The property is still under some type of renovation. They should not open until it is complete. The elevator wasn't working, the construction debris was still visible and unattractive. Also, my room (307) smelled of urine, strong enough in the shower that I didn't use it. It was not visible but the odor was strong. The bed and air conditioning were exceptional though. That's why I didn't complain to the staff. They were fine, just the property condition was much lower than I am used to when staying at Holiday Inn Express properties.

Recently renovated, this hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable, conveniently located off I5 with easy access to gas. We were so happy with our stay. The only thing that was missing was available parking for our vehicle with trailer. We had to remove the trailer and park next to it. That said, the area seemed quiet and safe, so we weren't worried. Staff was nice. Hot coffee was available at 5 a.m.

The parking lot and spaces were occupied by huge trucks leaving no parking space for cars for other guests. The parking lot resembles a truck depot instead of a hotel parking lot.

Picked this hotel specifically for the indoor pool. Arrived and it was not heated and it’s the worlds smallest pool! It was freezing and the kids didn’t last more than 10 mins. We had to pay to go to Water Works and then to the aquatic center. Breakfast was ok. We came down one morning and it was slim pickings. The trash bins are always to the brim. Only positive is that the bed was comfortable. They are seriously understaffed. Booked for 5 people and there were 3 towels. No sheets for the pullout. Called for extra towels and had to go downstairs to get more from the front desk.

Everything looks good except for the pool. They filled in the hottub which is a big bummer for those of us who like to have a good soak after a long day of travel.

We had room 212 and the bed we slept in had a dirty sheet. We had to remover that and just used the comforter. We opted to not tell the hotel staff because we didn’t want any worse treatment.

I make it a point to stay at Holiday Inn's as I travel because of the consistency of cleanliness . This property was newly remodeled????? the air vents in my room were completely rusted , the bathtub stopper was broken , the TV didn't work , the pancake maker needed a battery that was not ordered ( according to staff) the pool is the size of a jacuzzi and not heated it was TOOOOO cold to even out your feet in. The air conditioner / heater was old and full of dirt and chipped paint from the old windows above it. The windows were filthy. I wore white socks in my room and they were gray with dirt after a couple of hours. Looks to me like the "remodel" was done with minimal care. Worst Holiday Inn I have EVER stayed in. I do want to say that the staff did their best to remedy what they could, they changed rooms so that we had a TV that worked and they had the bathtub fixed. The rest was out of their hands and on the hands of the OWNERS.

The hotel itself was nice and clean. The breakfast was okay. Although, the eggs were terrible. A couple things with our room: - the blanket had a big stain on it, we weren’t sure if the blanket was changed so we requested a sheet to put on top. Luckily, we always bring our own blankets - there was only one bath towel - the bathroom wasn’t cleaned too well. The shower had hairs and there was visible mildew/mold. I had to put a hand towel in the shower to stand on while I showered. - there wasn’t any wi-fi info in the room and we weren’t given any info at the front desk.

Terrible location as there is not a restaurant for about 3 or 4 miles. Tv is not good. Difficult to make it work and select viewing. Toilet seat is broken. Coffee and plastic cups scarce. Window shade is broken so it does not go up. Freeway noise all night We will not stay here again.

Room was fine, what you'd expect. Layout was a little strange, bathroom door awkward, blocked access in room. However, downgraded because Wi-Fi was lousy. You could see the signal strength vacillate from 0 to maybe 2 bars, just a weak signal if you got it at all.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is in a neighborhood that is desolate and there are no dining locations nearby. Rooms are setup in such a way that the wash basin is outside the bathrooms. Breakfast is standard fare for the hotel and nothing special.

Pros: Great stay for sleeping over on a road trip. Check in was organized and easy. Room was spacious with comfortable beds and nice linens. Cons: Close to the freeway can easily hear traffic. Refrigerator too small (tiny cube). Elevator was clunky, slow, and warm inside.

Great front desk service. Always greeted with a smile and “welcome back” when coming and going. We stayed 2 nights on the weekend and though conveniently located just off the freeway the hotel was quiet; didn’t even hear neighboring guests. Double window coverings in perfect condition gave real “blackout” room conditions for sleeping. Comfortable bed with multiple pillow options. Will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Reading. The room was comfortable. The pillows were good. The mattress was good. However, the shower is a tub step in shower with no texture on the floor of the bathtub so when you’re up taking a shower, you feel like you might slip and the toilet was way too low. My husband and I are in our 70s so these issues are concerns to us. We also enjoyed the breakfast. It was very good.

I found this property on Google. According to Google pets are accepted at this property. I booked my stay but decided to call the hotel because, once I reviewed the hotel on Expedia, it states that only service animals are allowed. The hotel confirmed this with me and called me back 45 minutes later telling me that my reservation was transferred to another Holiday Inn in the same city. I showed up to the other Holiday Inn at 11:00 PM and was told that I wasn’t in the system and that they were fully occupied. They told me to drive down the street to a third Holiday Inn to see if I was in there system which I wasn’t. They had two rooms available but none allowing dogs. Unfortunately I was left scrambling to find a room which I finally did close to midnight. Please beware that this hotel ONLY accepts service dogs and don’t believe Google!

Christina at the front desk was very helpful. My reservation was somehow stuck in the computer system and she took the time to help me by letting me settle down in my room first and when my prepaid reservation finally showed up in the hotels computer she let me know so I could complete the check-in process. She is very patient and resourceful and handled the situation very professionally. She deserves a commendation

The front office lady was not friendly. Supposedly the room was a non-smoking and it smelled really bad like smoke plus it was dirty, we found hair ties on the floor, and a fry beside one of the beds, gross. The microwave had cheese stains on the door. The sink area had dirty stains. Not soundproof, you can hear the street noise very loud. The toilet did not work properly. Over all dissatisfied, did not sleep well due to the pungent smell and loud noise.

The receptionists need to be nicer to everyone not just pick and choose. When customer is not happy with their room staff should be willing to accommodate but instead whine that she is busy and why asking now to be switch room.

We booked our room through Expedia at 11:00 p.m., just before arriving at the hotel. There was a slight problem with the booking, but Bonnie at the front desk was determined to help us. Several other people were checking in, while other guest were coming down from their rooms wanting to pay for snacks. Bonnie was by herself and she was courteous, calm, hospitable and extremely helpful to every single person. Not only did she take care of everyone amongst the chaos, but she managed to sort through our issue and get us into our room so we didn’t have to move to another hotel. She went above and beyond. Thank you, Bonnie. As for the hotel; it was clean, rooms were adequate and the location off of the I-5 was nice.

The reception in the evening was very good however upon check in the hotel was over booked which put us (as a family) into two rooms and not the one we paid for. Of the two rooms, one tv didnt work and one door wouldnt lock when leaving the room. I advised the staff of the security issue and they only wrote a note about it. Upon checking out i waited to speak with someone at the desk and after 17 minutes, we gave up and left our room keys in the key drop for check out. Very discouraging experience.

The hotel was in a great location-right off the freeway adn 15 minutes to food. Room and hotel was clean. The breakfast was amazing. Not just a continental. The only con is that is was so noisy. It was hard to sleep. I wod recommend bur get a room on the opposite side of the freeway.

Staff were amazing and very kind especially the front desk lady’s. But honestly when you wake up in the morning after a 11 hour drive, you’d at least hope there was food in the breakfast area that they advertise. There was literally no food besides a bagel or two. Nothing was being refilled by staff and for the price of this hotel you’d think there would be breakfast for us. It was honestly upsetting and it was just this location though , every other holiday inn that we have stayed at on our trip it was amazing. Definitely not this one but again staff were amazing and the front desk lady’s made us feel like we were at home

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Room had fridge and microwave. Indoor pool was small and cold. The surrounding was quiet and staff was helpful. Breakfast was awesome (egg with cheese was awesome, however had scrambled eggs one day which was ok). Breakfast potato, turkey sausage, biscuits and gravy, warm/moist cinnamon roll )they were good), hard boiled eggs, nice size and variety of yogurt flavors. Cereal, nuts milk, juices, decent coffee and tea. Their muffins were not the cheap commercial one's either. In short, they had "Great Breakfast". If the pool size was bigger with a hot tub, this would have been "Awesome Place". Overall great experience, would recommend it to others. We travel a lot with kids so safe place with great breakfast for families.
