Stayed here for wedding night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The roof top with artificial fireplaces was a highlight at night where fireworks were able to be seen on Thursday night. Staff and patrons were amazing at the rooftop and made our special day end perfectly.

Husband & I celebrate 30 yrs during our stay. Private beach access was the best. However, it is a little bit of a walk through the property, across the pool & street. We didn’t mind the relaxing nature walk. The beach had the softest white sand. The water was beautiful emerald/turquoise when it’s nice & sunny out. Just gorgeous! Rooms are clean & spacious. Bikes included w/ resort fee. We rode 5 miles to and from on the scenic road along the ocean. Bartender makes great cocktails. Gym had everything we needed. Including Tonal machine & Peloton. Lots of free games and activities for the entire family. We will definitely stay here again.

Property is gorgeous. Staff is very nice. Downside is everyday we were there there were weddings so alot of the common areas were blocked off so really rhe only areas we had available were the pool areas and the restraunts. It would have been nice for paying staff to be prioritized as well and be able to use all areas.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Henderson! Every part of the property was stunning. From the private beach (yes, even a shoe rack!), to the excellent service, valet, restaurants, adults-only pool, and complimentary bikes—everything made my experience unforgettable. Two nights just weren’t enough! I’ll definitely be returning. P.S. I left a dress in the closet, and they promptly mailed it back. Amazing service!

One of the pools was under construction and closed while we were there. Luckily there were two other pools to use. They have great amenities. Walking distance to the ocean with chairs/ umbrellas for a daily fee. They had plenty of spots to wash sand off your feet. Bar by the private beach had good lunch type food. The water pressure in the tub was terrible- want to take a bath forget it. The tub might fill in a few hours. The toilet also ran for an unusually long time and their WiFi was done for the last part of our trip which also mean all their systems were down. The Nespresso in room and Starbucks machine down the hall will chilled water fill up stations was amazing. We were not impressed with the Spa Massages or pedicures as they weren’t the quality we get at home and cost about triple. Overall we had a great time.

This is a beautiful property with a lot of different bars and dining options (although beware - it's standard resort pricing - but there are many other options in the area). The spa is also really nice and has a lot of options for treatments. The view from our room was unbeatable, looking out over the nature preserve. It was very quiet, probably the quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. The reasons for the 4 stars: 1) We arrived at 2:30 pm and were not able to check in until 3:30. Even though this is within the time listed in the policy, in my experience, it's kind of rare for a hotel to keep you waiting for so long this late in the day. 2) The staff were awesome but some of them seemed stretched a bit thin - eg there was only one server/busser/bartender in the restaurant during the lunch rush, and the kitchen was very far away, so there would be long times when there was no one available. Again, the staff were fantastic - this seems like a planning problem on the part of the resort. 3) Be prepared to be steeply charged for everything - beach chair rentals, snacks, parking, bottled water, etc. 4) Small details, but if you're driving you should bring your own TP (the stuff they have is very cheap, basically single-ply) and pillows (the pillows are so flat they're basically like having nothing at all)

I had such high hopes for this resort. So pretty. Looked high end. But the staff were very disorganized. Communication was a disaster. Everything was slow. The food was mediocre at best. Took two hour to be served at their restaurant. A lot of waiting time. Very expensive good that was either over cooked or undercooked. Couldn’t get them to fill our shampoo in the shower until I walked out at asked housekeeping in the hall for a bottle of it in my robe. Dusty dirty rooms. Hair ties under the bed. Hair in the corners. Bees nest on the decks. Just not very well managed. The managers tried very hard to accommodate us when we got frustrated with the service and food issues. But, their staff was not good. So things promised didn’t actually happen. I even have to give this resort a 1 star for privacy issues. Even with the do not disturb sign on the door. The housekeeping would try to come in. Sometimes with out knocking. Or wouldn’t give enough time to jump up and stop them. Trying to come in the room at 8:30 in the morning. We even get walked in on when showering. Very disturbing. This happened all week even after we complained.

We had to ask 3 times for room cleaning. Don’t go to this hotel if you like a quite and romantic ambiance. Too many families with screaming babies and kids that wake you up in the morning.

This was a good stay! Conveniently located close to anything you could possibly need, the property is well maintained. I believe all rooms have a balcony which is great (would be nice to have a table with the chairs). There were two things that bothered me about this place: cleanliness and accessibility for the disabled. The rooms could be cleaner. There’s not a lot of attention to detail here when there should be given it’s on the beach. Lots of salt, sand, dust and grime on common surfaces but also near headboards and tables. They also don’t volunteer all parking options or the price at check in. There is self park and valet. If you are disabled and have a disabled parking permit they will valet for free. This is not the most convenient option for those who are disabled, which I am. I’d like to be able to park my own car and take my time unpacking without the rush of the valet or feeling obligated to tip. There is plenty of space to dedicate for disabled parking near the valet stand/registration. All things considered this was a good stay. I would recommend this place to friends and family provided the above feedback is addressed.

Such a beautiful property. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved that the beach was just a few minutes walk away and that we could very easily rent chairs and an umbrella. The only thing we would have liked to see in our room was a mini fridge (not just a cooler thats provided) as well as a microwave.

The Henderson Resort and spa is a beautiful place. The service is first class. The room was so pretty and the bed was comfortable. We had a king room with gulf view but there was quite a bit of road noise, construction and tour helicopters that made sitting on our balcony less than relaxing. We sat by the adult pool for awhile but the water was too cool for me. The grounds are meticulously kept. We walked on the beach several times. It was a 15 minute walk from our room (a bit of a maze to get there) We ordered room service and used the pool bar and breakfast restaurant while we were there. The food was good but pricey. We were going to try the spa but again it seemed a bit overpriced for Destin. Destin was not what we were hoping. Such a gorgeous coastline that has been spoiled by over development. Chain stores and restaurants aren't what we are looking for in a vacation destination. That's why Orlando doesn't top our list of Florida hot spots. We won't be coming back, but if a busy tourist town is your idea of fun, the Henderson Resort is a lovely place to stay.

The room wasn't as pristine as I had expected for the price. We had a hole on one side of one of the beds and that was unfortunate. One phone in the room didn't work and you couldn't call down to the staff. Room service was too expensive, but that's normal.

Stay was average. Size of rooms were nice. There were shutters between the room and bathroom that we didn't necessarily enjoy. We had requested cushions for our balcony furniture and had received incorrect cushions. There was not a refrigerator. Walk to the beach was nice. Pools were nice.

Room spacious and clean. View was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed and linens comfortable. No tea bags or machine cups in room as listed. Spa advertising for special build your own package pricing was misleading. Manager admitted as much but did not offer to abide by the printed advertised statement. Was disappointing. Parking very convenient. Access to beach could not have been better. Beach cantina was preparing to close for the season at end of week as a result some items not in stock.

The hotel facilities are excellent and beautiful but they are way understaffed at the restaurants. When we checked in, the room was not ready when it was supposed to be. No apologies or here go get a free drink. The credit card machine kept rejecting my card on check-in and I told them it wasn’t my cards, it was on their end. They told me I needed to call my bank but I could tell it was on their end as there was plenty of credit on those cards and the attempted charge was not even registering. It was only when another guest checking in had the exact same issue that they realized it was on their end but a stressful 10 minutes and again no apology. The staffing at restaurant is biggest issue - seems like they were not ready for prime time.

From the moment I checked in, the service was very impressive. Nice people who really seemed to care. Eva in room service was lovely and Sergey at the pool bar both really made and effort and helped make the experience amazing ! Looking forward to going back soon!!! Front desk people were very friendly also.

The staff was borderline terrible. And everything inside the hotel is designed to cost you money well beyond what you probably budgeted. Including authorized charges in advance on your card that you yourself didn’t authorize and if you exceed the first authorization amount they charge another 700$ authorized charge. Except nobody tells you

Absolute paradise! The Henderson Beach Resort was a dream vacation. The most amazing staff too. Sheree the concierge went above and beyond for my stay. She was wonderful. I would recommend to anyone to stay here! I will for sure be coming back!

Check in was terrible. Front desk was not helpful and put my children on the couch because they couldn’t give us the room we booked. Valet is 5 star but front desk had a bag full of can’t do and won’t do 0 stars. I don’t recognize this place after all of these years staying here

The hotel its self was very nice but of course its much more than if you stayed at a Hampton so you expect five star service. We had issue which where the person beside us had dog which was very loud barking non stop and we requested to be moved to another room but only if it could be one bed and pull couch and again the amount of money being paid pull out couch is not option . I called about beach service to be set up on the Saturday before coming the woman on the phone was very unhelpful she kept wanting to direct me online. I advise that would be fine but there is few questions that online does not address she was still very reluctant to answer. The beach service was behind on beach towels for 30 minutes. The hotel and pool very nice and the parking staff was nice as well but I can not say much regarding the rest of the staff.

From the valet to the in room dining team, everyone was excellent. The spa experience was better than any I have experienced in the past. Our anniversary trip was so relaxing, our favorite place to stay.

Property was beautiful. Misleading as it is NOT directly on the beach. It’s very loud, between builders, landscaping, helicopters, and planes. Food is adequate but very over priced. I didn’t know anything about this place when I booked it so I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel appears to be pretty new and was very clean and beautiful. The pools were great and all heated. There is a separate adult pool. The run-of-the-house room was larger than average and much nicer than expected. There is a little patio as well. The only thing that was a little deceiving is that the property is not right on the beach as some of the photos would suggest. It’s a short walk to the beach, however. The property is also right next to Henderson Beach State Park, which is really nice because it feels a bit less crowded. Your room key afford you access to the state park And they have beach chairs and umbrellas out on the beach as well. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Destin.

Beautiful resort. Very clean and nice staff. Room Was very comfortable and balcony had a great view, awesome pool area. I only gave 4 stars because parking is hike away from the hotel itself and the beach was absolutely beautiful and well cared for but again it’s a bit of a walk from the hotel. Lots of gates to go through to get there. Just didn’t feel as convenient as other resorts I have stayed in the past. Would I stay here again, absolutely. Just things to be aware of if your staying with kids.

We loved our stay at The Henderson Beach Resort. It’s adjacent to Henderson State Park so it gives a secluded vibe. The beaches were never crazy crowded. The property is beautiful. We loved the pools as well. The room service food was just okay but this would not hinder us from going back.

The room tub stopper did not work, the fan made this squeaking noise. Some of the food was not up to par. Got a burger for $21 and it was more than well done close to burnt. For $568 a night my expectations I guess were might higher than theirs.

The staff was super friendly, especially the valet guys! Very convenient location. However, we were very disappointed in the brunch at the Beach Cafe. Overpriced for a mediocre food. Everything else was great.

Is clean property, has 3 different pools, small gym, dinner are okay, but they’re better options out of property. Careful with the bartenders in Horizon bar. Looks romantic in the night. Is few min away from the beach, if you want sand only they’re better options and cheaper. Maybe I can will comeback

Very nice property in excellent condition. Room was well laid out with a very comfortable bed. We ate a Thanksgiving meal at the Henderson inn. The majority of the dishes were excellent though for $300 for the two of us (with tip) with no alcohol I’d have expected fresh turkey breast not the pressed bland meat I was served. I also found the $20 a day parking fee annoying. When you’re paying $400 a night for a room how about comping the parking?

Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The only thing that needs improvement would be the wait staff in the restaurant Primrose. Specifically the morning breakfast waitresses. I still left gratuity only because I’m a good person.
