restful at night. The rooftop terrace is beautiful, but limited seating, so try your luck for a drink!

Staff very courteous and professional, Twin room was well appointed with two small double beds that were ever so comfy, bathrobes and slippers, lovely little tea and coffee corner, indulgent toiletries and to top it all an unexpected bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room. We would love to go back and enjoy the rooftop bar and thermal suite next time. We were a group of 4 friends staying for one night.

The location of the store is terrific and there are nice little touches throughout. We particularly enjoyed the thermal area, restaurant and bar lounge near the reception. The ladder is a great people watching spot. The service was uniformly, super friendly and always helpful. If you are not familiar with Oxford, as we were not, please note that a lot of of the roads around the hotel Are pedestrian only, and Waze did not fully appreciate that. The porter came to our rescue and helped us navigate things.

Fantastic location. Rooms are tiny, ours was not square which made movement around the bed a challenge. If my partner was in the child size chair (not joking, it was small and low) and I wanted to get to the restroom on the other side of the bed, we would have to switch positions. To get to our room required a key card in the lift and the hallway, then another press button door. All of these “fire doors” slam shut constantly as people come and go. I cannot tell if it is a safety feature or not? Also there is nowhere to store luggage, not even a rack included. There is a skinny wardrobe with hangars and safe, small mini bar but it would be virtually impossible to get your luggage inside. The bed was hard and had only a sheet topper. We were gone the majority of the day and still had to ask for housekeeping-and even then got an “ok” as if asking was normal. To end on a POSITIVE NOTE! We did utilize the spa for massages and they were INCREDIBLE and made up for any negativity re: the small rooms. I would go back to The Store for a massage or if they renovate some rooms by combining 2 to create 1 normal size space.

This area of Oxford is off limits to cars and you must park offsite at a park and ride or a garage. Park and ride means take a 30 minute bus ride, then walk (with all of your luggage) a few blocks to the hotel. The closest garage is about $60 a day and still requires you drag your luggage through cobblestone streets to the hotel. There isn’t even an option to drop your luggage then go park. Seems unreasonable ask for a hotel that is charging very high rates. Maybe a shuttle service would help. This situation really hurt our experience a lot

This was the third hotel we stayed at in Oxford, and it was by far the best. From the moment we arrived, with a clearly marked parking space ready for us, the service was attentive and helpful throughout our brief stay. The interior décor blends classic elegance with modern touches, including some beautiful contemporary paintings. Our room had a wonderfully comfortable bed, a well-equipped bathroom, and a breathtaking view over the High Street and the University Church of St Mary the Virgin. If it weren’t for the modern traffic below, it would have felt like stepping back in time. While it was windy and dark outside, the hotel’s warm, peaceful atmosphere made us feel instantly relaxed. Breakfast in The Quad Restaurant was excellent – a perfect way to start the day. A truly great hotel that we would be happy to return to.

all areas clean and smelled fresh, room clean and as fronting onto the road the soundproofing was good enough to nullify the resurfacing work that was going on the night of our stay. Reception, Bar and Resturant staff friendly and efficient. We were able to leave our luggage both before and after our check in and checkout so we could enjoy the city unencumbered. Situated in the heart of the city close to the major museums, theatre city centre shopping and castle, a pleasure to stay in and the bed was comfortable!

Officious staff, poor information provision, slow check in, tiny hotel rooms, marks all over the hotel room floor and walls, hotel room rug not clean, cast to TV did not work (didn't much care, but don't say it's offered if it doesn't work), TV guide function worked once, on the 4th attempt, and never again thereafter (ditto), thermostat would not go below 19 (and temperature took forever to drop, even blasting the fan), and the sink drained extremely slowly ... if you want a gimmick hotel that seems to have spent most of its money on its website and it's misleading photographs, and if you are willing to walk several blocks (possibly in the rain) for the privilege (they don't offer onsite parking or valet parking or shuttle buses ... any of which I would have been willing to pay for), knock yourself out ... otherwise, don't waste your time or money ... it only had to be "okay" to justify the not insignificant cost of the rooms, and it couldn't even manage that. Wonderful property right in the middle of Oxford. Comfortable, clean and good vibe in the lobby area. Room was equipped with an espresso maker and small fridge. The only downside, if there is one, is that rooms are on the small side relative to North American standards. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Oxford.

New robe in bathroom had dried up huge booger on it which I unfortunately thought was lint and tried to pick it off. Super yuck! Very small rooms with no surface area to open carry on luggage, no drawers. Had to open bag in windowsill. Bizarre.

Great luxury property. Staff is excellent. Beds are very comfortable. The towels have too much lint. That was a daily issue, but it’s a lovely property and rooms are comfortable. The safety of the property is also high level.

Perfect location, lovely common areas and rooms. Beds were a bit hard for my preference, but I like quite a soft mattress. The room was a bit too warm, because the AC is centrally controlled. But overall, I would recommend.

From the moment we arrived at The Store, we were impressed by the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, making us feel welcome and well cared for. I would rate the hotel 3.5 or 4.0 on a scale of 5.0. Our particular room (King) was not as large as expected and the bathroom was very small. It is not a luxury property.

Fantastic location. Rooms are tiny, ours was not square which made movement around the bed a challenge. If my partner was in the child size chair (not joking, it was small and low) and I wanted to get to the restroom on the other side of the bed, we would have to switch positions. To get to our room required a key card in the lift and the hallway, then another press button door. All of these “fire doors” slam shut constantly as people come and go. I cannot tell if it is a safety feature or not? Also there is nowhere to store luggage, not even a rack included. There is a skinny wardrobe with hangars and safe, small mini bar but it would be virtually impossible to get your luggage inside. The bed was hard and had only a sheet topper. New robe in bathroom had dried up huge booger on it which I unfortunately thought was lint and tried to pick it off. Super yuck! Very small rooms with no surface area to open carry on luggage, no drawers. Had to open bag in windowsill. Bizarre.

Checked in on line prior to our visit, using our passports, but staff still insisted on seeing id when we arrived. Luckily I had my driving licence with me. The staff member that dealt with us regarding the id, treated us as though we were an inconvenience. Not the best welcome to the hotel. The younger member of staff that showed us to the lift was much more welcoming and pleasant. Lovely hotel decor, comfortable beds, complimentary drinks and chocolate in the room were appreciated. Great location - city centre . Very walkable. Note there is no where to park - pedestrian streets. The property is new so everything is very clean, new and modern. It was a comfortable stay. For the price there weren’t any extra value add amenities. This would be my only apprehension for the fture.

The location of the store is terrific and there are nice little touches throughout. We particularly enjoyed the thermal area, restaurant and bar lounge near the reception. The ladder is a great people watching spot. The service was uniformly, super friendly and always helpful. If you are not familiar with Oxford, as we were not, please note that a lot of of the roads around the hotel Are pedestrian only, and Waze did not fully appreciate that. The porter came to our rescue and helped us navigate things.
