My rating has to do with 1) a large cash deposit neither Expedia nor comfort cared to disclose to me prior to arrival 2) no compensation for my time and inconvenience at having to run out to find a bank and get said deposit (because I’m a local in CA apparently it’s required due to increased vandalism in this circumstances) 3) pool and hot tub shut down and neither Expedia nor comfort cared to disclose prior to our arrival 4) we search for indoor pool hot tub during winter for obvious reasons which limits our options so the non disclosures become even more frustrating,

Stay was fine for a couple nights. Breakfast was pretty good, but breakfast room was small. Get there early if you don't want to eat in your room. Hot tub was warm enough, but jets didn’t work. Room was clean. Property is older, but they have done a decent job keeping it up to par. Good restaurants close. Would stay again if in the area.

Good to Great - Service (when vending machine didn't work, helped out; was polite when told about plugged up sink in room), swimming pool, breakfast, location. Fair to Poor - plugged up sink (could loosen plug in sink; had to brush teeth in bathtub), TV service without instructions and difficult to access; when figured out took a LONG time to load..., spa not working and full of what appeared to be algae. No notice spa unavailable when reserving.

this hotel charged me a $200 cash deposit because i had a local address on my driver's license. never in my 64 years of life have i ever been charged such a fee. the website also said there was a hot tub. when we arrived we were told the hot tub was only seasonal and closed in December. if we had known these 2 facts, we never would have booked your hotel.

The facility was not locked down at night even though it stated it was. The back door was completely missing it's locking mechanism. Ended up killing roaches in my room, mold in my shower lots of transients traveling through the hotel. Such a disappointment never again

Check in was easy and that was great. They got us rooms next to each other no problem. At first glance i thought this was going to be a pleasant surprise. After all, you get what you pay for. I wasnt expecting much. We couldn't swim in the pool because there were tweakers hanging out outside the pool who weren't even guests at the hotel and it made my children deeply uncomfortable. The pool was also incredibly dirty. Not on an outdoircpool way, in a, the chemicals aren't balanced and it hasn't been cleaned all season way and there were large debris and dead bugs in it. The hot tub wasn't even operational. No mention of that on the website or at check in. The rooms were dirty. The mattresses are stained. There were only 2 towels in a room that claims to sleep 5. The tv was tiny and not easy to use. There was what appeared to be boogers on the wall and suspuciously brown droplets in the door. There were bottle caps on the floor, which was also stained in a way that implies out hasn't been cleaned in a few years. It was really very disappointing and if I had paid more I would've been very upset. One bed didn't even have a top blanket. The other bed in the room did. The second room we had was nicer, had a large tv, but wasn't any cleaner.

breakfast was okay, nothing special. The staff was not friendly. The room was absolutely disgusting. Stains in the sink, bathroom, floors and something that looked like blood on the curtain. Worst hotel I have stayed in. Will never come back. I rarely leave reviews but this was really bad.

Reasonable price. Multiple stains on carpets inside and outside the room. Several beetle or roach like insects in the room. Bathtub did not appear clean but it could have just been stained. Bathroom wall with dried yellowish drips down the wall. Beds were clean. Hot breakfast was a plus.

Our room was dirty, food in the drawers. Hair in the tub, along with bathtub ring. Sink cracked in many places. Large Carpet stains in many places. Dark and dingy. No mattress pad on bed, and bottom sheet kept falling off. I wore slippers everywhere because the floors seemed so dirty. Mirror streaked with haze film and toothpaste. I’m not going to stay there again. Sad, I did let them know about our room at check out. No compensation offered or made. I didn’t feel comfortable to complain during the stay…so we endured it! Also, the room smelled stale and dirty. No thank you to this comfort inn..it wasn’t cheap either! Everything was just run down.

Will not stay here again. Dirty couch floor and bathroom. My pillow case did not look changed and had black specs on it. Front desk did exchange it. Fold out couch had no linen, had to back to the front desk and was just given sheets. If you have a family good luck getting a table for breakfast. Dinning area was very small.

We would not stay at this property ever again. When we checked in and got to our room there was no toilet paper or towels. I went downstairs and asked for both and was told there were no towels! They finally did give us some floor mat towels. Then we went to put some drinks in the fridge and there was leftover chicken and tortillas from previous guests. The room was not even remotely clean either. Be warned about this property!

Room was very dirty, there was a beetle in the bathroom, earwig in the room, dead flies and cigarette butts (non smoking room) in the window sill. We only had 3 mismatched bath towels for the 4 of us. No hand towels or wash clothes. Carpet was very stained and there were food crumbs in the drawers. Hot tub was not in working order. Bed was at least comfortable.

Other than there being a few cobwebs in the room that were pretty easy to spot, it was a nice, clean and wonderfully spacious room. We were in a room with 2 kings and a sleeper sofa. It has a small balcony, with nice view of the mountains. Beds and pillows are nice and comfy, the layout of the room was great. Breakfast in the morning was tasty, and the scrambeled eggs were SO good. A nice breakfast for being complimentary. Will likely stay here the next time we come to Redding.

It was very noisy, we had a room at the end of the hall near an exit/entrance door. And the ac sounded like it was an off balance washing machine. There were no instructions on how to operate the tv with no tv guide, no info on when breakfast was serve or where. The bathroom is in need of a remodel, very outdated and in disrepair. The only thing positive was the beds were very comfortable with no bed bugs.

I have to give a shout out to Crystal at the front desk. She was SO accommodating and helpful. The hotel is understaffed - like EVERY business these days - but Crystal went out of her way to get us what we wanted.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! The staff is wonderful bonnie the front desk clerk was very professional and very accommodating she was super nice and helped me rebook after hotels com, put me on hold for an hour and wouldnt helpme she made it much easeier to figure it out the rooms very clean and smelled nice .. , not from here and it's close to all things of places to eat and things to do as well

Staff was phenomenal! We checked in after midnight but were greeted with a smile and a “No Problem” when I requested more towels and sheets for the couch bed. In the morning the staff encouraged to go ahead and sit and enjoy breakfast even though we were late for their posted breakfast time. Our room was clean and the beds were comfy. The hotel had a very cute and welcoming exterior and lobby.

This hotel was close to the freeway which was its only plus. Bathroom was moldy, window had so much condensation you couldn’t see out of it. There was a homeless camp outside the window with a big pit bull off leash so I didn’t feel great walking my little dog especially alone. The hot tub was out of order and the elevator was crazy slow.

Do not stay at this property. Where to start? 1. Not recommended if you’re travelling with a family. 2. Appears to be more of a long-term rental, then a hotel. 3. The room was Not clean The bathtub had a stain on it that appeared to be old. 4. The room had an odd smell to it, That made me want to gag. My wife and I are well traveled, and we both agreed that we would not spend the night in this hotel. It did not live up to the comfort Inn brand. Note that we left this hotel after spending less than half an hour in this location. My kids, wife and I did not feel safe and wanted to leave. We book the night at a near by Holiday Inn. They did say they were aware of the hotel.

Overall, the stay was good. Some "sketchy" people outside the back parking lot, swearing at each other around 2:45am. Probably homeless. When we first booked, we thought it was the location closer to Shasta Lake, near the Fairfield Hotel/Motel. Nothing wrong with our stay over all and the price was right. We did bring our 3 mini schnauzers. No mess, Dogs were very good, took them out before we went to sleep around 11pm and had them up at 5:50am again.

My review has nothing to do with the staff. They were good, i have no complaints there, but the area was scary. I was worried our vehicle was going to get broken into. The room was not great.. i mean it was worth what we paid for it and we slept fine but the bathroom smelled like pee and it was just worn down. I will say that the breakfast was pretty good. So some positives and some negatives but i definitely couldn't stay again.

The room was great and surprisingly large. I was pleasantly surprised how clean everything was after reading the other reviews for this property. It was like they stayed in a completely different hotel! We also enjoyed having a hot breakfast of eggs, sausage and potatoes before hitting the road for home.
