This is not a place to stay if you want lots of amenities, however... This is the place to stay if you want cheaper rates but still a relatively new-&-modern building with a nice-&-big king bed. Staff was very nice. There is not a safe in the room, nor even a mini fridge. Daily housekeeping and free breakfast (simple toast, oatmeal, coffee, and juice) were the amenities. Beach access, luckily, is convenient here because it's literally right down the very same side street as this humble little hotel. Most of the stretches of beach in this region have no direct public access points (controlled by the expensive resorts), so this hotel has that very positive thing going for it. Noise... it can be a lot. The neighborhood has some loud music, on some nights, but it dies off eventually and you can sleep. Just don't expect piece and quiet all the time. Over all, a good place to save money on a room, so long as you're ok with next-to-no amenities.

Nice iff you spend time mostly at the beach. No TV, mini fridge. Coffee maker. Great ac and huge ceiling fan. Comfortable bed. Served its purpose. Great places to eat in short walking distances. 367 steps to the beach from the office. Somebody was their til 9pm for anything you needed after that there ws always a guy watching riggt as you enter the property til the next morning. The Riviera restaurant right next door had great food and service. Live music most nights. Friendly service. There are 2 poochies and a pup that like hanging around and are sweet.

This is a hostel and not a regular hotel so amenities are limited. They only provide two towels, one regular and one small. They have shower gel and shampoo that is in a container attached to the wall. The air-conditioning works well. You have to inform the office to turn on the water if you want to take a shower. They have hot water in the shower. The bed is firm and they only provide two pillows that are thin. For a pillow person like me, it was not the best experience. They provide coffee in the room. They have a safe but the one in my room was not working. They also have tv in the room. However, the best thing with this hotel is its location. It's a walking distance to the beach. The closest one is the Novu beach. Also it is walking distance to many restaurants and a casino in the area. There's a live band at the next hotel which plays loud music until 11 pm. Breakfast is decent. Check in and out is a breeze. For a short stay in Punta Cana away from the commercial resorts, I recommend this place. I may stay here again in my next visit.

Overall 5 rating for staff customer service. They were amazing and attentive. As far as the amenities there are none and WiFi is spotty. There are no tvs or blankets/comforters in the room. Amazing AC temperature throughout the room.

Hiotel is close to the beach and tourists area ! Hotel is well kept more like motel in size and set up !bed sleep well ! Room is small but manageable! Hotel is on a street that leads to the beach , souvenirs stores and restaurants! Weekends be busy with music , folks up and down the streets , but safe area ! Breakfast is good and helpful starts at 8am. Can’t beat price for the location ! Beach has lots of activities for family and music ! Water is clean and warm ! Love the sunset and sunrise ! Folks that live in the area is very friendly! Hotel staff very kind and did a great job assisting during my stay ! Will definitely be back ! Thanks for the hospitality!

We had such a nice stay at the Honky Tonk! It’s a sweet little hotel at a super reasonable rate. It is located in a very convenient location- a block from public beach access and close to many excellent restaurants. The property is clean and well cared for. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy. The staff is so friendly and the breakfast was lovely- far better than what you might get at many brand name hotels. We will stay here again and would happily recommend it to friends :) Thank you!

Arriving you have limited parking, but if you are not driving there is a lot of places to go not far from you, great restaurants and beaches in walking distance. The hotel is nice and the staff is friendly but if you do not speak Spanish it can be difficult so have words and sentences you need to ask prepared beforehand. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room was smaller than anticipated but keep in mind the upkeep could use some work but I found the same issues at a 5 star hotel as well. All in all it was a nice stay.

Nice modern and clean rooms. Great location. Friendly staff. A few things need to be maintained e.g. hangers falling off the wall, the stairs are not even which was a trip and falling hazard. Overall I had a great stay!

Infelizmente, uma experiência decepcionante. O banheiro apresentava condições inadequadas de uso: o suporte da ducha, essencial para utilizá-la como chuveiro, estava quebrado, o que dificultava o banho. A água não esquentava e havia sinais evidentes de ferrugem em várias partes, inclusive no suporte de sabonete líquido e shampoo, que estavam visivelmente deteriorados e mal conservados. Além disso, o quarto não contava com frigobar, o que compromete ainda mais o conforto da estadia. Em resumo, a estrutura é precária. Havia reservado uma diária na chegada e outra na saída, antes de pegarmos o voo e cancelamos virtude dessa experiência horrível.

Suprer recomendo a estadia, bem localizado de frente para mercados, padaria, proximo do ponto de encontro para os passeios e da praia. Quarto limpo, confortável, chuveiro maravilhoso, os funcionários todos simpaticos,prestativo! Agradecimento especial para Norka. Antecepiram meu check-in e postegaram meu check-out sem cobrar nada a mais. Café da manha simples, mas saboroso e servido com todo carinho. Nao tem TV e frigrobar, mas não alterou em nada a minha experiência. Tudo excelente, recomendo a estadia!!!

O banheiro é terrível, com a privada separada do box da ducha; a pessoa no box fica muito exposta, os metais do chuveiro estão completamente enferrujados. Não há local apropriado para secar roupas. Toalhas são surradas e ruins. Os seguranças que ficam durante a noite não são nada simpáticos e ficavam o tempo todo olhando o celular, segurança zero.

It is located in a very convenient location- a block from public beach access and close to many excellent restaurants. The property is clean and well cared for. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy. The staff is so friendly and the breakfast was lovely- far better than what you might get at many brand name hotels. Contratamos inicialmente 5 pernoites, ficamos muito bem acomodados, os apartamentos são novos e bem confortáveis, resolvemos estender nossa estadia por mais 2 dias, combinamos facilmente com os funcionários do hotel sempre solicitos e muito atenciosos. Acho que falta apenas um frigobar no apartamento. Recomendamos.
Contratamos inicialmente 5 pernoites, ficamos muito bem acomodados, os apartamentos são novos e bem confortáveis, resolvemos estender nossa estadia por mais 2 dias, combinamos facilmente com os funcionários do hotel sempre solicitos e muito atenciosos. The closest one is the Novu beach. Also it is walking distance to many restaurants and a casino in the area. There's a live band at the next hotel which plays loud music until 11 pm. Breakfast is decent. Check in and out is a breeze. For a short stay in Punta Cana away from the commercial resorts, I recommend this place. I may stay here again in my next visit.

My room was extremely small with no tv. The shower didn't have a door to close or a curtain so the water went all over the floor. There were mosquitos buzzing in my ear while I was trying to sleep. The handle on our door broke and they never fixed it even though I was told a technician would come, so I did not feel safe. There were only sheets on the bed and no blanket. The breakfast was not good.

We had such a nice stay at the Honky Tonk! It’s a sweet little hotel at a super reasonable rate. It is located in a very convenient location- a block from public beach access and close to many excellent restaurants. The property is clean and well cared for. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy. The staff is so friendly and the breakfast was lovely- far better than what you might get at many brand name hotels. We will stay here again and would happily recommend it to friends :) Thank you!

Staff was very nice. There is not a safe in the room, nor even a mini fridge. Daily housekeeping and free breakfast (simple toast, oatmeal, coffee, and juice) were the amenities. Beach access, luckily, is convenient here because it's literally right down the very same side street as this humble little hotel. Noise... it can be a lot. The neighborhood has some loud music, on some nights, but it dies off eventually and you can sleep. Just don't expect piece and quiet all the time. The property is very nice, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast is simple but very delicious, it is 2 minutes from the beach, i did have to ask the maids for fresh towels several times but they either didnt understand or kept forgetting, however the lovely lady at reception solved it instantly

Ótimo custo beneficio. Ficamos 3 diárias para fazer os passeios e foi a melhor escolha. O café da manhã é das 08 as 10h, porém tinhamos passeio as 07:30 e eles já deixam seu café da manhã pronto para você conseguir comer antes de ir. Muito bom. Recomendo bastante a estadia.

The hotel’s location was excellent and very convenient for exploring the area. The staff was truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our stay.
