Perfect stay with friends. Only bad thing is you’re in the lift for 30 minutes waiting to go down as it constantly jumps up and down floors. But the room was lovely, staff friendly and only £10 to check in early!

Disappointed with the hotel. Stayed because close to Motorpoint Arena. Location is good for that and city centre. No parking at hotel but near railway station with reasonably priced car park. But found reception staff unfriendly and the room we were given had not been cleaned when last users left. We were given another room but when we returned late on 3rd day of stay after long day out the housekeeping staff had left our room door unlocked. I appreciate the hotel was very busy but this is obviously unacceptable. Last straw, the lifts take forever to arrive and to get to destination (one was out of order)!

Zero on hotel parking, however plenty (bus station) near by within 8 minute walks. Room aircon works well, but still noisey outside and the room cleaner is on it from 0600 asking if people are checking out 😂 breakfast was alright, standard and pretty okay.

Good hotel in a great location in Nottingham as it’s a couple of minutes’ walk from the train station and very central. Hotel felt well maintained and clean. Room was good but, as others note, the bath feel uselessly shallow and means you ended up battling the shower curtain. Note I couldn’t find any sign of the advertised gym. Maybe it’s still there, but there’s no signage. I phoned from the room to ask, didn’t get an answer and gave up.

this was a good hotel to stay in close to were we needed to be. food in the bar area was good and hot. staff were friendly and helpful. if I had to pick a fault it was no parking and the nearest parking was a bit of a walk.

Not a 4 star hotel. On checking in the staff member was unhelpful and surly. The air conditioning in our room did not work. There was pubic hair in bathroom from previous occupants.

Great location and the reception, bar and restaurant area were very well presented and looked really updated. Warm welcome with lots of information given at check in, unfortunately went down hill from there. Sheets although clean were stained, there was dust on various parts of the ceiling and the bathroom extractor fan was on all the time and no way of turning it off and second key card wasn’t programmed correctly. You should also be aware that if you get a room on the road side as we did you can hear every bit of traffic as the windows are not glazed to prevent it from getting noisy.

It was a comfortable and reasonable stay apart from the room not having a fridge, which was surprising to me, particularly as it was a superior room. This was compounded by the TV stations being limited due to a technical reason, that was addressed the next day once informed staff.

The location is great 7 min walk from main area in town. Staff were outstanding really went out there way several times to accommodate my needs. Libby in reception is a credit to you company and really was there for anything I asked for or needed assistance with. Haven’t got any issues about staying here again.

Absolute shambles. Arrived late at night to find my booked and paid for room had been sold. No explanation. Just ‘computer says no’ from two feckless staff without any clue. Took them 45 minutes in the middle of the night to find me a room in the Hilton across town. (They lied telling me that they had contacted every hotel in the city when they’re quite clearly hadn’t. They said that they had tried to find me a room in the Hilton Hotel, they hadn’t, I checked.) What happens if I’d have been with a young family, or an alone female traveller? Why was no explanation given? Why was the room sold when I had a confirmed booking? A disgrace.

Check in on Monday was laughable. Queues literally out of the door. Only 2 receptionists even though there are 4 check in terminals. My biggest gripe was the downright rudeness of the person on check In when I left the property today. There’s no on site car park so you have to use a nearby city centre car park. When I checked in, I was told this would be discounted when checking out of the property. This turned out not to be possible as I left the property after 10am. No issue with that but the manner in which it was dealt with was incredibly poor and quite frankly, very rude. He offered me a voucher for a drink instead which was a little odd seeing as i was leaving…. On a positive note, the young lady who was doing housekeeping duties at around 6pm yesterday evening was super helpful helping me retrieve my bags. You ought to get her to train the reception desk staff in the art of customer service.

At 9.30 pm I was advised that my room was no longer available because the hotel had over booked. There was no apology for this abd when i explained my surprise the staff just said "well its allowed we can do thay". I explaoned it was late i had my daughter was with me and it was unacceptable she said she would send me to a sister hotel which turned out 20 mikes feom my initial location. Extremely annoying when i had paid to stay central. I had to insist the hotel pay for ny taxi to the next jotel rather than it being offered. After being koved hotel tge sister hitel was much less than the 4* i originally booked despite its claim to be. The corridors smelled musty staff unpleasant and to completely fall short i woke up to find a shower not working. I went to reception to ask for a refund at this point which rhe only slightly polite staff explained i couldnt have because the booking was originally made at their Leonardo Hotel. Poor service, unwelcoming, rude staff that literally smirked and shrugged their shoulders at the situation they put me in. Worst experience of staying at a hotel ive ever had.

front desk staff are not nice, not kind, the hotel has no car park, I asked front desk a map of the car park, but the girl immediately said no, I am a Japanese and do not know the area, staff should be kind and nice to customer, also when i checked out, other girl did not say thank you, even I told her thank you, this is very unusual in Japan.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, and the air conditioning was great. The shower had great temperature and water pressure. The breakfast buffet was also very good and had many options for food / beverages. The location was very close to the train station, and about a 15 minute walk from city centre. Would definitely stay here again.

The front desk lady who checked us in was exceptionally kind and polite. Thank you for making it a pleasurable experience. The room was very clean with nice deco. We were on the 8th floor with open view overlooking the city. Quite noisy from the live band across the street but they managed to stop at 10pm. It is on every Friday night so better get a room away from that.
The front desk lady who checked us in was exceptionally kind and polite. Thank you for making it a pleasurable experience. The room was very clean with nice deco. We were on the 8th floor with open view overlooking the city. Quite noisy from the live band across the street but they managed to stop at 10pm. It is on every Friday night so better get a room away from that.

The hotel is in a good location for shopping and it was easy to park at the bus station carpark. The reception areas were quire modern and the staff were friendly. The food in the bar was good. The heating was broken throughout the hotel when we visited and the temperatures were freezing outside. The bathroom was tired and we were missing towels. There were several blood stains on curtains. For £175 a night they need to up their game. We were offered complimentary breakfast and it wasn't great. Hairs in scrambled egg and all the hot food was cold. Very little attention to cleanliness or to ensure correct utensils were provided to avoid cross contamination of food. Overall, we were dissapointed with this hotel and we'd spent over £350 for two nights away.

Excellent modern hotel convenient for railway station, tram stop and short walk to city centre. The room was comfortable and clean. All the staff I met were professional and friendly. The buffet breakfast was very good and my poached eggs were cooked to order. It is the second time I have stayed at the hotel this year and I would be pleased to do so again.

Went down to the bar, nice for drinks but then we ordered food, very below par. 23 pound for dry salmon and frozen chips. The 'nduja marinated chicken thighs were dry grilled chicken breast with a few unmelted nduja butter disks on top. Very disappointed.

We found as vegetarians the dining and lunch menu, being the same, showed very little for us. On several nights we resorted to a selection of side dishes, or soup which was the same every night. On most occasions, an item ordered was not available, even such a basic as vanilla ice cream. The service was sometimes slow in that there was a long wait between ordering and receiving food.Maybe most people don't stay more than a week so choice isnt an issue, but we were there for family reasons and stayed 12 nights. Cant fault the staff, they were lovely. Special mentions to Beth on reception and Becky , breakfast supervisor who did their utmost to help and offered kind words and showed interest in us during our stay. The evening bar staff were friendly too thanks Jack and George. Would we stay there again, yes we would.

Our room (518) was comfortable, however the bathroom desperately needs updating (chipped floor tiles, paint flaking off, very old shower...). Definitely not 4* standard. As for breakfast, very disappointing! Scrambled eggs very dry, and apart from the sliced bread, all the pastries were not 4 * standard. Croissants and pains au chocolat were very underbaked. Muffins were as hard as rock. Bagels dry (not fresh). Blue Berry muffins not nice at all, tasted cheap. I'm afraid on this basis, I will have to think twice before I book a Leonardo hotel again ☹️
