They charge now for parking £7 EVERY NIGHT - how ridiculous is that. It is a field in a village. Won’t be staying again - what a cheap way to rip off customers.

Friendly reception staff, beautiful beamed room (king premium) in the old part of the hotel. The staff in the restaurant, both for breakfast and especially evening dinner were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The pool, sauna and steam room were great

Absolutely superb in every way; about 4th time we have stayed in 6-7 years, though several upgrades/refurbished areas apparent this visit. Lovely in every way and service excellent. The breakfast display and variety is even better, and the room/bed SO comfortable. The ONLY disappointment is now having to pay £10/night to park on site, especially when occupancy was not full and IHG Holiday Inn at Peartree roundabout charge £6 which location is more understandable to deter city visitors from leaving cars there to catch a bus into the centre (which Voco Thames overnight guests may choose to do but not casual 'scroungers' I would have hoped)

This hotel was absolutely fantastic, as soon as we arrived the lady on reception was friendly and helpful. We were there for our 25th wedding anniversary and little things they done really made it special, some chocolates for us, a few glass of prosecco with dinner and 'Happy Anniversary' on our dessert plate. Food was amazing and all the staff are so friendly. My only negative was that you have to pay for parking, which if we were close to the town centre yes, but there is nothing around. But this did not ruin our stay

Nice property away from the main road and close to the river Thames. Welcoming reception, decent sized rooms, some with terraces and balconies. Pleasant Spa and pool. Good food, beautifully presented. Comprehensive breakfast.

The area was reasonably clean but there are a few missing tiles and the changing rooms would also have benefited from deep cleaning on a more regular basis. The steam room was poor with no hose to clean down and inadequate steam. The sauna however was good though a little on the small side.

The hotel and staff was very nice. Wish they had a jacuzzi too. The carpets in the room we stayed in the garden section could with a wash. Otherwise it was all so clean and lovely. Loved it that a bus goes into Oxford and back from just outside the hotel gate. Thank you for looking after us.

The hotel was so clean and comfortable. We had everything that we needed and more. Every member of staff that we came across was really friendly and helpful. Our room was very large and we had a beautiful, huge, cloud-like bed. The pool was lovely and clean. The filtered bottles of water are a really lovely touch, along with the honeycombe on arrival. I have dietry requirements, which were catered to wonderfully for breakfast and when we ordered room service (which was yum!)

Room run down. Main light didn't work, TV kept turning off, shower head wouldn't stay up and extractor fan didn't work. We ordered room service from the phone in the room and were hung up on. We told the receptionist the above who just replied "thank you for letting us know" no apilogies. The reception building and the bar was beautiful. Was disappointed no jacuzzi in the "spa" google pictures and reviews show one. The hotel has a lot of potential but more attention to detail is definitely required.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Room was very spacious and well decorated, breakfast was delicious and the staff were ever so attentive! And the hotel offered us some delicious honeycomb made from their own honey!

The hotel was fantastic, the room clean with a very comfortable bed, all facilities in bedroom hair dryer, tea making and toiletries, all the staff very friendly and polite especially Kayley at check in and out and a special shout out to Nat who was friendly, informative and nothing was to much bother Only slight downside had a bar meal on the Friday night starters came out at different times mine was eaten before my wife’s came out and the pizza was burnt on the bottom

Overall we had a nice stay. We had 2 nights. Saturday & Sunday. Our 3 course meal in the Napier restaurant was excellent!! Our first night was in a garden room. The room was nice. Bed and bedding all very clean & comfy. However these rooms have extremely thin walls. We were kept awake all night because the neighbours both sides were noisy. One side was even talking loudly on his phone at 4am. We did complain to management and they dealt with it swiftly. But our nights sleep had been ruined and my husband had to be up and out at 8am for an appointment. We were seriously considering cancelling our 2nd nights stay and going home early. However the excellent staff rallied around. A customer service manager called Claire approached us at breakfast and apologised profusely for the rough night. She arranged for us to move to a room which was larger and had proper walls! It was in the Church wing. A really lovely room, and yes it was quiet. So we stayed for our second night and had a better sleep. The breakfast on both mornings was excellent. The staff were excellent. Especially Claire! The bar food was also really good if a bit pricey. So I would recommend this hotel but if you value your sleep then don’t choose a garden room. Also a special thank you to Akisha in the restaurant who helped me with a query when I rang after our stay. She was extremely helpful.

Stayed for 1 night. First time we had been to Oxford. We got a taxi into the city but a bus is easy enough too. The hotel was charming and staff friendly. The pool and spa were very nice. Our room was very big and had a patio overlooking the green. Wonderful stay

Amazing hotel and just what we were looking for! We were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary and wanted a peaceful retreat and we got just that! The service was perfect, we had dinner at Napiers, breakfast, utilised the bar area, swimming pool, room service amongst speaking with reception and all friendly and attentive. The grounds are simply stunning also. We had a room with a balcony and i can definitely recommend one of these. Cant wait to come back again!

We stayed for a mini break, just two nights. Really fortunate to have a ground floor room. The room was great, really spacious, kingsize bed and really well furnished and decorated. The bathroom was excellent with a great shower. We had dinner the first night, very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Breakfast was outstanding, lots of choice and excellant produce. The setting by the side of the Thames was good, we enjoyed walking along the towpath. All in all a great stay and highly recommended.

The hotel is a bit far front the university, but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel so that is real it an issue, the hotel is lovely, the rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and efficient, the shower, Wifi and everything else was also good so if we ever go back to beautiful Oxford, we would definitely stay at the Vocco again.

Front desk was amazing and friendly. The room is very nice and super comfortable and the food at the restaurant was A M A Z I N G!!! We actually decided to extend our stay and stay here for a second night before going back to Heathrow instead going back to London for our last night. It’s just beautiful here.

Generally the staff was very helpful except some British friends of ours were trying to get in touch with us and left three messages with the reception staff. None of them were delivered to us, even though we specifically asked if we'd received any messages.

First impressions: the drive and facia of the hotel is beautiful Check in: flawless. My prior online chat was evident and already in play. Reception: Liza is remarkable. She never seems to go home! She remembered my room number 5 days after check in! Breakfast:Maître D Akeesha (apologies for the spelling) has a great team. They keep a relatively tight ship. Maid service: impeccable. The entire place, buildings and grounds are spotless and beautiful. Pool is warm, not too big, but welcoming. (For those who like to find fault - there is one tile missing on the poolside ;) No job is too big, or demanding, for everyone in this place. I rarely give 5 stars. Then again, I rarely am THIS impressed! Little Note, for hospitality management / staff … when spraying the cleaner onto a vacant table, in the restaurant, guard the spray splatter with your cloth (nobody likes to sit eating, whilst being sprayed with some level of detergent from the next table) Keep up the good work, everyone!

What a great stay - Every single member of staff we met was friendly, polite & helpful. The hotel is a fantastic building, in a lovely quiet setting next to the river but with very easy access to the city and surrounding attractions. Breakfast service was well organised with a good choice of hot & cold food.

Fab location close to Oxford, but feel like your in the countryside. Very close to Thames River. Lovely hotel, makes you feel very relaxed and nice walk to local pub on the river with nice walks along the Thames. Very peaceful.

Lovely welcoming staff, with honeycomb from their own bees. Lovely building, quiet and relaxing. Nice spa with treatments. Good buffet breakfast with lots of options overlooking the thames. An hours walk along the thames into oxford. Or a short bus ride from right outside the hotel. Would recommend.

We had a great time at Voco, it's a lovely hotel with great staff. Beautiful pool and grounds, great breakfast. I was a little worried about the location but it was very easy to get the bus to and from central Oxford and the perfect escape from the crowds

Fantastic location in an amazing suite of buildings. Friendly and helpful staff, spacious comfortable and warm rooms. Lovely breakfast and bar. The whole ambience was just relaxing. Bus stop right outside hotel for a cheap 25 min journey to Oxford centre.

Had a great stay - service was brilliant, friendly and professional and the room was as expected. The cooked breakfast buffet was the best we’ve had, the ingredients all seemed to be of a very high standard and there was a very wide range of options. We also utilised the pool which was clean and well looked after.

The cost of the room was £300 and therefore the standard of the Hotel can only be described as disappointing. The hotel was tired. The breakfast was tired and ordinary. The bar food was at best average.

We went away for a long weekend break. We had a fantastic time! The hotel is absolutely lovely. Great location within walking distance of the centre Oxford along the river. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant one Friday evening and the food was great and beautifully presented. The staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing and that made our stay extra special. In particular, the head waiter/manager in the restaurant went out of his way to help. Highly recommend this hotel and we will defintely be returning
