My stay was average. Arrived Thursday, 20 June. Great location due to shops and restaurants in walking distance. High end to low end. Something for everyone. Outdoor pool and small basketball court. Electric vehicle charging station on side of Hotel. Free parking. I rate average for a few reasons. Really hot weather. Pool was closed for cleaning on Saturday. Why Saturday of all days. The bed pillows were terrible. No support at all. I had to slam my room door to ensure it was closed. Not sure how to decribe the smell, but there was a bad smell at entrance of hotel on Friday morning. I noticed smoking area on both side of hotel as you enter. Possibly created the bad smell. Worst place to have a smoking area. I did notice a sign that said "non-smoking facility in same area people were smoking. Thought this was ironic to see smoking at your entrance with the non-smoking sign literally next to smoking area. I rated hotel as average; however, I believe the hotel has potential to be great.

My pros are the staff was very accommodating, friendly,and helpful. Jeb stood out the most.He made a delightful host. My cons there was a dirty ring in the tub, We purchased a room with a peloton bike. There was no bike! The gym bike was broken. The seat was broken, the screw that lifts and tightens was also broke. Glad there was a shopping center there ...That was my exercise.

Great location to shops and restaurants. Nice pool and lobby/breakfast area. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom plus living room set up is awesome for families. Pool water was warm. Cute lake along side the property

It was great but the pool was closed all 4 days of our stay! I looked forward having a pool in our hotel on our vacation. This was a bummer. I wish they could have done something to compensate this.

Clean and well kept hotel. Each morning offered different breakfast choices. Laundry facility was clean with proper working machines. We would’ve liked to have stayed longer but the mall traffic during Thanksgiving/Black Friday was a bit much.

When I checked in, my room smelled like mildew. I traced it back to the garbage disposal in the sink in the kitchenette. I ran water and put some dish soap in it and then it started to smell like rot. I plugged it with a bowl and I let them know the next morning. They did send a maintenance guy up to fix it. In terms of the room, it was fine. A little rundown but fine for me. The pool was a deep green full of algae. Not something you’d want to swim in. It was like that for three days. I don’t know if they fixed it as it was still in that condition when I checked out.

We found a cockroach in the room, also reported they the TV in the bedroom was not working it was blue the image, never changed, also where missing the privacy shades. When I made the reservation never was made aware that the room is s not cleaned every day.

I was very excited to stay at The homewood suites in St. John’s town center because of the location. The location is PERFECT! However, the room was visibly unclean the bathtub was filthy, globs of hair on top of the drain in the shower, dog hair everywhere, human hair in the corners of the bathroom, lifted the sheets back strains of hair underneath, a bug crawling in the shower and wash cloths and towels were dingy of past dirt. This made the stay very disappointing. I could not sleep and was happy to leave. So very unfortunate, I really expected more.

Perfect location.... but hotel needs to be updated. Rooom was very comfortable but i wish it was cleaner. Toilet and shower were not clean. There was even hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. You can tell they did not sweep because someone makeup brush was on the floor left behind.

*Disclaimer* I was at this property on Memorial Day weekend, so there were a number of patrons. Inside: The property had trash everywhere. The receptacles were overflowing and my floor had several trashbags near a trashcan that did not move during my stay (I think they multiplied). My room smelled like bug spray, but I didn't see any bugs so maybe it is how the cleaning supplies smell. I did book last minute, as I was on a road trip, but there were towels from the previous patron still in the room (hanging on the back of the door; I guess they just added the new towels and didn't look back there). There was also a towel hanging near the sink that was either used or had a gnarly stain on it. The kitchenette was very small, but it did function. And their free breakfast did smell good and the people I passed looked happy with their waffles and coffee. Outside: This hotel is next to a shopping center and apartment complex; it is hard to figure out where to enter and how to get out. It almost feels like you are on your way to make a delivery. However, the proximity to the shopping center also means that you are close to a grocery store, many dining options, and multiple retailers of every kind.

There was no hot water in the morning. Trash was left all over our assigned floor. The front desk wouldn’t answer the phone for questions/complaints. The hotel was in disrepair. I should have refused to pay, but I didn’t. Hotels.com should not list this property in its folio.

Was greeted by staff that continued texting on her phone while I waited to be checked in. I understand things happen and people have to be on phone but she could have at least spoke to me. Mold in shower and carpets felt dirty. Was on first floor an outside lights are angle to shine in your room all night

Subpar stay compared to past stays at this hotel. Pillows were awful, old work out pillows made for a sleepless night. Been better in the past. Breakfast was very good. Front desk staff very good. Noisy ac unit. Don’t like the smokers area by the front door. Have to walk through smokers, ugh! Big carpet stains by the 3rd floor elevator were gross.

We usually stay here when we visit from Savannah, but this was the second time we had a bad experience. This time, the noise in the room above us sounded like they were training horses. Constant jumping up and down was extremely loud. We called on the second night, but the noise continued. Then my wife went to the front desk and they gave us a room on the top floor. We go there to relax for a couple days, and it was anything but relaxing. After packing up and moving all our stuff, we finally had a relaxing evening. There must be some way for the management to control noisy hotel guests.

We have stayed here several times for a week and we will stay again because the location is our favorite. This visit was a bit challenging. We gave the front desk a list of things that needed to be dealt with in our room and no one addressed them. Our TV had a purple hue to every channel. We were told it probably needed to be replaced. No one got back with us to even try to adjust it. The sheers in the Master were literally shredded/torn from top to bottom. The sheers in the living room were missing so for privacy we needed to use the darkening drapes. Not good during the day. There were a couple of other items. This was not the case our previous stays. Our next stay, we’ll make sure we inspect the room before we unpack incase we need to change rooms.

The front desk host, Ice, was amazing! She was great at fitting me in when my Expedia reservation didn't go thru. She was the absolute best! The breakfast in the morning was also fantastic! However, my room wasn't the greatest (not their fault since they were full) but I heard the other rooms were nice. Mine, however, was dated and really run down.

The light switch for the bathroom includes a nightlight when the bathroom light is not on. The nightlight is inside the bedroom. If light bothers you while you sleep, bring something to cover it (electrical tape, bandaid, etc). Pillows were awful. Bed was ok not the best but not the worst ever. We had a pleasant stay. Super convenient and quiet. They do place an additional $50 hold on your card even though Expedia already placed said hold on your payment.

Great location, convenient to shopping, restaurants & major highways. Very nice room& front desk staff. However, the room was not ready for 3:00 pm check-in when we arrived around 3:45. Had to wait in the lobby for someone to check if the room had been cleaned. The hotel was far from capacity. While we were more than willing to take another room for our 1 night stay to get settled after a 3 hr. drive, we were told that wasn't a possibility. We arrived at 2:30 pm to see if we could be checked in early. The gentleman at the desk was nice but noticeably worried/frazzled. He told us that there werent any rooms available yet, he was talking to maintenance and housekeeping. He tried to work through the issue for roughly 40 min. More families came in and he finally was told by maintenance that he could use the rooms.We were sent to 102, the room was empty of people, but had not yet been cleaned and was still needing maintenance to finish doing their bath tub project. We went back to the lobby and ended up waiting until 5:17ish to be checked into that same room. The room was ok, but we could tell that the quality standard for maintenance given to the bath tub project was low. The front desk staff was very nice, but the quality we have come to know amd love from Hilton properies was not there. Having to wait for 2.5 hours after check in after a long day was too much.

Check in process was hprrinle. 20 minute wait necause Essence the counter rep needed to take her sweet time taking reservations on the phone while there were 6 people online waiting to check in. Then there was no water during the day for 3 days. And at 9:30am they are knocking on my door to checkout when its not even 11am yet.

Stay was wonderful. Hotel was clean and surprisingly quiet. Tons of activities and restaurants in the surrounding area. Staff was friendly and helpful. View of pond behind the property was also nice. GPS directions a little confusing as they take you behind the local retailers. Will stay at this property on my next visit to Jacksonville.

The property is in a great location close to shopping. Staff was very helpful. The only draw back we had was our refrigerator the first night kept leaking water on the floor . We informed management and they quickly moved us to another room. The breakfast is questionable. Not much to it. It seems like everytime we ate it . It was always cold. They could certainly do a better job in this area. Other than those two things it was good stay.

The only complaint we have are the pillows, they are so flat not even folding them in half made them comfortable for sleeping, the daily breakfast was great lots of choices and the Wednesday happy hour was a nice surprise, free wine, beer, soup and salad plus cheese, veggies, fruit and dessert, plus all the staff were very friendly and welcoming, i highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is in a good location near shopping and restaurants. The room was very clean but the air conditioner made a lot of noise. At breakfast there is was no breakfast meat of any kind. Very disappointed about that.

The pool is warm and goes to 5 feet. They always have waffles with all the kid toppings (chocolate chip, whip cream, Carmel sauce, etc…). Different types of yogurt, boiled eggs, bagels and muffins. They change up stuff like scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, hash browns, sausage patties and sausage links… The rooms were cozy with a comfortable bed. The employees were always nice and helpful… We will stay there again next time we stay in Jacksonville!
