Days Inn by Wyndham Destin

Very disappointed that floors were filthy beyond dirty. Bathroom fan sounded like a plane landing in bathroom but had to use if you wanted light. Two switches but on one wire. Ice maker didn’t work. I did bring to attention front desk with evidence. Just sorry no discount or vouchers or change a room. Absolutely nothing to compensate. It wasn’t the only inexpensive hotel. Health dept or Florida dept may need to be notified. Expedia thanks for the rate but don’t recommend these nasty places!!

Was a last minute trip for my wife and I. First off the young lady at the front deck should not be in customer service very rude…says on hotels.com it is a 5 minute walk too beach….30 minute at minimum. Coffee maker was broke ice machine was broke. toilet would not flush toilet paper. But it was quiet because no one was there. Not happy at all other than shower works bed is ok.

I went with my daughter for mom, daughter vacation, and we had the best time. Beautiful water, lot of things to do. The hotel was great. The ice machine didn't work, but I that's fine with us. It was clean, comfortable, and the management was really nice

The rooms smelled awful! Hair dryer did not work the outlet with it was ready to fall out of the wall. The room and bed in general just did not want to make you stay. The pool was cloudy. Read reviews after the fact none were good including many complaints of bed bugs. We immediately left I have been emailing the manager for 3 days for a refund has not answered me yet!! Next email/call will be to corporate!

We used the property for sleeping in the evening. The $16.00 Resort fee charged at check in was a surprise. the room was very outdated and needed repair in the bathroom and flooring. Our room was right next to the pool area and young adults were out there having a good time loudly.

The only good thing about this hotel it is located off the main drag so everything is pretty much co-located and easy to get to. Me and my friends were only there one night so we tolerated the nasty room. The room was very outdated, very small... the bathroom sink is NOT in the bathroom, it is in the living area! There is a tub/shower and the toilet in the bathroom and it was nasty and old and the water pressure was terrible! We also found a lizard behind the toilet! Yes it's Florida, but at least check the room for rodents before renting it! They also don't offer a continental breakfast and their pool is very small and the area around the pool just looked cheap and dingy.... the room towels and wash clothes were also cheap, thin and old! Thank goodness we were only there one night which was tolerable but any longer than that and we would have checked out and found another hotel!

Pictures are very misleading. Majority of pool chairs are broken. Floor tiles in room broken and sticking up waiting to slice your foot. The sofa in room looks like a thrift store find from the 70s and home to lord knows what animals. When first entering room strong oder of PinSol floors still moist.. does not look like the floors have been deep scrubbed as shoes marks still there. Rust stains in TP holder.. i sadly dont recommend this place. Pay the extra $10 go to another motel. Not even sure there is Breakfast

Pool water was clean- that’s it. Area around pool was nasty- room was a smoking room and stunk so bad - will never stay here again.

We got to the property and were told we would have free breakfast and free cribs which neither was provided. I was told it was probably an error online they don’t know why it was showing for that. After going into the rooms it was very dirty on the floor we had to buy a mop to clean it. Then they gave us two towels at a time to use and there was 6 of us so we had to reuse towels. There were people all night jiggling the door handles trying to get in and then all day was so noisy from leaf blowers to every noise from the staff so trying to get a baby to sleep was not the best place to do it. Then access to a beach was not good even though it’s right across from a beach there is no public access so that was disappointing. The pool had so many people eating and drinking in it that we scooped out several pieces of food and cleaned up peoples trash so my toddlers wouldn’t pick it up. Over all I won’t be back but I guess if you need a cheap place to stay then that’s your place

This hotel was by far the dirtiest one we’ve stayed at. Pictures online look decent but in person it was bad. The floor was so dirty and the bed feels like it was 80 years old, caved in and messed up my back

Cockroaches on pillow, filthy room at checkin

Don’t recommend, over priced for the room. Room was dirty, drinks left in the refrigerator, clear debris on the floor. Needed somewhere to stay and there was no refunds. Pictures was nothing like the actual room. Tv didn’t work, iron was broken and covered in rust. Towels were stained. There was an opening between the door and floor.

How dirty it was compared to other properties nearby

The room was absolutely filthy it reeked of smoke and what seemed like body odor. Before taking a shower I put a full size bath towel down on the shower floor when I came out I used it to shuffle my way across the floor to the bed so I could sit on the bed without touching the floor the bottom of the towel where my feet were was black the place was absolutely disgusting molding coming off of the wall holes behind the door where the door knob had been covered by a piece of wood that been painted over rust coming from the shower head only half of the nozzles actually working the place was absolutely disgusting.

Awful experience upon entry the room was filthy and infested with bedbugs immediately left and was refused a refund! Staff was incredibly rude as well in addressing the situation !

UPON CHECK IN THE SHEETS WERE FILTHY, WE WERE ADVISED THAT HOUSEKEEPING WAS OUT AND WE WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE DIRTY SHEETS OURSELVES. THE FLOORS WERE SO DIRTY WE HAD TO WALK ON OUR TOWELS AND SHEETS. THE POLICE WERE THERE EVERYDAY FOR DIFFERENT REASONS. NO BREAKFAST, NO INTERNET, AND THE TV HAD A LINE THROUGH IT. THE STAFF WERE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. WE WERE GIVEN THE INTERNET PROVIDERS PHONE NUMBER TO CALL AND HAVE THEM TROUBLESHOOT THE INTERNET. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I COULD NOT SLEEP AT ALL. PLEASE SEE PICTURES OF BUGS UNDER THE COVERS.

The location is great but the actual room was not as expected. It felt dirty. The microwave and fridge were dirty on the outside the chairs and sofas were dusty. It just wasnt that clean. At least the beds were comfortable.

There was no WIFI which put a huge dent in our plans. The gave us a password but didnt work, THEN wanted us to contact customer support. Bathroom door would not stay closed or lock which made showering privacy difficult. No breakfast offered. Nothing, zero, zilch. Sheets were never changed or cleaned on our 5 day, 4 night stay. Iron was missing from room,so clothes were wrinkled the entire trip. Coffee machine only made 4oz cup of watered down cheap coffee. BRING YOUR OWN! Staff was not helpful. The property looked nothing like the pics offered up here. Wished i would have spent more and got a condo. The good: location, easy walk to beach. A pizza hut, chick fil a, and waffle house only a short walk away. We paid only a little over $100 per night in august.

A little loud outside

Overall, the stay was not extravagant. The floors were dirty, we wore shoes the entire time inside. The air conditioner made a weird noise & we were located by the pool & could hear carrying on way into the early hours of the morning. It didn’t feel very clean on the inside & the lobby had a very weird smell.

You get what you pay for. Was not cheap, but cheaper than most. Poor maintenence, shabby.

The staff was friendly and helpful. And my room was very clean. The bed linens also looked new. However, the furnishings were in very sad condition. And the couch was very stained and in poor condition. There were also some broken tiles in my bathroom. And I have one other complaint. The pictures make it look like there is a breakfast area. There isn't. There is also NOT a restaurant on site. There is a Pizza Hut next door, though. Beach access is a short drive away despite the hotel being across the street from it. It's a fine hotel and appropriately priced for what it offers. But it needs an update and a partnership with one of the condos across the street to allow people beach access.

Front desk, was on a personal call during my check-in i was like shes talking to me or the phone call. Room was really big and nice but we requested non smoking and this one definitely smelled at smoking cigarettes.

For non Smoking room it smelled like smoking one. The doors were not insulated or even sound proof.

Above and beyond staff that makes your entire stay even better!

The hotel is good, the rooms are what you pay for, the only thing I didn’t like is that I paid before getting there, and they asked for a $50 deposit( I had 2 rooms for family so I ended up paying $100) it would be okay if they let you know first, but they don’t. I’ve been here twice. Last year and this year around the same month(last year they didn’t charge for a deposit), and the same woman at the counter has been there, I remembered her because of her bad customer service. She will not have patience explaining things. We didn’t know we also had to pay for $20 extra for getting there earlier(it’s understandable, but we have never been asked to pay for that before) so when I asked what was the extra $40 for(remember we had 2 rooms) she looked annoyed and when she told us about the $50 extra my dad got kinda upset because they don’t let you know in the Expedia app and she tried to blame us because we did it on Expedia and not in their app. The guy that seems like the owner had really good customer service and he explained everything to us. We got our things and said thank you and the woman didn’t even bother to say “you’re welcome” or anything. The next day after getting our deposit back and returning the room cards, we said thank you again and she ignored us. Overall The hotel is pretty decent but the customer service from the woman makes you not want to go anymore.

Roaches, no service, front desk unable to cancel, had me come multiple times when manager promised to be there, manger was not there, wasted a whole day of my trip. If you are reading this, do not stay here, it will be the worst vacation experience you have ever had. An absolute SCAM

We had a great time. Welcomed with a smiling face. Only issue really was the coffee was out one of the nights. And the front desk girl that night was not interested in helping me. She stayed on her cell phone. I was able to turn the coffee maker back on. She stated it’s always turned off. It was on the other nights. I added a pictures.

When we (tried to) check-in, very early in the morning, we found out that Days Inn had cancelled our reservation and no rooms were available. After pressing them, the front desk gave us a room but it had already been slept in and was dirty. The room hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupant. We had to find other accomodations. Now we find out Days Inn won't refund the cost for them cancelling our room. This is unacceptable.

First, upon arrival at check in,the clerk was rude and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. She also wanted to charge me property fees for the three nights my wife and I had paid Expedia in advance. I showed her my cell phone receipt from Expedia which clearly indicated room fees(3 nights),property taxes (3 nights) and taxes had been paid in full. She tried to claim that their records showed the property tax had not been paid. She said my credit card would evidence this. I checked my credit card account after returning home from our trip. It showed the exact charges that my Expedia receipt showed. I can only believe that they were being dishonest with me. The property itself was VERY old, The room phone didn’t work and they didn’t make any effort to give me any reason as to why. The vinyl flooring was so dirty in the room that my white socks turned black on the bottom. Apparently they don’t mop and rinse the floors. The main illuminating light over the sink blinked at times as if thought it were a strobe. I don’t recommend Days Inn by Wyndham Destin. I will never stay with them again.

They don’t clean the room, only maked the beds but they never changed the sheets! They daily change the towels but only 2, I we are 4 people, we need to asked for more at the front office!

I pre-checked in online, I was told on the online site All the needs to show is my ID in the keys would be ready I got hassled at the front desk and the girl checking us in took about 20 minutes she was very rude I'll never stay at this place again

Walking distance to beach

I like how it wasn't far from anything we needed. Even the beach.

Overall, for the price of the room , was not horrible. The room was clean, how ever many things were out dated , damaged , stained etc( how ever that did not impact our stay) The pool was clean, and we had no issues getting extra towels at any point. We arrived early and was allowed early check in, for a price (45$).The big thing I would note, is that it’s about a 15 minute walk to the entrance to the beach, unless your able to find another way, or it’s a very short drive. Me and my fiancé are young and in great shape, but the walk in 90 degree plus heat was miserable and we had little to nothing to carry .The ac in the room worked great which is a must for me, location was ok(8 min drive to harbor village) and right next store or a short walk to the water park. Starbucks and chicklfa in under 5 minutes of walking which was a plus. Overall this hotel was worth it, you get what you pay. My only cons would be the old damaged furniture in the room and bathroom. But the beds were clean and comfortable.

Very convenient location, close to the beach but not outrageously priced. 2 min drive to several beach access points and food/activities. Friendly staff.

Cheap and affordable and walking distance to the beach and attractions

My stay was great. But when ask for more covers at night they didn’t have none they didn’t ask if we need towels or if our trash needed to be gotten out. But for the price it was worth it. They did try to charge me 350 more then what I was told and said I should get it back in a few business days I said no and the beach is not walking distance might as well drive to the public park then walk

best vacation i had in along time, convience to near by excursion and tiki boat rides and other activities on the strip.

There is no close access to beach. Most is private property with only about 90 feet public.

Awful. The room was not like it looked Online. It was dirty and not a Quality Hotel. I was really shocked. at how they have not kept up the appearance of this Days Inn on the Beach. They did not serve any breakfast. Not even an apple. I would never stay here again and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

The bathroom was not cleaned from previous family that stayed. There was one towel to accommodate a family suite and we had to make extra trips to request more towels for the family. The television didn’t work and had to request replacement wires in order for that to work. The bed's were extremely uncomfortable. We woke up feeling unrested and achy. Continental Breakfast was advertised while picking the hotel on hotels.com but none was provided, just cold coffee. The pictures on the site were deceiving, showing an oceanside oasis. Think twice before booking.
