July 4 weekend and the pool was closed, green. No milk at breakfast. Large gap in room door, scary from elevator. We did stick towels under which helped. So far, no word from property.

I made our reservation 2 days before our arrival. I called the property directly (unfortunately i didn't get her name) to confirm they have a pool for my 3 year old grandson. I was told they do have a pool so i booked it. When we get to the property i asked the location of the pool. I was then told that the pool was closed because it needed an inspection. I wasn't told that when i called. There were other issues with the room as well but that is my main complaint.

The hotel for the most part was clean, under staffed which made calling the front desk very difficult at times, but for the most part the staff was courteous & professional . The biggest disappointment was that the pool had been closed all summer

Check-in was a breeze. The room keys and parking pass were all ready for me to pick up. Elevators were a little slow. There were no directions for the wifi, or breakfast hours.

The room was clean and comfortable. But the pool was not unusable and with 90 degree days it would have been nice to take a dip.

We reserved this hotel specifically for the amenities of an outdoor pool and fitness space. I have been here for 5 days (4 nights) and the pool has been closed the entire time. This was not mentioned on the website when booking. Likewise the fitness center had three machines, one not functioning at all, and dismal set of weights where half or more were missing. I shared my displeasure with three different staff and none seemed to care. I came here for my son's college orientation and will be visiting often. I assure you I won't stay here again and I'll tell other parents the same. Truly a disappointment for the Holiday Inn chain...

The hotel was fine except the pool wasn’t open and they don’t tell you that until you check in! It sucks that you book a hotel and it’s so hot out and the pool doesn’t work. So for that reason alone I wouldn’t stay there again! I should be given a discount!

For the most part our stay was great. Front desk staff was great but we did get a call at 10:30 pm to confirm our late checkout. Zzzzzzzz. On another note loved the pool but it would have been nice to have cushions on chairs. Also we came down to use pool next more and pool was not open due to cleaning. I would say over an hour and half beyond when it was supposed to open. Cleaning techniques looked thorough but hindered the fact that the attendant lite cigarette after cigarette while vacuuming pool. Ummmm? No wonder it took so long. If you're posting an open time then cleaning should be done long before 9.

The only negative experience was no maid service. Requested clean towels at the front desk, after informing the staff about no maid service, and still didn’t get any. There were two more inconveniences, the ice machine didn’t work on our floor and one of the elevators was not working one night during our stay.

Our room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the sitting area and large tv. The bedroom having a separate door from rest of room made it cozy. The “kitchen” area was clean.

Bathroom and towels not clean upon arrival. Next day housekeeping didn’t give any hand towels or washcloths. Couldn’t reach front desk. Need to improve Housekeeping.

Check in time was three hours later due to the lack of towels, the room was dirty smelly. The plumbing was backed up in the shower. The room smelled of mildew and other things furniture was not clean. It had dust on it from days and weeks of not being dusted And

Pool was closed all the time while was not mentioned when booked. Room was smelling mold and the manager admits it because building is too old. Found roach in the bathroom and fridge was not functional. Do not recommend

Very musty and damp smelling. Smear on ceiling that I suspect was mold. No fresh towels during our 4 night stay; each day we had to go searching for bath towels. The bathtub did not drain properly and the bathroom became extremely wet and steamy during every shower as there was no fan. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant, I just got the impression they were understaffed and not caring for the property.

Nice hotel minutes from downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. Staff friendly and professional, clean spacious room and comfortable bed. Great value and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were put in a dirty room. Steven at the front desk sorted out the issue and ungraded our room. The water in the shower was lukewarm and the flow was weak. The next night our room key wouldnt work. Steven sorted this out too. Holiday Inn hotels used to be impressive. Great breakfast, clean.cotton sheets and clean rooms. This is no longer the case. We will not be using this brand again. I wish every employee was like Steven.

Three main takeaways from this stay: 1. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and we were placed on the last remaining floor not yet remodeled. As a result, there was a lot of wear/tear on the room. Workers starting getting noisy around 9:30a in rooms nearby, but noise levels were down again by around 6:00p. All those "negatives" can/should be dismissed, as that is just part of renovating. I would just recommend asking for a renovated room when making your reservation. 2. The staff members were GREAT! We interacted with housekeeping, breakfast staff, front desk, and maintenance staff while there. All were pleasant, helpful, and seemed to enjoy being there. We had no problems on our stay, but always make a point to talk with the employees when we see them. We made it a point to compliment the general manager on the staff when we saw her on our last morning/checkout. 3. The walls/doors are NOT very sound dampening. In our 4 night stay, we were awakened several times by doors closing down the hall, people walking by having conversations, and similar noises that are going to exist in every hotel but should be solved by simple sound dampening between rooms and a good door. I doubt they added soundproofing when renovating, and, if not, be prepared to wear earplugs or keep your A/C running for white noise. The noise level is the only big complaint I can offer. Otherwise, it was a great stay at a convenient location with super nice people.

The room was renovated however not all new items were installed just yet. The water pressure of the shower, toilet and sink was very low.

It was nice but our shower in room 306 barely had any water dripping out. It could use some updating.

Comfy bed, good service. Great breakfast (for a hotel breakfast). My one big complaint is the A/C was off and locked out where we could not turn it on or adjust anything. The wall thermostat was also blank and unusable. The room ended up being hot, both my wife and I had trouble sleeping because of the heat. Not sure why we weren’t allowed to set A/C but that was frustrating. Otherwise good hotel

Staff was pleasant. King bed was super comfy. Very clean room.

Had a room with a connecting door - we could hear everything they were saying and doing. The children were loud and kept us awake, then their alarm went off at 5:00am! No sleep after that! Especially with all the screaming and shouting! We were given a different room for the second night that was much quieter. We were given a bill for an additional $109.00, although we had paid in full. Reception said to ignore the bill.

The hotel was fairly clean for the most part but the customer service was absolutely horrible. The red head working the night shift was absolutely the worst human I have had to deal with. Our room description was one king bed and pull out sofa bed. We went to pull out the sofa bed and no bed. The lady goes well whoever checked you in should of told you. She was the lady who checked my husband in and said absolutely nothing!! Nothing was done about it we just had to deal with it apparently. The lady lacked customer service. Not only did she get rude with me. My 15 year old went to ask for more towels and she was rude to my daughter! A freaking kid!!! Thank God it was only one night and we made due. Not to mention we were there with a group and they all encountered the same horrible service. Needless to say we won’t be using this hotel ever again.

Jasmine at the front desk made our check in experience better than we could’ve imagined. After finding out we had just gotten here from a 14 hour drive, she put us into a suite! The suite is super clean and it feels so good to unwind in a place like this after a super long day. Thank you, Jasmine!

We were traveling up from Miami and got there very late 3 AM in the morning and Kyle was amazing at the front desk. He had all of our paperwork ready and knew we were coming told us where to park with our RV so the check-in was quick so that we can get to bed ASAP hit breakfast in the morning and be out the door. The AM staff was pretty awesome as well.

I stayed there for 2 days and the first day and a half was okay I guess my air conditioner stopped working and I didn't move until late afternoon or the second day. I was moved to a room with a shower that was the size of a coffin and the water would not drain so I had to stand in my shower dirty water which I can't stand. Also and the room before where the air conditioning broke I found a menstrual cup for sex thingy where the mage did not look and a little cubby where the blow dryer is. It was used. The night staff was phenomenal actually the two gentlemen there were out of this world great staff very helpful went over and beyond for me. However the 60-year-old or so woman I think who is the manager the next morning was horrific she was very rude. Didn't have a smile or a nice thing to say to anyone. Then demanded I come back to the lobby and give them a credit card to put on file for incidentals I tried to explain to her that they already had one that I was in the room the day prior and they could use my card from that because I just stepped out of the shower and it was almost check out time. She was not hearing it and told me to come to the lobby immediately. If I had anything to do with it I would get that woman fired she does not need to be working behind the desk where she has to interact with other people because she does not know how to do so in a professional or even polite manner. Extremely disappointed basically ruined my whole stay after an interaction with her

I was doubled booked and tried to cancel one of the reservations immediately. I went to the property and spoke with Regina (front desk clerk) she was unwilling to contact a manager or cancel one of the reservations. She told me that only Hotels.com could cancel the reservation and there was nothing at all that she could possibly do to help. Regina was very rude on the two occasions I spoke with her.

It was an excellent check in. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and polite. This is a very good hotel and I will stay here again.

The staff were amazing...we had an emergency & they changed our room to fit more family & checked on us later .I really appreciated that. The breakfast is very nice!!

My stay was pleasant and the room was clean. The only con was the breakfast when I got there an hour before it close, there was practically almost done. No more refill except for the eggs

The breakfast is pretty bad. Let’s start with the utensils. The spoons are each wrapped in their own plastic cover, which is nice. Whereas the forks are all completely loose crammed into a container tines up so that you have to touch lots of forks to get one. I don’t know whose fingers had been all over the fork I took. There were no knives whatsoever. The lady said knives did not come in on the truck. Well that that means the manager should drive out to Walmart and buy 10 to 20 boxes of plastic knives and bring them back to his hotel. The food was mostly bad across-the-board. The turkey sausage was as dry as shoe leather, the whites only omelette, tasted like it was made from powder, and the freshly made pancakes were tough. The lady working the breakfast area was very nice.

We only had a one night stay but no complaints. Front desk was very friendly and the breakfast was good.
