My husband wouldn’t let me go to the car in the parking lot after dark cause it didn’t seem safe. The other thing that was disappointing was the pool access. We couldn’t take advantage of it because it didn’t open until 9am. We are early risers and like to take a few laps before breakfast/our start of our day. We had a business appt at 10am. We asked if they could let us in at 7am and the desk clerk said no, there wasn’t anyone to check the chemicals. I chose this hotel on Expedia based on the presence of the pool. Otherwise the beds were very comfy and it was clean and the breakfast was halfway decent.

Down to one elevator made it challenging on the 5th floor competing with others to use it but we made sure to give us more time to wait.

Overall this hotel was good for the price I paid. The staff was very nice and accommodating at checkin. The room was basic but comfortable except for the bed. Too firm for my back. Very firm in fact. Where I was, was noisy and my next room neighbor kept waking me up flushing his very noisy toilet multiple times during the night. It took ages for the hot water to come through for the shower. I was just about to give up when it suddenly got warmer. Shower in general was nice after it heated up. Bathroom was clean and nice enough. I liked that the vanity was inside the bathroom. Housekeeping was ok. I moved a footstool from in front of the armchair and found someone else’s dirty sock underneath it. Kinda shows a lack of attention to detail. Other than that, the room was clean. I did have a bad experience with the housekeeper. I had the DND sign on my door so I could sleep in but she took it upon herself to knock on the door and wake me up to ask me if I was staying or checking out. Yeah, not ideal. I thought she would have known that info from her info sheet, especially since they’re only doing housekeeping on request or at checkout. Lol. Also be aware that Orbitz and Expedia states that this hotel has an EV charger. It does NOT but there’s a fast charger at an Exxon gas station about three minutes away. There’s an Outback Steakhouse right beside it too so you could charge over dinner!! Overall it was an ok experience but watch out for those hard beds!

Trinity at the front desk was phenomenal, so kind and so sweet! Everyone there was amazing and the continental breakfast ( super important for me) was always delicious and well kept, with great staple options! Hotel was clean, beds were comfty and the rooms smelled great- all in all a perfect stay for a getaway with my partner- the only thing I had a complaint about was only one elevator working which made getting up and down from the 6th floor slightly inconvenient but did not at all take away from our amazing experience here!

This property isn’t for families. There is a gentleman’s club across the parking lot, and a rough dive bar next door. The room itself was clean and decent for the price. Only one elevator worked and it was full of drawings of wieners and other graffiti. The pool area was nice. A/C in the room got kinda weird at night. The listing says they have EV chargers on property…. They most definitely do not! The closest charging station is 25 minutes away at the mayfield shopping center. The staff were super nice though! We were booked for 3 nights, but decided to leave after 2, because when we pulled in on the 2 night, their was a larger white lady on the hood of a truck twerking it what appeared to be shorts for a toddler. If I was 21 and single, this might be a good time. But I highly recommend you spend $20 more a night for a different spot, if you have kids.

Parking lot is shared with a trucking company or other vehicle company. Wasn’t sure where to park for the hotel vs being on the property of a company. Decently cleaned hotel. Could have been better. There was hair on the side of the toilet closest to the tub so obviously when the bathroom was cleaned, it wasn’t done properly.

Everything was great except the parking lot is weirdly set up. The spaces are very small and hardly anyone was able to fit in a spot properly which resulted in many “open” spaces being unusable

The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. However, it seemed the floor hadn't been vacuumed and there were long hairs everywhere. The surfaces in the room didn't seem to have been wiped either. Breakfast was decent, standard hotel fare. Wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Property is aged. Room smelled bad. The floor was wet, I am assuming because the AC was not condensing properly. Woke up in the morning, stepped onto the carpet and it was wet, like the carpet had dew all over it. The tile in front of the bathroom was wet as well.

We got put into 2 different rooms, both with stained beds

Check in was great, the host was very attentive. The hallways stunk, the floors had so much black spots all over. The room smelt moldy and pee soaked. The curtain ha d black fingerprints all over. The bathroom door would not close for anything. The AC was loud and the air smelt so bad. Outside had about 10 Spanish people grilling and playing games as if they were having a family reunion. This was by far the worst stay I have had at any hotel. I barely slept and as soon as it was light out I left. I would not recommend. My kids were so uncomfortable.

Didn’t spend much time at the hotel, but all services from the front desk, breakfast area, and housekeeping were great. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean!

The hotel was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall it was a great stay.

While Comfort Inn University in Wilmington, NC was a convenient location to everything, the hotel itself was very poor. The facility was dirty and unkept. The furniture in the room was dirty and had spills all over the place. The room microwave had not been cleaned. Food was splattered all over the inside. The bathroom was semi-clean but had missing racks. The room floors were wet and moldy and we could hear sounds and noises from the room next to us into the early morning. Breakfast was subpar and the toaster was broken.

The carpets were filthy in our room. The bathroom tub did not drain, and the bathroom was not clean around the tub. In addition, why would there be a coffee maker on the sink,a terrible location and unsanitary. Not sure why others gave it a good review.

Our room smelled so badly of mold, we immediately left. The room looks nothing like any of the images they show on the website. We literally left 15 minutes after walking into the room, it made me so nauseous. We ended up staying at another hotel.

It met our needs. The AC didn’t cool as much as we would like, and it didn’t feel as “nice” as some other hotels, but no complaints.

This was our second stay and it was fine. The pool was great but the AC in the room wasn't able to keep the room cool during the day.

One elevator was broken. The other was very slow and had graffiti carved on the walls inside of it. The lamp in the room was broken and had questionable substance on it. We also tried multiple times to connect To their WiFi and it never worked.

Stayed in 609 where apparently there’s a decent access point for WiFi. Got work done and enjoyed the stay. Staff was excellent and breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable!

The fact that I couldn’t connect any device with HDMI to the TV really ruined the experience

The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. There was more than enough open (albeit tight) parking available. The only issue is that the AC in our room wasn’t removing excess moisture from the air, was adding lots of moisture to the air—or both. It was so bad that condensation made everything in the room feel very damp and the floor tiles near the room entrance were visibly wet and slippery throughout our stay. It was so bad that the metal bases to the lamps by the bed were actually rusty. We reported this to the front desk at checkout and were told they would have maintenance check on it, but this was obviously a long-standing issue and I doubt anything will be done to correct it.

Asked for a specific room because the last time we stayed there, the WiFi was perfect. Unfortunately, it was dirty so I had to get one half the hallway down where there apparently isn’t an access point. So the Internet disconnected a lot and I was unable to get work done remotely. This seems like a VERY basic thing. Neighbors were “doing the deed” which made a hammering sound at 5am. It woke us up. Maintenance doesn’t fix things the correct way; but rather makes it work for the time being. All doors slam and rattles the entire building. I skipped breakfast both days this stay; but it’s normally good.

The room and bathrooms were very clean and the beds and linens were comfortable. My only complaint is that the room always felt damp; the carpet was damp, all of my belonging were damp, even my Kindle had condensation on it when I woke up in the morning. Thankfully we kept our beds made when we weren't in them so the sheets didn't feel damp.

The front desk attendant, Natalie, was very pleasant and helpful with check in and any questions we had. The room we had was very neat, clean and organized. We really enjoyed our two nights and will definitely book here any time we return to Wilmington!

The front desk staff was nice. The elevators were rough and scary, and the maid stole $700 out of our room.

The young lady who was working on the evening of 11.22.24 was AMAZING! We had an issue with our Expedia reservation and she went above and beyond to assist! She was very professional, expedited the issue, and resolved it in a timely manner. The facilities were clean and perfect for us as we were just passing through for the evening. We would stay here again!

Staff was outstanding

Excellent stay! The room was spotless and I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. I thank you for a wonderful room which was very quiet and easy to access. I am so appreciative of the spacious parking and I even had a chance to walk around the lot to start my day! Shoutout to Sandra and the other beautiful receptionist who greeted me with kindness as I had come for my sister’s memorial service 💕

The room was clean and quiet during the night. Everyone was friendly and the staff was approachable. Most of all, the front desk staff was willing to go above and beyond their job description. They left my family a personalized and heartfelt card which meant the world to us because I have never experienced this. The breakfast was good, check in and out was easy, the elevator was a little slow but it was not a bad experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel 10/10.

The front desk lady was argumentative when checking in. I checked in around 7:30pm and there was no one at the front desk. I waited for about 5-7 minutes. There was no bell so I called the phone. The lady at the front desk came out from the back and asked if I was the one calling. I said yes and she said I wasn’t gone that long. I let her know that she had been gone long enough for a line to form and she again stated it wasn’t that long with a slight attitude. The comment did not seem necessary.

Checked in a little before 3PM on a Friday. The front desk service was absolutely amazing! She was handling two check-ins at the same time and being attentative to BOTH. Highly impressive. The room was clean. But there was a small roll of pinstripe tape (for painting) in the bathroom and the toilet paper rolls appeared to have been wet and dried at one point. One of the rolls was smashed so it did the wobbly roll instead of a smooth circular roll. The maintenance guy appears to live on-sight. The painting over paint was highly noticeable everywhere. There were some types of colored spots in the tub. The internet was very spotty, despite being in the middle of the hallway near the access points. It also died multiple times. Ironically, it was the best connection to the Netflix fight that everyone seemed to have trouble with. Max speed was 1mbps (in a 1gbps world, this is sad). I stayed 3 nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Breakfast (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) was the same all three days including eggs, potatoes, and sausage with the same waffles (blueberry and regular). There were also bananas, muffins, and different types of bread. Monday, potatoes looked like they were left over from the previous day and reheated. Very dry and tasteless. All of the drinks were watered down tremendously. Sad because I only booked this hotel versus a competing one because of the breakfast. They other hotel had better internet; so I'll give that one a try next time I'm in the area.

Talk about a great staff! Every staff person was incredibly nice and so willing to accommodate our needs! Our daughter even asked to stay here the next time we are in town. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

Natalie at the desk was wonderful! She was wsrm and friendly and made us feel welcomed! Lovely spacious room with comfortable bed and good amenities! Would stay there again and would highly recommend it.

The pros: clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. The cons: there is a bar right next door that has an outdoor band playing until 2:00am. Live music so loud that you will not sleep. The bar patrons use the hotel parking lot so parking is tricky. The TV has 200 stations but none of them the ones you want! No movie channels, no HBO, lots of sports, religion and Spanish channels. So, you will be hearing the band all night and cannot even watch TV because the channel lineup is so bad. Not a fun Saturday night for me. Lastly, the remote did not work, the replacement remote also did not work and the third remote finally worked. The smoke detector was chirping at first but finally stopped. The lady at front desk was overwhelmed. I think she has to hear lots of complaints about the music. Other than that, location is convenient but just know you won’t get any sleep.

The hotel was clean, had a friendly staff and the bed was comfortable. No complaints with the hotel but the bar next door was very loud and didn’t stop playing music until 1:30 am. We could hear all the lyrics word for word. We were on the 6th floor. So as far as a restful nights sleep sadly it wasn’t. Again no fault of the hotel just something to know when booking.

The breakfast was very basic. Homeless people inside approaching customers.

It was quite noisy-lots of traffic noise and the usual,l people slamming their room doors all night long. Breakfast was lacking-no fruit, empty chaffing dishes-not much of a selection.

Everything was clean from the outside to the lobby. The rooms clean and furniture slight worn but decent. The front desk staff very friendly and housekeeping was very attentive of our needs. Finally, breakfast had a lot of variety and was very nutritionist. Something for everyone, my family of four enjoyed our stay. I will recommend this hotel.

Breakfast closed 30 minutes early

It was a clean facility, staff were great . The breakfast was ok sausage was very greasy dried eggs it did not taste fresh at all. I felt the breakfast could have been better.
